Just out of curiosity, can our characters kick an opponent in the...umm.... sweets and stun them for a turn-ish? sweatdrop

Yep, I allow called-shots, though there is a penalty on the attack roll.

I'm going to go post in my other campaigns and give the other players a chance to catch up. I will probably post one more time tonight though, and you can feel free to converse with Deerhunter, since I'll still be on a looking mrgreen

Fort Save! hehe. Assuming it's a humanoid who has such umm...organs, it would likely be a Fort Save. Damage should probably affect the DC. But, kicking would provoke an attack of opportunity if you don't have Improved Unarmed Strike. This is, of course, just my thoughts on the matter...well except the last part, that's just in the rules.

That's cuz I spend lots of time while in bed just thinking of how to apply real life situations to D&D. I spent a few days thinking of rules for "boxing" ones ears. But I'd need to read up on deafness before I could put that together.

I bought a notebook to set near my bed for just that reason, but I failed to take one thing into account...light. I need a light above my bed or something in order to write in the middle of the night.

Now, assuming Blood agrees, this is how I would see it working. Let's say Tanith (my monk character) wants to drop an elf via a "dirty shot". He makes his attack as normal with the penalty for a called shot. I don't know what the penalty is, but I'm going to assume it would be a -2 as that's an average modifier. So the elf's DC is 15, Tanith has +4 to hit, he rolls a 14, and after modifiers gets 16 to hit. So his kick lands. Now, because he has Improved Unarmed Strike, he doesn't take an attack of opportunity, and does normal damage. He rolls his D6 (medium creatures do 1d6 damage with an unarmed strike, unless something says otherwise) So he rolls, and gets a 3, plus his 3 for strength mod. So then the elf has to make a fort save DC umm...probably 10+damage dealt, unless Blood things something else should be factored in. So in this case, the elf would need to beat a DC of 16 or be stunned. For like...I dunno, maybe 1D4 rounds or something, that's up to Blood.

So, does that sound right to you Blood?

Wait would the damage be sub or leathal? I mean it my Dimi-wizy kick said opponent in the goodies, did he just do 1d6 points of non-leathal+1d4 stun(fort save)?

That's pretty much it. The penalty for a called shot depends on the size of what you are aiming for. For a human-sized groin the penalty would be -4 to hit, since that counts as a tiny object (sorry guys, it's tiny no matter how well-endowed your character is). I think 1d4 sounds like a good amount of time for the effect too. Of course, most characters in metal armor (except breastplate) would be immune to this sort of attack, since they effectivley have a cup protecting that area.

Boxing of ears would work in much the same way. This would require two attacks, one with your main hand, one off-handed. The penalty would be -3, plus the hefty penatlies for your off-hand, unless you have unarmed strike and more than one attack per turn. Of course, I didn't spend all night thinking about it..

The damage is subdual unless you have Improved Unarmed Strike.

Here are some good places to look:

Forgotten Realms Gods listed with alignments and areas of power.
A more detailed list of the FR Gods

Anybody know of a better online resource?

Unless your "endowment" is roughly the size of a halfling, it's tiny as far as called shots are concerned.

Well, I didn't write any of it down, so I've forgotten the stuff I came up with.
