Koroji sat on the edge of his desk, watching the students as they arrived. He noticed Miss Akenabe come in, for some reason she caught his eye. A good student, for sure by her record.

He looked over them. One student yet to arrive. Jezzebelle Junarose. She still had time though. He went over his notes. Just a pretest today. If they got finished with it quickly enough he would start on basics.

Kimiko fiddled absently with her hair, waiting for class to begin.

Why couldn't she get Yuusuke off her mind? She chewed on the end of her pen, then opened her notebook to a page in the back. Most of her books had doodles or poetry written among the last few pages. She tried to focus, put her mind elsewhere, tried to write something...But the only words that came to her mind...

The point of her pen began to move almost of its own accord. She couldn't stop now.

She was oblivious to the class at this point.

Koroji Nagenami stood up fully now. "Very well, I believe that I have allowed enough time, and seeing as how we're missing one student, and she will be disciplined, but anyway, it is good to see you all. Kiritsu." He made a request for everyone to stand and then continued with "Rei," for everyone to bow. "Konnichiwa," was said by everyone as they bowed to begin class. "Chyakuseki." He requested all to sit. "Class, I welcome you to Music Theory. This class will observe what makes music work, that is, in short at least." He moved over to a stack of papers on his desk.

He picked them up and began to give a stack to the beggining of each row to be passed back. "Now, I know this isn't the most enjoyable thing to look at the first class day but I'm afraid I need to see what knowledge you have of Music Theory. Take one and pass it back, onegaishimasu. Answer what you can. You will not be graded. There are only ten questions. Please begin." Koroji went to his desk and sat down, waiting for the class to finish.

Kimiko looked up in surprise as the paper was deposited on her desk. She stared at the paper for a moment, before comprehension dawned on her features. Sighing, she closed her notebook and scribbled her name in appropriate place. Then, she looked down to the questions. The first one....Oh what did she know about the trumpet? How did you tune one of those things? She shrugged and skipped the question. If she had time, she'd puzzle it over to see if she couldn't figure out the answer. Question two was easier.

Half step she wrote. Interval? Was it a chord? She shrugged and wrote it down. She could read the notes but she was terrible at terminology. She wasn't sure about question four either. Was it three or four? Maybe not...She skipped that one too, and scrubbed at her face. She couldn't remember all this stuff. She just played...

The fifth...Wait...C.

How many sharps? Shoot...Oh wait, wasn't it four? She jotted it down.

Minor scales...Oh nuts. She gnawed on the end of her pen for a moment, and glanced at the clock. Not much time. Looks like she wouldn't be able to go back to those questions after all.

Minor scale...Minor scale...Oh duh! Kimi could have hit herself in the head. Three

What in the name of the gods was a pyramid of sound? She groaned and skipped another one.

Staffs she knew. Bass staff had five lines and four spaces. Treble had six and five..

And the Romantic era....Well, there was Beethoven...But that was probably the obvious answer.

Chopin she jotted down, then tucked her half-eaten pen over her ear as the bell rang. She picked up her things and walked up to the desk.

"Gomennasai, sensei...I'm afraid it's been too long since I reviewed my terminology." she said, handing him her paper with a bow. She turned and headed for the door.

Angel shuffled into the class quietly and took a seat near the back. He had his scribbler on his desk anda pencil out neatly lined up with an eraser and a small sharpener. He hid his hands under his desk and fidgeted with them. He glanced down at his paper and stared at it as if in a trance.

--> From Main office

Kiria walked in and looked around for an empty seat.
She then quickly sitted next to Angel and grabbed a few things from her back and putted them on the desk.

She looked then at Angel who looked like he was waiting for the paper to stand up and doing somekind of dance. She wanted to ask what was wrong but she just couldn't...Her own mouth didn't wanted her to do that so she just waited till the teacher would start his lessons, sometimes looking quikcly at Angel.

Koroji looked up from his desk as two of his students came in. He checked for how many students he had and was surprised. He smiled. That small boy looked quite frightened.

The sensei stood up from the tests he was grading from before and moved up to them. No reason a teacher couldn't make friendly conversation. "Good afternoon you two. I trust you've had a decent day so far?"

She almost flinched when the teacher was talking to her and that boy beside her but she managed to talk a little.

"I...I was... I was ill these past week....But i"m feeling much better now"
She tried to smile a bit...but that smile quickly whent away again.

"I...I am sorry sensei. I really...didn't wanted to miss youre classes"

"That is a great compliment, Tsunagi-san. Arigatou. I am glad to hear that you are getting better." Koroji then turned to the young man. "Is something the matter, Jacoby-san? You act like that piece of paper is going to jump up, walk around the room, and then do "Para-para." He smiled. Who said he didn't keep up with the times?

Keiran's head lifted a little startled to see people infront of him speaking.
"G-Gomen sensei.." he stuttered out blushing "What was the question?" he hadn't even realized that class hadn't officially started, but he was so lost in thought that ...... he really didn't even know which class he was even in anymore.

He glanced at the girl next to him then back at his paper waiting for the teachers response. He had so much to do...to say...outside of merely class...how was it possible to concentrate on everything at once? Or none of it at all? It was all so overwhelming

He shook his head. "Come now, boy, wake up. I suppose I've waited long enough. Seems that Mr. Rothyk, Ms. Aldhin, and Mr. Shimotsuma decided not to come to class. Unfortunate. It seems I have no choice. and none of them seem sick. So unfortunate. But that comes later. Today, we will have a ten question test on your knowledge of Music Theory. Gambatte!"

He handed out the tests. Once he sat down after handing out the sheets, he dialed in three numbers to his remote and pressed the activation button.
