"Why would I punish you Rin. You've done nothing to embarrass me and the only thing akward about this is that I'm the one holding you up instead of the other way around. I thought I was supposed to be the sensitive one." He started to grin at Rin but he was being kissed not a moment later. He simply wrapped his arms around Rins waist and held him loosely.
Sometime during all this, Trinity had woken up and was simply pretending to be asleep. He couldn't stop himself from doing it and let a whisper escape that Tristan heard. He didn't know if Rin had heard it or not though, so he didn't break the kiss. "Aawww, I knew they boyfriends. Go get 'im dad."

Rin broke the kiss and buried his face in the nape of Tristan's neck. He hadn't heard Trinity's little whisper and was still swimming in fear and bliss. Bliss from the kiss and fear of punishment. Rin figured he was being so womanish because his body was sensitive to gentle touch. Damn his previous training.
Rin mentally begged Tristan not to rebuke his affection to harshly. Rin's eyes remained closed and himself silent.

Tristan held Rin softly, his arms wrapped around him with his hands converged on the back of his neck. "It's alright Rin. You don't have to be afraid here. We want you to feel safe and loved not afraid hunted."

Rin took a deep breatyh trying to calm himself. He really was acting quite stupid...and in front of Tristan and Colonel Watsin. Rin was thankful he wasn't embarassing himself in front of trinity as well. ( Wink wink)
" I'm sorry I am acting so irrational. I guess my lack of affetion previously has made me susceptible to... affectionate displays. But returning to previous matters, I do wish to accompany you to the other station to help you raise Trinity. I'm not sure how much help I will be, but I will do my best to assist you General." Rin tried to recover from such an embarassing display on his part.

"It's alright Rin. I'm glad you want to come with me. Any help, any at all, will be greatly appreciated and it will help more than you know." he winked at Rin as he said 'any at all'.
Trinity made a long display of yawning and "waking up" as he spoke softly."Hey dad, what's for breakfast?"

Rin smiled and blushed a little before whipping away from Tristan when he heard the child wake up. He, honestly, was a little startled when he heard Trinity wake up. " Good morning Trinity. I trust you slept well?" Rin greeted Trinity in his usual polite manner, hoping the other didn't wake because of Rin's fit.

"I slept just fine Mister Rin. I had a funny dream though about me chasing flying fishes and trying to catch them with soggy pasketty noodles." he smiled widely at Rin, not wanting him to know he'd been awake since right after he came in.

Rin chuckled lightly " That certainly is an..interesting dream Trinity. Are you hungry?? Rin asked not really having seen the boy eat since they met the day before.

"UH-huh!" Trinity replied, rather enthusiastically, to Rin's question.
Tristan looked over at him and spoke softly."Rin, I'l be right back. I need to talk to my son outside for a minute."He took Trinity's hand and led him outside. It was obvious the two were talking about something but all that coud be heard through the door was Trinity's shout of "NO!"

Rin stayed in his spot with a worried look. If it were any place else with any other people, Rin would listen at the door. But he just had to trust that if he needed to know, he would be told.

Tristan walked back inside with Trinity on his heels. Once the two stopped, Tristan crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked down at Trinity, hiding behind his knees."Well? You said you would Bastion, if I started to call you by 'your name'." he emphasized, the words "your name" to show that he meant what Trinity's friends called him.
"Okay." Trinity walked around in front of his father and looked up at Rin, a sad, almost forlorn face showing clearly."I'm sorry Rin. I woke up while you and Daddy where being mushy." he made a typical kids "yuck" face before continuing."I tried not to listen or watch but I couldn't help it. You don't hate me now do you?" he asked as he backed up to his father, just in case Rin decided to try and ring his neck.

Rin looked away, obviously embarassed. But he sighed and smiled at the young Trinity." I don't hate you Trinity. You're young, curious, and, on retrospect, I was rather loud. I'm a little embarassed you say, and or, heard me like that but no harm done. " Rin took a deep breath and knealed so he was at eye level with Trinity.

"Ok. Can we go get breakfast now?" Trinity was glad Rin wasn't mad at him and was ready to eat something now.

Rin smiled " Sure... if its alright with your father." Rin nodded up to Tristan. Rin didn't just want to wisk the child away without Tristan's permission.

Commander Watsin interrupted before Tristan or Trinity could answer."I think we could all use something to eat Lieutenant. Come on, you're all invited to join me in my quarters for breakfast, Tristan for his newfound fatherhood, and Rin for being so kind and considerate as to help him get into the swing of being a kids pop." he laughed lightly as he layed one hand on Tristan's back and the other on Rin's with Trinity in front of him."Let's go guys." he started to walk off toward his private quarters with the General, Lieutenant, and the currently unknown technical mastermind of the Outlanders, Trinity.
