Well even though I like slivers, I have beet them back repeatedly with a Elf Deck. I just make sure to have a few tirbual unity and the mass land producing elves and a few elvish champions and primal rage. I also use constant mist and fog patch to cover me when I can't block xd
(unfortunitly there is no guarentee they have green in there deck sweatdrop )

Aluren Slivers tottally pwn everyone!!! As long as you have a Soul Foundry with Brood Sliver inprinted in it. And perhaps a Coat Of Arms somewhere. ^^

Artificial evolution dominates slivers!
All my creatures become slivers to gain the effects and all their slivers become useless bananas!!! lol
My friend with a sliver deck doesn't like me anymore. cry

There is but one good sliver deck that I've ever seen...Counter Sliver..extended back when Ice Age was legal.
Counter-Sliver

3x Winged Sliver
2x Acidic Sliver
4x Aura of Silence
4x Daze
4x Force of Will

4x City of Brass
4x Tundra
4x Underground Sea
2x Scrubland
2x Gemstone Mine
1x Undiscovered Paradise
4x Flood Plain
1x Tropical Island
1x Volcanic Island
Sideboard:
4x Erase
2x Swords to Plowshares
4x Pyroblast
2x Hydroblast
3x Worship
And even then, decks that could get a mass-kill spell in would murder it (albiet hard with the FoWs and Dazes).
I love playing against slivers. I get to pop a Pernicious Deed set for 4 and destroy their board. haha!

I don't know if this is the same for everybody, but I have found that I can beat a sliver deck as long as I can whip out out the beatings faster than they can. I have beaten a few sliver decks with my soilder deck, cause my main advantage was I was mono white, and could play 1 creature (at least) a turn, and he had to wait for mana. If you whip your sh** out fast, those slivers... how do I put it... die?

The only reply to this topic I have is that if it was the best everyone would be playing it. The same goes with every deck ever made. For every deck there is a deck to beat it, or a wizards judge to ban the broken cards.
I'd say more people would play it if it was the best, thats just not the case. It is probably the best creature type though.

Same with Zombies, since you can have good kill spells in a zombie deck.
