well, going to try and revive this, since looks like I may have killed the idea dump gonk
maybe we ought to have some more invertibrates on the island, be interesting to see a centapede crawling around. Sabin might like to have a big old black scarab beetle on the island since the scarab is an important symbol in eygptian mythology.


Open question to you all, What other 'additonal feature' serums (like the wings, tauric and others) would you want to be availible? I think having one that would replace say fur with feather, scales or something else would be interesting.

yeah, need more frightening, creepy serums to be used, scare not only the people injected with them, but the islanders too!


One interesting idea i got is that like 3 random serums get 'contaminated' and people that have these serums have random additional features or some unusual/strange things happen, like features from other& different species start to grow in

Hmm, why not a snowboarder who picked a bad place to take a holiday from the ski resorts. Considering Moreaus sense of humour one can imagine what serum he'd get. 3nodding

I know I'm getting ahead of myself when I say this, but should I ever get my quest character on the island I was considering having his sister become another "subject" when he's don with his transformation. twisted Since he's turned into a cat, she could be a dog, mouse or perhaps some kind of bird, but also being a breed of cat would be ideal for her brother, but considering Moreau, I doubt that would happen.

I like the sound of that, then Moreau could make them a desert animal, just to add insult to injury. Perhaps an Australian Thorny Devil Lizard. twisted

This is character idea I had, I wanted to get some input on it before I started a quest thread.

The one thing that struck me as odd about this RP is that no-one outside of Feral Labs seems to have come across the secret of the cross-species genetic manipulation. After all, if Moreau can discover it why not someone else?

So I thought what about a young genetics student under the risk of failing his degree and getting kicked out of the university. He's desperate not to have that happen, he has very little money and is only able to stay at the university through a scholarship. If he gets kicked out he'll be unable to support himself and wind up homeless with nowhere to go.

Desperate to save himself he begins to spend every second he can researching, poring over every bit of information he can find. One day after stumbling across a particular piece of text he manages to put together the basic theory from which the serums are devised.

Overecstatic about his discovery he brags about it online.

Somehow (perhaps spyware or something similar) the staff on the IoDM get wind of this and decide to abduct him in order to keep the secret safe.

They get caught off guard when the student, upon faced with the reality of what the plan to do to him, willing accepts it. Fascinated by the idea of mixing species DNA he wants nothing more than to experience the phenomenon first hand and he begins to treat himself as his own research subject.

Thanks for the tips. I doubt the student would have access to the animal I have in mind though. I'm kinda hoping for Sabre Toothed Tiger. Assuming that the DNA for said creature can be acquired.

Hehe, tree blossom girl would be interesting, she could be called Sakura (Since that means cherry blossom in Japanese anyway)

But if your going to try and narrow the list down you should work on the character first, and how their animal applies to them (Or how it's a cruel joke)
