We've had a bunch of japan exchange students in our school, and I've spoken to them.
I guess Japanese girls shave their arms, because its the 'cool' thing to do, and if you don't shave your arms, you're not popular.

Also, because they can't have peirced ears alot of japanese girls will put black stickers on their ears.

btw, I'm new to this guild smile Hello.

Has anyone heard of Hard gay or Gloomy Bear?

wisteria darling Most people dye their hair to look different. Most of the time it`s this ugly orange-brown, which I have no idea why they think it`s attractive. Sometimes you`ll see a totally bleached blond person, but most of the time it`s the orange-brown hair. One thing that`s really weird is that sometimes you`ll see grandmothers with BLUE or PURPLE hair! eek No one I`ve asked knows why they do it! whats wrong with orange-brown hair? it goes nice with many japanese peoples skin complection. i agree bleached blond is ugly, its not really in right now, at least when i was in japan last year.

Personally ,Pe Yon (aka: asian Harry Potter/ Korean Fabio) is hot (minus the glasses. He does look pretty geeky with them on.) I came across a few of his pictures without glasses and I have to say he definatly better looking with out them. Although i do find it funny that he and the other Korean soap stars are the reported cause behind a sudden interest in Korean language and history in Japan.
PS- Have any of you heard of the trend of collecting little miniature figures from those little 25 cents toy dispencers like they have in supermarkets?

Ya, I know them! Gashapon I think their called. But yeah, I'm a total sucker for Japanese trends. Right now, I'm REALLY interested in the gyaru scene, and have been para-para ing for 6-8 months. It really is too bad that para-para is just about dead though...

heart &hearts heart I really like Goth-Loli, Decora, and a lot of the other fashion styles.
I love Tamagotchi, I don't care if they're old news.
 Loose socks? Heck yes.
I need to buy some glue for mine, though. :/

I used to have a Tamagotchi, but I lost it somewhere. And about the old grandmas having blue or purple hair, in Poland you can see something similar. I think it has something to do with the dying of the hair. Something sometimes comes out wrong. Is it bleach? I'm not sure, but my friends grandmother once explained it to us how it happens. But I forgot.
Other than that I really don't know much about japanese trends.

I really really hate the eyelid surgery fad. These girls get plastic surgery on their eyes to give them a crease. Unfortunatly for them, it doesn't really do anything. >_< I have a friend there who had it done, and I think she's just as pretty without it done. They just want to be like us "Americans". Pffff.
I like purikura (my friends there send a bunch every few months), and I like the cell phone charms. The ones in harajuku and shibuya can be kinda strange, but they're so much fun. I remember Yayaka had a fistsized amount of them dangling all at once, it was so funny looking.

 God I miss it there.

Shadowy We've had a bunch of japan exchange students in our school, and I've spoken to them.

Ack... gonk . I don't even shave my legs. I'm always to lazy to shave, i don't see the point, and when I do I just end up cutting myself. I stopped for good when I found out my Turkish friend dosen't either. It's not an easy thing to leave hair on your legs here in the States but it is comforting when someone is the same.
