Walking along the base of the plateau, Jezebel finds a path way leading to the top. It’s a rugged path, no modern methods are seen in it’s making. Dirt, limbs, rocks, and debris are all naturally carved away making for steps towards the top.
“This path seems a bit rugged. Watch your steps, there’s jagged rocks along this path.” Jezebel said to her Vulpix. The two carefully climbed high up the path. Seeing occasional flocks of different flying types and a few rock types scattered along the cliff sides.
Upon reaching the top of the plateau, there’s a small Gazebo, handful of trees, some brush and tall grass. Peering out of the ledge she can see a great distance. From the lake she passed by some time ago, to the far reaches of the coastal biome. Looking out over the vast scenery; she can see much evidence of many different battles whether trainer or wild alike.
Walking around the Gazebo, she shuffled into the taller grass looking for the different herbs, planets, and foliage scattered around. While scavenging for ingredients she failed to notice she was alone on her plateau haven. Even her Vulpix was oblivious to the towering pokemon in the distance. What made it worse, the wild pokemon didnt even know the two were there as well.
While following a trail of herbs she was picking, Jezebel accidentally bumped into the pokemon scaring it, Cayenne, and herself. The pokemon [Kelavor] being startled let out a deafening roar. It jumped back from frieght; looking for what touched it. Noting seeing anything immediately, it went into a frenzy. Waves of air slicing at the tall grass. Mowing down a good proportion revealing Jezebel and her Vulpix.
Fear enveloped her. “I’ve never seen this pokemon before. What is it? How do I beat it?” Standing up to get a better look at it. “Those – knives.” She said with joy and excitement. “Oh I must have them, I must, must, must! Those are the perfect for chopping, perfect for slicing. You can’t beat such perfection.” Jezebel was caught up in her over excitement that such a perfect specimen she didnt realize it was coming in for a powerful attack.
High in the air, Kleavor readies it’s arms stretched out wide. Blades ready for a fatal blow; aiming directly for the discombobulated female. As Kleavor decends, getting closer and closer. Jezebel snaps to, only for her to be past the point of reaction. Lights in her eyes, grew cold, as the shadows of her opponent reaches out with deaths hand. As the Kleavor is seconds away from contact; and explosion catches it off guard. Flames, smoke, and forceful wind sends the Axe wielding pokemon flying towards the Gazebo, crashing into it with another explosion.
Jezebel looks over to see her shoulder to see a Crimson flame engulfed Vulpix standing there with glowing eyes, and mouth dripping with fiery drool. “CAYENNE! Thank you sweet heart. Looks like we have a very tough battle ahead. This pokemon wont be easy to take down, and I dont know it’s weakness, nor do I know what it will take. However, I do know you and what your capable of; Fight with your heart and spirit. Furthermore I’ll leave the battle decisions up to you. GO GET HIM!”
Vulpix stands guarded, attention focused on the Gazebo ruins. Wood and stone cracking, snapping, and popping. Smoldering pieces of rubble. Silence shrouds the battle field. Jezebel keeping quite for her Vulpix to observe, waiting, listening, and watching for any movement.
Moments felt like eons, a quick noise of a machine charging could be over heard. Jezebel wanted to shout out orders, but she could not. She remembers telling Cayenne this is her battle; and she’ll support her when needed.
Silence broke with a powerful humming sound of energy. “That’s a hyperbeam!” Looking toward her Vulpix, Cayenne didnt budge, looking the attack dead in the face. The beam of energy barreling destructively toward the fire pokemon. With in feet of making contact, Vulpix dodged leaving behind a Substitute doll in the wake of the beam.
Cayenne let out some embers and will-o-wisps like fireworks of cheer and yipps towards the Kleavor, trapping the pokemon in a trance like state locking it only into attack with hyperbeams. Jezebel looking upon her vulpix with pride. “That as so cleaver. Now it will have some room for attacks between it regain it’s energy!”
Vulpix started her attack run towards the Kleavor. Building speed and flames, Cayenne charges head on at her opponent. Kleavor lets out another Hyperbeam in Cayenne’s direction, the Vulpix waits for it to get closer, brushing off to the side inches away from the edge of the attack. Cayenne unleashes several embers shots at the ground around Kleavor. Jezebel is baffled by this. “Why hit the ground at it’s feet? What are you planning?” Kleavor fires another beam; this time directing it to follow Cayenne’s footing almost taken off guard she does a barrel roll and jumps over in the nick of time.
Kleavor lets out one final hyperbeam. Cayenne jumps prematurely, underestimating the direction of the beam. Gets hit with a direct shot, Kleavor collapses from the stress and exhaustion of the consecutive hyperbeams. Cayenne, struggles for a moment; but regains her footing. Harshly lowered but her mistake. “Cayenne, You’re doing great. Don’t let one accident stop you!” Spitting out flames and smoke, the Vulpix starts to refocus.
Kleavor threws out it’s arms and lays down a flurry of hits the nearby jagged rocks. It’s Axe like hands shine with a new hue. “It’s just used Swords dance. Cayenne Psyche up! Follow it’s dance!” Cayenne let out some firework embers copying Kleavors. Both of the pokemon’s attacks rose significancely. Kleavor took to the air with the help of a lunge, shortly after came crashing force of a smackdown. Cayenne quickly used protect defending itself. The force of impact was one that blew a crater into the surrounding area of the Vulpix.
Rocks, grass, debris, dirt, and dust all went flying into the air. Kleavor used this to it’s advantage, after lunging back into the air; it began another assault of large rocks and debris toward the fire type. Cayenne quickly used agility and double team to add speed to it’s own advantage. She started climbing from rock to rock with every step more flames poured from her mouth. Vulpix became a comet in her own right. Upon reaching the top Kleavor was waiting for her with a point blank Vacuum Wave. Vulpix does a defying move; unleashes pain split at the moment of impact. Both pokemon take a massive blow from the force of impact and falls to the ground.
Cayenne hits the ground with force, struggling to move Kleavor is also down for the moment. “This battle has gone on long enough!” She reaches into her bag for another great ball. “Let’s hope this works!”

After throwing the Great ball; waiting. It break free.
"HOW DOES AN UNCONCIOUS POKEMON BREAK OUT OF A POKEBALL?!" she screamed.
Jezebel pulls out her last chance. "Alright, Ultraball time." She throws the Ultra ball for one last chance. "Please let this catch."

Feeling defeated by her loss, she goes to tend to her injured pokemon. "My sweet angel. You fought so well; yet so much to learn about combos. Let's get back to the pokemon center and get you healed up."
Picking up her Vulpix; a repeat ball with a note saying. "I saw your battle. Here's one more chance to capture that pokemon. Should have a 70% chance. Good luck."
Jezebel looked at the note and at the Kleavor. "Worth a shot."
The pokeball shakes once. Than twice, and a 3rd time. Than chimes. "Jezebel walks over with Cayenne in her arms. "We- did it?" Jumps and shouts for joy!
"Cayenne. I'm gonna make you the best dinner you could ask for! You're such a fiery spice!"
The now three members make their way back to the surface for some much needed rest and refreshments

[Blueberry Academy Terarium - Polar Area]
"Remind m-me why I thought coming t-to this area w-was a good i-idea?" Thinking aloud, anyone nearby might've heard the inadvertent mental broadcast from Cera as she wandered around the Terarium and ended up in perhaps the coldest part of it. It took little time for the Mew to be freezing, wanting to just observe the biomes near an academy she knew little about. She looked at the Tera Shard she was keeping on herself, poking it as she took a breath. "You think you'd do something, too."
As she floated around, half seeing what might actually enjoy living here and half wishing to just sit near a bonfire, it never dawned on her that she had a way to deal with the cold that didn't involve complaining about it.

A cursory glance would reveal a Seadra swimming around in the biome's waters, as well as other aquatic sorts like Seel and the occasional, but somewhat rare Lapras. Cera's eyes narrowed a little at this sight. "...I knew they weren't as endangered. I think." She was also pretty sure her Lapras was better. Even when she was all fighty.

[Polar Area]
As Cera continued to find some nascent memory of heat, she'd lose track of where she was going until she managed to float her way right into a wall, squeaking in pain before falling backwards onto the ice. "Ow! Dunno if hitting the wall or the ice is worse, stupid fuzzy... wait, fuzzy?" She'd look up at the wall she apparently went into, with its fuzzy texture and blue stripes and arms and claws. A second thought crept in shortly after, screaming that what she hit wasn't a wall at all. The peskier third thought that followed was to run upon realizing the Pokemon looming over her, eyes wide as its arms stretched out.
"Wait, no, that's not a wall! Someone help-"
But her call for help would be absorbed, not by darkness, but by a weirdly joyous roar. The Mew braced herself for an attack, plucked from the ground in an instant. Maybe she could get Aura Sphere ready or transform or she could be crushed into a bear hug by a Crabominable that found her less a threat and more a friendly face that they couldn't help but give a friendly hug to.
A friendly, breathtaking, rib-crushingly hug for the ages. "Hi, y-you're... you're crushing me..." She'd weakly plead despite the generally happy response from her captor. With a ball on the icy ground, she'd push its button with what psychic force she could, forcing her Tyranitar out. "Kiri, little help!..."
The intimidating roar Kiri liked giving never came out, replaced with a confused look at the tail poking out from Crabominable's hold. She'd cautiously walk over and try to tug lightly on Cera's tail, but this provided nothing towards freeing her or making the giant snow crab let go. Unsure if she might be next, she'd then try to poke at one of the claws and point at the small pink mass that was surely going to be pink paste at this rate. Even then, they still didn't let go, confused at the notion entirely.
"Don't j-just... stand there, attack or something!" She pleaded, becoming less keen on being this crab's new plush buddy by the second. But Kiri didn't want to hurt her in the process, even as she quickly ran out of ideas. There were a few Safari Balls on the ground... maybe those would work? Moving back a step, she'd look at the Crabominable again and adjust her tail near one of the balls, trying to get a feel for the shot. A light roar and a shrug followed before she opted to just go for it, letting her tail serve as an impromptu golf club to send the ball over. It was a decent shot that went right to the middle of Crabominable's head, ensnaring them long enough to free Cera and let her escape.
"Thanks..." She remarked, catching her breath before going pale the next instant when she saw the wobbling ball. "Kiri? WHY DID YOU TRY TO CATCH THEM!?"
She'd notice the wobbling slowing down too, followed by a hint of existential dread that was totally lost on the Tyranitar next to her. "No. No no no no no no, don't click, don't click, don't you dare-"
Click. Crabominable was caught!
"...why?"
Still not quite seeing the problem here, Kiri tilted her head the little bit she could and gave a confused noise in response.
"No, no, you've done nothing wrong, but... why?"

The next Pokemon they came across was a small brown feline with a notable tuft of red fur on the top of it's head. Crystal blinked for a moment, then looked at each other, once again when they saw a female Pyroar popped out to find her child. Nope, nope, not dealing with fire, nope.

Crystal and Donne made it to the edge of the Biome, walking along a bit more calmly now as they made their way from the not so pleasant for them fire Pokémon. An interesting scene came into their view, with a Smeargle painting on a rock wall. Nodding, she'd motion for Donne to keep moving, leaving the painter to their art.

Crystal grumbled, looking at the Pokémon that came to a piece of food that had honey on it. Apparently, it wound up not attracting the right Pokémon, with another Litleo deciding to investigate it. She had brought out the beit while they were walking, and decided to try to see if adding honey onto it would help. It hadn't this time, but they were going to try again. Juuust a little further away from this fire cat.

Monique stepped down from the entrance into the Terarium. Instantly, familiar muscles, familiar reactions emerged in her brain, looking up and processing the sight of a massive, "sunlit" dome deep under the Unovan sea.
This is so weird...
Monique hadn't been in a place like this since leaving the Dome behind. It was smaller, it looked different, and it did not contain a settlement, but it was a dome all the same. "Was this a model for..." she trailed off out loud as she walked with ʻOi, her Rockruff. If Kalama were here, she'd probably have the same reaction, but Rockruff was one of the many Pokémon who came from this reality and probably wouldn't care.
She rode her Honchkrow from the meeting point at the entrance across to the other side, the Polar Biome. It was frigid here, enough that Monique was glad to have fur, something she did not have the last time she'd been under a dome. It was probably more comfortable than some of the hotter climes at this point.
Scarcely had she stepped out of the waiting area when a Pokémon crossed her path...

Monique's jaw dropped. A Sandshrew? And not the Kanto variety? I didn't think I was going to Alola... she thought.
She'd planned to bypass this Pokémon, but ʻOi aggressively nuzzled. She was feeling feisty. The Rockruff grabbed a small icy rock and hurled it at Sandshrew, caught a bit unaware by the move. It spotted the perpetrator of the Rock Throw and glared back, clinging to the ground in an attempt to minimize the visibility of its underbelly. It curled into a ball as much as an Alolan Sandshrew could, its Defense rising as it used Defense Curl.
"Howl!" Monique called, seeing that boosted Defense would otherwise be a problem for her young Pokémon with only physical attacks. ʻOi howled, hoping to psych herself up and boost her Attack before using Rock Tomb the next turn by. The Sandshrew responded by using Powder Snow, an Arctic blast reaching the Rockruff and causing neutral damage.
Not having been frozen, the Rockruff used Rock Tomb at Monique's urging. ʻOi hurled more ice-covered rocks at the Mouse Pokémon, inflicting damage and impeding its movement. "Ruff ruff ruff!" she added, barking happily at its handiwork. This seemed to faze the Sandshrew, which used Rollout—about the only time it curled up into a complete sphere—but missed to the left, hitting a boulder past them and landing on its cream-colored back.
"Go! Go!" Monique saw an opening, and Rockruff went to play fetch with the Pokémon ball. ʻOi jumped on the dazed Sandshrew and used Bite, finding far less resistance beneath than on the steely plates of its hide. "Shreeeew..." the foe called out before surrendering.
"Nice work!" Monique called out to the Rockruff, who nuzzled back with her rough rocky neck. "That's starting to hurt..."

With the Rockruff defeated, Monique walked further into the biome. She noticed the various blocks scattered about, the only indication that these environments had been created. They looked out of place but evidently served as landmarks and, judging by one student sitting on one and taking notes on his laptop, furniture.
Suddenly, a Pokémon approached her from the left side...

After the Ultra Ball had clicked shut with Snubbull contained within, Clare looked down at M&M. "You need more training. And an outlet for your bullying, clearly." They admonished he Normal-type.
"Tan tande!" "Mau mau maus!"
M&M fussed, defending themselves against Clare's accusations. They weren't bullying. They were helping! Clare had asked for their assistance in finding and capturing a Snubbull so that was exactly what they'd done.
"I know. You were trying to help me. But you should have gotten my attention and let me decide if we were going to battle it instead of picking a fight on your own." Clare retorted, crossing their arms, broken left arm tucked just under the undamaged right one.
M&M crossed their own arms and the three glared at one another, the mice feeling like they had the advantage here purely based on numbers. There were two of them and they agreed with each other so Clare was clearly wrong. Right?
ll three found themselves jumping a moment later when the sound of something moving through th snow nearby suddenly caught their attention.

Monique didn't recognize this one. Cyndaquil. Fire. The Fire Mouse Pokémon. It usually stays hunched over. If it is angry or surprised, it shoots flames out of its back, her Pokédex informed her. Later, she'd learn it was a starter Pokémon in the Johto region. Here, it was just a random Fire-type in a sea of ice, an easy target for a Rockruff.
ʻOi, who was gung-ho to battle, apparently agreed and made the decision for her by growling back. Cyndaquil, a bit enraged, cried out, the flames on its back stoking in response, and used Ember, shooting out a ball of flame at the Rockruff. She was unfazed by the not very effective Fire-type move, shaking her head.
"That's it! Now try Rock Tomb!" Rockruff summoned three rocks and hurled them at the Fire-type, landing squarely on the Pokémon's fiery back. It winced at the direct and super-effective attack. "Quil..." It was now much slower to move, perhaps due to its timidity, but to Monique's surprise, it was still able to muster an attack, a simple Tackle. Perhaps it can't fight very well right now...
Encouraged, Monique called for the final blow. "Rock Throw!" ʻOi took one of the rocks left behind, picked it up with her front paws, and hurled it at the Cyndaquil, whose remaining flames decreased in intensity to nearly extinguishing.
"Now to see if I can capture this..." Monique pulled out one of the three Safari Balls that she had been given and hurled it at the fainted Cyndaquil.
