Csuri wondered vaguely what was going on in the Ravenclaw's head. Probably thinking through many years worth of rumors, however true, about Csuri. They'd been going around forever, since apparently her unwillingness to discuss her past made for a breeding ground of guesses. Her current favorite was that she lived in a cave until eleven and she was half bear. At least it was better than the truth. "Yea, I guess," was her reply to Alice's question about doing something she enjoyed. She worked on plating up both the dishes, using restaurant quality moves to make the plates look fancy. She carried them over to the table, then used wandless to summon a couple mugs and the tea kettle.

Carefully moving, she also grabbed a small plate of naan bread she'd made the day before. Sending a tired sort of look over at the younger teen, Csuri gestured toward one of the chairs as she sat in the other. She worked on pouring two mugs of vanilla chai tea. "Sit. Eat." The Ravenclaw said that she loved cooking, particularly for crowds... then she offered to cook for Csuri. "No thanks. I'm pretty busy with exams this year." She didn't know if it was just something Alice said out of want to repay for this meal... or any other number of potential emotions. But, as with everyone, Csuri kept her walls built tall around herself.

As she got the table set up, Csuri watched the blonde putting her cookies in to bake. That was one of Csuri's shortcomings in the kitchen. She was not much of a baker. Thankfully, her favorite snack could be enjoyed without. When alice said she didn't have to make her a plate, but that she'd eat because she'd likely miss dinner, Csuri's eyes rolled. "Figured. That's why I made you some." She grabbed the warm naan bread and used it to scoop up some of her curry. Nice and spicy, just as she liked it.

When she tried to deflect meals (and more spending time with someone) by using studying, Alice noted that it could cause distractions preventing eating. Dammit, she wasn't wrong. Thankfully, she said she'd just send food, meaning likely she'd ask Hes or one of the other Slytherins... which would in turn make them annoyed with Csuri, since the Ravenclaw was one of those so-called "good kids". It was annoying. "You really don't have to. I usually cook enough for a few meals." There, that should put the argument to bed... right?

Grey eyes watched the younger girl try the curry, then they rolled when she clearly thought it was overly hot. "I used less pepper in yours, but I guess next time I make it, I'll leave you a serving with none." She shrugged, wishing she had someone else that could actually enjoy spicy food. Csuri gestured toward the chai tea, which should help some of the heat, then pushed the plate of naan toward the other girl. Maybe a bit of balance would help. Or she could use the rice... or she could not be a wimp. Whichever.

Hes had chuckled at Csuri's surprise when she had said that Kasamir could wait to prepare food for her. They often had little date meals in the student kitchen, or he brought her food when they were at club or studying or working on homework or... well you get the point. After changing into regular clothes and applying a new dose of deodorant and perfume, she headed out of the dorm, weaved through the common room, and met Csuri outside. They talked, mostly about food, as they walked up to the student kitchens. When asked if she could handle spicy foods, she confirmed that she could indeed handle spicy food, despite the fact that her family didn't really eat anything spicy. She told Csuri about tyrokafteri, which was probably the only spicy Greek food. It was basically a spicy feta cheese dip that you ate with pita. When they entered the kitchen, Ella darted out before Hes could even say hi, but that tracked with the girl's reputation. Hesperia dropped into a chair and watched as Csuri used a spell to secure the door, then smirked when Csuri said she couldn't tell anyone about Csuri's ability to cook. And of course Alice somehow figured it out. "Don't worry, I won't pester you to cook with you. I'm... a disaster in the kitchen. Last time I even tried, I almost burned down my grandma's kitchen." She chuckled as she did every time she told the story about her grandmother calling her a beautiful disaster in the kitchen. "It's not that I don't know how to cook, but somehow... well, I guess you could say I have Seb's luck, but only when it comes to cooking." Seb was such a sweet boy, but he was chronically unlucky and everyone knew it.

Hesperia giggled a little when Csuri said she'd banish her from the kitchen before she could burn anything down, then said she could get better with discipline. "That seems highly unlikely in my case. I just... my yia-yia tried to teach me how to cook and she's a fantastic chef and then Alice tried to teach me first year and... well, I didn't burn the castle down, but it was close." She chuckled again, then shrugged. At home her grandmother cooked all their meals and whenever she was at work, Hes lived off salads and microwave meals. So it wasn't like she was going hungry during breaks... and it was incredibly hard to burn a salad. "So, what are you making? It already smells incredible, but my nose is much stronger than others..." Except Seb's... she thought to herself. She'd figured out Sebastian's secret pretty quickly when she noticed his scent had changed... and he'd found out hers because of how her scent was different from everyone else's. That had been a fun conversation. Hesperia got up from the chair and walked over to watch Csuri work on her cooking.

When Csuri said she could teach Hes how to cook, the teen playfully rolled her eyes at her friend. She vividly remembered when Alice said the very same thing, then Hesperia has started a little fire trying to saute some vegetables. Thankfully Alice was quick with her spells and had the fire out in a moment, so nothing got damaged, other than Hesperia's pride. But if Csuri wanted to experience a fire, Hesperia could definitely humor her. She'd see how fast Hes could burn down a building. Csuri continued by explaining what it was that she was making, a curry dish with chicken. Hesperia hadn't ever had curry, but she had some experience with spicy foods when her parents decided to try Hispanic foods. Hes had discovered a love of spicy enchiladas with chicken and beef. She'd also experimented with Thai food and spicy sushi. So she was confident she could handle some spicy curry. She said she usually put garlic into her meals, but for Hesperia's sake, she was substituting shallots instead. "I appreciate that. I don't really know how much garlic affects me, but frankly, I'm not really looking to find out." She chuckled, and once again when Csuri said she'd made the recipe for Alice as well, reducing the spiciness level for her. But apparently it had still been too spicy for the blonde. "Smells pretty good to me," she said with a smile, excited not only to try curry, but also her best friend's cooking.

This had turned out very, very differently from her expectations of the day. Everything from her skipping class to them now... dating to whatever degree, was super unlike her in general. Vikram... got up to a lot more mischief than she ever did, but here she was in the hot seat. After asking if Vikram was hungry, his entire body seemed to growl. Jeez, alright. Csuri lifted an eyebrow when he explained that he'd spent all day in bed following sleeping by the black lake. "You're an idiot, you know that? There's still so much snow out there." But... then again.... She sighed, shaking her head a bit. "I slept on the table, lied to Healer Kavanagh about feeling better, then proceeded to fly into a violent rage before crashing out in here all day." Her shoulders shrugged, but if he thought she was insane and ran now, she'd know he was a weenie and lord it over him forever.

She rubbed her temples, sighing. Now that it was out there that she could cook (though technically he didn't know to what degree...), she was into it fully. "Come on, you big idiot. Let’s go to the student kitchen. I’ll make you something to make sure you don’t get sick after spending all night in the snow like a moron.” She clambered down off the table, reaching out a hand for his. It was weird, holding hands. Hopefully he wouldn't always expect affection.

Csuri sighed as she led him out of the room. They walked with linked hands until others were ahead of them. At that time, she pulled her hand away, crossing her arms over her chest as her face fell back in its normal mask of anger and apathy. It was a bit of a walk, but eventually they made it to the student kitchen. Ella had been in there, carefully measuring... something, but upon seeing Csuri, the girl scurried off. At least Csuri wasn't that bad with human interaction. Or her hair just looked that horrifying... one of the two. Once both were inside, she closed the doors, wedging them shut with a chair to prevent others from accessing the room. “How spicy can you handle food?” The blonde questioned as she opened the pantry to start grabbing supplies.

The very second that Vikram questioned her choices with locking the door, Csuri sent him over a silvered glare. "Because the student kitchens are open to all. Therefore, the wards already around them are a d**k. I may be better at magic than you, but I'm not better than the dudes who built the damn place." She'd tried - more than once - to secure the doors before learning that little fact. It made sense, and yet, she disliked it. Therefore, she just jammed the doors. It worked well enough at warding people away. Hopefully Ella wouldn't go tell Alice. That girl would absolutely kick the doors in, Shining style. That did give her a little snort of a laugh.

Csuri glanced over at Vik when he laughed at her asking preferences. He added that he was Indian, therefore able to handle the heat. He even noted they often had phall curry at home. “Noted.” She said, grabbing some ingredients. “Noted... and a little self-serving.” She added with a smirk. Once all the ingredients had been gathered, Csuri set to work. Despite not having super-duper hot peppers in the school kitchen, she’d gathered up plenty of spice. Her motions were fluid, effortless, as she prepared their meal. When it was all done, she plated it with as much precision and perfection as her potions usually contained. Both plates were carried to one of the little tables in the kitchen. “Get off your arse and get some drinks.” She said, returning to gather some utensils. They were set upon evenly folded napkins, all at perfect precision angles. Once she was confident everything was neat, Csuri sat in one of the chairs, waiting for Vik to join in and try the food.
