having hit one of his favorite moves, Drako feels content that he'd done a fair amount of damage to put Nuke down, so he quickly goes right into the pin attempt

The ref drops for the count, ready to end this match after two big moves!
One!
Two!
T-
Nuke kicks out, raising his arm as the ref calls out to the timekeep. The crowd let out a massive cheer, the veteran holding his own in this return match.

Drako didn't exactly hide his disbelief there. He's won matches before with that moonsault, and that should have been three. A point the champion makes to the referee, who assures him it was only two.
"Damn it!"
It's not often Drako shows his frustration in a match. Time to pull out something different, something Nuke wouldn't expect. Perhaps he should take a page out of his brother's book. With that, the Soaring Dragon stands and attempts to pull Nuke up in position to lift and plant him with a sitout version of the Jacknife Powerbomb

Whether it was pure veteran instinct or luck, something inside Nuke kicked in after that. As Drako goes to lift him with the powerbomb, Nuke lifts his neck up with all of his might, attempting to flip the Soaring Dragon over!

Drako was hoping to finally put Nuke down for the count, but apparently he hadn't done enough as Nuke back body drops is way out of the powerbomb. Drako hits the mat hard but slowly makes his way to his feet again

The crowd cheered the reversal, and had hoped for a quick momentum shift. But those last two moves beforehand had taken the wind out of the Nuclear God, as he took a second to regain his composure.

relatively speaking, Drako is the fresher man here. Now on his feet, he turns and finds Nuke up and trying to regain his own composure, and swings a right hand for the side of his head

The right hand connects as the crowd let out a cheap jeer, not something that Drako would have been used to, but after the eye rake it made sense.
Nuke staggered back a step and shook his head, turning to face Drako again.

The champion is undeterred here, quickly going for a knife edged chop to the chest just to vary his offense

The knife edge chop connects with a sickening 'crack' across Nuke's chest, as it lights up red almost instantly. The shock from the pain causes him to crank his neck to the side, right before he aims a chop straight back to Drako!

caught with a chop in retaliation, Drako's chest isn't as bright of a red, you know, because skin color, but it does redden slightly. Not to be out done, he fires back, aiming a second hard chop

The crowd cheers as Nuke's chop connects, but is quickly followed by a second from Drako, as they 'booo' in response.
Nuke takes the blow and stifles a noise, before firing back with a low leg kick to the side of Drako's knee.

there's always something that throws you off your game when you've been swinging high and the opponent switches to low. the kick staggers the champion and throws him off his game as he attempts to remain standing when his knee really wants to buckle

Nuke looks to keep the momentum on his side for a momentum, aiming for a second kick to the same knee. If successful he will try to get behind Drako for a chop block to the back of the knee!

Drako is caught with a second kick and tries to get some distance as he can feel that leg buckling. But Nuke isn't new to this game and a chopblock takes the champion off his feet. Drako attempts to pull himself towards the ropes, realizing the danger he'd allowed himself to be in
