Eternal Sailor Adamantine

Regan didn't come powered, though she probably should have. Since Striker broke from her watch, the eternal didn't feel confident in her leadership skills.

She had heard that there was more going on. A seat was taken near her general, but she didn't immediately seek out anyone.

It was hard to be here without Silk, one of the few that she could openly talk too.

Ashley Williams // Captain Reinerite

Ashley had been quick to answer the summons requesting her presence at the East Wing's conference room and whilst she wasn't the first to arrive she was amongst the first there.

She recognised Emilia from having worked previous missions with the blonde, her lips tilted upwards in a small but brief smile before fading away to be replaced by a more cool expression, her grey eyes serious as she took her own seat ready to listen–

Because it was clear - at least to her - that the summons wasn't a social thing.

Cerissé Belcourt / Captain Tantalite

They'd been summoned, and Cerissé wasted no time in making herself presentable and present. Nodding acknowledgment to those who were already there she took a seat neither familiarly close to the General who was leading the mission, nor so far away to look like she was shying away from him.

Clearly all of the groundwork was leading up to something now.

Guardian Theodore

He had arrived before his mistress because he'd wanted to sneak snacks from the breakfast bar and she was still finishing up her make up. With a doughnut in his mouth, he trotted across the room until he found Regan.

He considered her for a moment before his furry butt wagged and he sprung up and forced his way into her lap. The doughnut was dropped when he headbutted her arm, demanding pets.

Lt Tetrahedrite

Gansükh, the powered down Tetrahedrite, had a pretty good idea of what sort of information was going to be imparted, but all the same, he turned up with a decidedly neutral face, and chose a seat at random. He made no particular effort to talk with anyone here--this was not the time or place for such a thing, he reasoned--and simply waited.

Gisela Louise was morbidly relieved that they had all been called together. The summons had a distinct note of panic about it, though that may have just been the fact that Gisela was hearing more and more reports of abject failure and very few of success.

It made her feel like less of a failure herself. This was clearly bigger than the General had anticipated.

"Looks like all of us are in trouble," Gisela murmured from Gan's side as she slid up next to him, soundless as usual. "Any word on December?"

He waited for people to get settled, whiskey eyes shifting over each and every face that arrived and took a seat before he took in the pockets of empty chairs.

Chase had expected causalities not captives and hostages when agents went missing.

The alarming number of them that had gone missing without their mission mate's notice was worse. Of course he expected everyone to handle themselves when alone but...

His hands folded behind his back, shoulders straightening once the conference room doors were shut.

"For those that have been keeping up on the reports," he started, his voice loud enough to carry through the room without yelling, "you'd be privy to the notion that agents have been going missing." It was different than those in Witzend going missing, they should have been more inconspicuous about this.

"So far," he paused, deciding to go with civilian names instead of powered, "London, December, Sheldon, and Mackenzie have been abducted."

His jaw ticked.

"There have been heavy sightings among the areas under development. A cat was spotted at least once." He paused to let things settled before continuing. "We have managed to capture one of their forces, he's proven to be rather...aggressive. Information gleaned has been minimal, likely infactual, at best."

Velma

Velma kept to the back, hands pulling at her scarf. People had gone missing. Missing. Four agents all abducted. At least one cat sighting, the aggressive and now youma guarded Striker.

He'd said they had eyes among the Negaverse in Witzend.

The young woman pursed her lips, hands picking more aggressively at her scarf. Something about this set her nerves on edge.

Suri Ellis

Against the back wall of the conference room, Suri paced. She'd been filing the reports as they came in, tracking sightings, filling in maps, trying to compile a database of the known quantities in Witzend so they could be eradicated one by one, like a checklist. It made things simple, to make names and faces nothing more than items to be crossed off so the next task could be completed, and offered a resource greater than the sum of its parts, but the trouble started the first time the word captured came across her desk.

Chains. Aches. Hunger, thirst. Pain. Pain. Questions, silence. Hope, reality.

Suri did not dwell on the senshi they kept in hiding--that was Labyrinthite's project, not hers to comment on. But she could not help the unbidden images that came to mind when she read the names of officers--their own officers--in the hands of those who would kill. Greater still was the threat that their entire operation could be compromised by a single weak lieutenant, someone talkative who felt compelled to share. What would become of all of the agents present, if suddenly their civilian identities were known to foreign senshi? In a digital age, it was foolish to assume that any leaked information would stay in a discreet location. Their containment mission could stretch from weeks to months. Years. They could be facing a complete and total civilian loss of identity.

Needles. IVs. Splints. Chains. Face down in a dark room. It was so hard to think when she couldn't banish the ghosts in her mind. What to do, what to do.

Suri chose not to sit when Chase addressed the room, rubbing at a spot on her wrist while she continued to pace. London. December. Sheldon. Mackenzie. Some were names and faces, others strangers, but all would be kin in mind if they survived. Chains, darkness, hunger. She wondered if Chase had called a meeting when she had gone missing, so long ago.

She chewed on the inside of her cheek, fighting desperately against the fog brought in by fear. Her eyes swept over those in attendance, taking note of missing faces bodies. Her lieutenant remained, at least, though he'd been present during an abduction himself. "We need coordinated patrols. No one travels alone. One mauvian would struggle to suppress all of those auras, if they're powered and in the same location. Unless they have additional tech, we should be able to find them with a thorough sweep."

Suri struggled to keep her voice even, her gaze steady and calm. What she wanted to do was pour herself into Zircon and show the city of Witzend what a mistake their senshi menace had made. What she did was pace, practiced breathing until it came easy. The senshi wanted an emotional response; she refused to entertain their expectations. But she'd never mounted a rescue before, only participated in her own extrication. No plan survived contact with the enemy, no matter how carefully crafted--her theory would only take her so far.

"What do you suggest, sir?"

Trey Cameron

Trey had filed in quietly with the others, no phone in hand this time, and taken a seat near Regan. Quiet, his face smooth, he had kept his eyes on the conference table, legs crossed and one hand ever so lightly tapping the pads of his long fingers against it's surface.

He had gone on a mission, but the senshi they had found had gotten away. It galled him. They'd been so close... if they'd had just a few more minutes... But the guards had come and they'd had to flee. The captain had filed the report, so he had dodged having to explain the failure to his general. He was still avoiding that, grateful that Chase had his hands too full of running this whole operation to address it.

His fingers twitched and stilled as the names came out. December... The lieutenant was too soft for this sort of work. Trey worried what they were doing to him now. How badly were they hurting him? He was hot and cold by turns.

If I get my hands on one of them... He didn't know what he promised himself, but with the way he felt, perhaps he could go through with it.

The restless sweep of a body behind him caught his attention and he pulled his eyes off the table to see Suri pacing around the edges of the room. Restless and anxious... more than he could remember seeing her before. It was another concern. He reached out as she passed, touched his fingers lightly to her elbow as he searched her expression.

Iliel

Where Suri paced, Iliel stood statuesque. She waited thoughtfully out of range of her general's pacing, or she thought she did — whether Suri altered course for her presence was an answer that escaped her — and she waited there for Chase's news. She was glad that he delivered news to them at all. Of her time spent in the Negaverse, she recalled precisely zero large-scale meetings in which information was disseminated to other officers. Even if they were their plainclothes and talked about each other in code, she preferred it. Vastly.

Suri spoke first. She sounded cool, calm, authoritative. Chase gave information and she followed up with orders, as if of one mind. She wanted a team like that, but it wouldn't be her and Topher and Mack and Sheldon. Not with half of them gone and the other half just… Vanished.

Held hostage or tortured or dead.

But she had words for this arrangement. The one in the basement, the hostage, the one being interrogated for information — she'd read studies. Sidetracked into clickholes when looking up how to be persuasive. The anecdotes, the lack of results, they still sat fresh in her mind like some new piece of excitement to share with the class. But this wasn't a class, it wasn't a competition, it was people's lives.

And if they were dead or captured, then she could only look better by helping them turn this operation around. Iliel sidestepped closer to Suri, enough that her asides wouldn't show over the greater audience. "Would it be useful if we gave him some misinformation and let him go free?"

Regan moved over just slightly to accommodate the candy king guardian, her hand gently moving over his fur. She hadn't been feeling well, but she hadn't been severely injured or kidnapped.

The talk about Striker made her sink down further into her chair and she looked over to Trey.

Lastly, her gaze flicked to Suri.

She waited for Laby to issue the orders, her hand never froze on petting the guardian, using him as a makeshift comfort when she missed Silk. She didn't think Theodore would let her fully hug him though, he was Prissy's guardian after all.

Shannon Mccord//Lieutenant Strengite

Shannon was tired, she was annoyed and sleepy, and she wanted to go home... but when the orders to assemble once more into the conference room came she went. She was later then she was the first time, but at least she had slipped into the room before they closed the doors. The curvy woman hung back for once, not really wanting to be spotted since she was still smarting from the rather poor showing on her part to gather any information from their captive.

She remained silent through Chase's comments only looking down when he mentioned their failed interrogation attempt. Shannon didn't care much about the four who went missing since it wasn't like she was one of the captured. She was more annoyed with the lack of information they had dug up. She even kept quiet when others started to talk about how the others were hiding their presence, it was over her head and she didn't really care how they did it. Shannon was only there to gather information, not really there to fight.

But when someone suggested they let Striker go Shannon couldn't help but respond, "The hell we should! It wasn't easy catching that little rat in the first place and now you want to let him go? Just like that!?" Silver eyes took in the other woman, derision written all over her face. "If we have to use him for something then live bait would be the best option. That way we have the possibility of catching more of them... but," she trailed off as her mind worked over what the other officer had said. "You do have a bit of a point. We could always feed him false info if he wiggles free of the hook. Maybe put some kind of tracker on him in case."

Her mind spun through so many ideas before she asked their leader, "Sir do we have a micro tracker thing like they have in movies?"

Shannon doesn't like the idea of just letting Striker go... but Iliel doesn't have a half bad idea XD

Suri Ellis

Suri continued to pace, her brow furrowed in thought, but then something brushed her, something touched her elbow, something chains hands reaching something something something touching

She slapped Trey's hand away before she registered it was a hand, eyes wide and breathing shallow. The shaking in her hands said fight, break, kill, and the sudden breakneck pace in her chest said power up, teleport, but she fought all of those urges until the image of chains in a dark room faded. For a moment, she glared at Trey with a raw intensity he couldn't possibly be privy to, and then she tore her gaze away, closing her eyes to focus on her breathing. Trey didn't know , couldn't possibly know the way she'd been held captive, the reason she was so broken. It wasn't his fault.

When she felt sturdy enough, she began to pace again.

"The senshi is worth more to us here than free, even with misinformation," she shook her head, folding her hands behind her back so they wouldn't encourage any more sentimental pats. Suri considered another woman's position with a narrow-eyed expression, then looked down. Not quite, not yet. Given enough time and resources, Suri was certain she could crack the code on starseed resonance values, find new ways to track and identify beyond the glamour. But Witzend came too soon, far too soon, for her to have any significant impact with regards to technological advancements. In response, she merely shook her head.

She hated feeling helpless, and so once again she turned her head towards their leader, silent in anticipation of his plan.
