Darling panicked as Delicate stood now motionless before her. She dropped the tissue she had offered the other pony in shock. There was no way she could use it now. Darling looked as though she was about to cry.

Now more ponies were being accused of being changelings. It seemed there was now a way to see if they were really changelings though or not. But they still had to choose someone to use that magic on. Darling bit her lip. She wished she had stayed home. This was all too much.

She paced back and forth a bit, unsure what her next move should be. Finally she sighed in defeat, and decided it would be best to go back to her cart. As she moved along, she noticed someone who looked familiar out of the corner of her eye. She thought his name was Navy. She had sold him chocolates before and they had discussed his fish...yes fish. She remembered that much. She thought she might go over and say hello. After all, it was better than being alone.

As she neared him, she said shakily "H-hello...."

Navy Passion blinked as Darling came over, recognizing her from the previous years he attended. She did sell him some chocolates some years ago and they did have a brief talk about his fish. He tilted his head at her curiously.

"Darling, are you okay?" he asked "you look like you just saw a ghost" he told her before moving a bit closer to her but still close enough to his family, just in case they had a plan of action.
Darling looked like she could use a support system. It didn't look like she was handling the aspect of changelings among them all too well. "I'm sure it will be over soon, if not I will try to protect you as much as I can" he told her.

Oh good, Navy remembered her! She gave a small sigh of relief. That made her happy. She smiled as he said those comforting words. “Thanks,” she replied. “I’m glad I finally found someone I can rely on. I’m just so jittery with all that’s happened. I wish we knew more about what’s going on. I wonder why the changelings chose now to show themselves? And what do they have planned?” she wondered.

She watched another blue pony nearby that was speaking with Navy. She guessed she had maybe interrupted their conversation. “Sorry if I am interrupting,” she offered an apology to Piper. “I just didn’t want to be by myself….” she trailed off as it appeared the other pony was now leaving to look for others. Darling watched as Piper dashed off.

"I hope everything will be okay...."

"......" Shadowed narrowed her eyes as Piper decided to give a refresher to Navy Passion over their names, but if she was harboring any thoughts more than that she politely kept them to herself for the moment. Everypony was stressed and there was a new mare with Navy, so...she wisely kept her mouth shut. An affectionate smile was offered over to her cousin and his guest, seeing as this stressful situation (which had only been added upon by the sudden shocking of Bullseye), and the mare lowered her head down.

Her next words were soft, just barely above a whisper, mostly spoken to the ground and the scattered remains of broken butterflies. "Keep an eye on Piper and her friend." If anyone actually heard her, well, that was on them to wonder what she meant. Was it familial concern? A warning? "Look out for Royal." Shadowed showed no signs of further elaboration, as she continued to work on cleaning up glass shards and bits of broken hairpins.

Cherry helped their Sister and Teal to move Deli to their fruit cart. They were proud of how strong their little sister was giving an affectionate nuzzle as she leaned into whisper in his ear. They listened carefully moving his gaze to where she had indicated. They didn't recognize the pony at first, but a second glance helped them remember their colors as they rushed to Deli's side. They nodded to Mango "We will have to keep an watchful eye on them." Their attention turned back to Deli for the moment and they sagged a bit. In their mind she didn't deserve this. "Hey, Teal, Why did this happen?" They looked at Teal Tale for an answer.




Fixed a format error

Royal kept his larger body close to Glitch's as he nuzzled the small male a few more times. "I don't know. I just know that I usually keep a eye on everyone for Just Lance during the festivals. This...this is going to require a raise." he let out a sigh. "Don't tell my sisters. If they learned I worked for Just Lance, they might freak out." he rose his head to look around at everyone. He was looking for any sign of a change. Or at least a tell tale tick that they weren't their usual selves. He returned his full attention to his friend then blinked as his little sister trotted over.

"Ah, Piper...Have you been keeping an eye on Morning Glory?" he asked his sister before answering her. "Glitch will be fine. He just needs one-on-one at the moment." Royal looked around for Momo. Concern seeping into his mind. "Piper. I need you to help me keep Momo with the family. Please. Your the only one I can trust with this..."

Mango nodded to Cherry, before wilting slightly at the sight of them when they looked to Deli. For a brief moment, Mango felt a surge of energy in her, compelling her to wrap a leg around Cherry's shoulder reassuringly. Normally, Cherry or Teal, or one of her other numerous 'friends' (she never understood why they thought of her as a friend, she was nothing!) would stand up for her and console her. But seeing Cherry like this... She couldn't help herself.

"Shadowed Flower is an interesting pony..." Mango murmurred to her sibling and friend as she glanced towards the lavender haired pony. "But... I don't think she could be one. I don't know..." Mango shook her head and removed her leg from around Cherry's shoulders, before her ears twitched at Teal's request. Nodding, she ducked into the bottom of the cart to pull out a blanket, sheepishly handing it over. "I get cold and frightened easy, this is my security blanket," she said in a small voice, offering a small smile.

Cherry began to have doubts, too, about their friend Royal. Mango's eyes flitted towards the blue pony on the other side of the area, examining them beneath her bangs. Her hair always gave her the ability to feel safe from prying eyes, while also being incredibly observant as she peeked between the fine hairs here and there, only offering small slivers of eye to be seen. "I don't think Royal is either, Cherry," she hummed, a bit more certain. "But we won't know for sure..."

Her eyes turned towards the red pony the guard had pointed out, keeping a careful eye on them.

Cherry watched as his sister handed Teal her special blanket. They listened to the words and hummed a bit as their mind kept spinning on how the Cobalts could have protected a changeling, and why a voice would say it directly at them. "Speaking to Just Lance would be able help calm everyone." Their words trailed off.. "Perhaps we could ask Just Lance to do the same spell he did to you, Teal, on Royal to at least check him." Cherry hated feeling like they didn't know their own best friend, maybe this would relieve the tension they were feeling in the air.
