When the beginning leaves come in, they're heart shaped. And depending on
the individual tree, those early leaves are either a deep, beautiful maroon, or
a pale green.

These flowers are EVERYWHERE! They grow on short stalks with about 2-4
flowers per stalk and the blooms are about an inch across.

Darker than I'd like, but they are a pretty maroonish color. It was getting
late on my walk home, the sun was about to dip below the horizon.

There was a bit more contrast in this image compared to real life. The oranges
are a bit fainter and and the leaves are less blue. But I really liked how the
colors came together in this one.
