Helen Hall
HP: 6 Damage done: 10 + 7
Her knuckles ached, but it was a good kind of hurt, a satisfying one, and finally getting a good ******** hit on one of the rat bastards felt amazing.
"Naw," she winced as Harley used her other shoe to take out another rat's eye. "I mean it reminds me of that ballet, The Nutcracker?" She supposed it was a little like old times as well though. Just, maybe not as many literal rats.
Another was coming in from the side and he got his sword up and swung before Helen could protect herself. The blade caught her in the stomach, slicing through the thick bodice of the dress and into the skin below, but superficially. A lot of blood but not a lot of damage. She hissed, as turned to bury her fist in the side of his face.

The chaos might have passed on for minutes or hours, but in the darkness, a screech pierced the air. The King of the Vermin army cried out as he was struck by a few mighty blows. It was impossible to tell who got the final blow, but in the moonlight there were four that stood around him: Evren, Helen, Ashley, and Gigi.
The shadows twisted around him violently and a strange gust of wind billows through the room. Suddenly, the shadows leap from the room as if alive and working of their own accord; they carry him out the door, returning light to the room and slamming the great door closed behind it.
There is no following the King, or his strange shadows, and the ballroom--while chaotic--seems to be in fairly good condition despite the sudden battle that just took place.
There is a slow but steady applause, and suddenly cheers. Once more, you are the heroes of this story.
You see the queen's smiling face, and she seems at peace as she collects herself, but it's hard to keep your eyes open. You are so used to the darkness that even a few seconds of the light makes it feel too bright, it burns...
You have no choice but to close your eyes.
When you open them again, you are back home, safe and warm. There is no cheering, no applause, no food or light. Only you, where you fell asleep no so very long ago. The fairy statue you were given is out of place, glistening but lifeless. Nothing seems out of place and physically you feel and appear as if you have just been asleep for a while. Gazing at the clock, it’s only a bit past midnight.
What a dream!
What a...dream?
Quote: Thank you all for playing! There was a tie for third highest roller in one of our events so we have awarded a prize to both players who tied! If you were one of the highest rollers, you have been quoted here with information about your prize!Jason, Evren, Helen, Ashley, and Gigi all woke up with a little extra something sitting by their fairy sculpture. There's no real telling where it came from, but when you look at it you are reminded of the dream you had... The top winners have the option of receiving any of the Limited Event RP Items (which can be found listed in the Holiday Raffle Prize List) or an exclusive item that can only be won from winning in this event:Fairy's Call - A little music box that plays a tune you remember hearing during the ball and a small army of soldiers appear. They are ghostly and will swarm any target for the duration of the tune (which plays for approximately three minutes). These soldiers are solid and 'feel' like they can do real damage, but as the tune fades, so do the soldiers and any damage they might have incurred. Good for a distraction/quick getaway. The target only needs to hear the tune begin; the user can run away with the music box so they can keep it as a memento. It will play the same song but it is nothing more than a music box now. This item can be used while powered! If you are in a time of need, it will summon itself to you and will disappear as soon as the song ends! Your character will naturally receive the Fairy's Call Music Box from winning in this event; if you want to swap it for another item, please PM the mule and let us know! Everyone who participated and wrote more than 500 words prior to this point in time is eligible to claim one Henshin Pen growth item! If you did not write 500 words before this point, you cannot claim the Henshin Pen. (Make sure to post in the RP Growth Item thread when you claim yours!) You may continue to RP here to reach word count for RP requirements or Raffle Ticket requirements, but there will be no more prompts and no more prizes awarded for participation in this thread. You may keep the fairies as mementos; from this point forward, they will appear only as pretty sculptures and owners will not notice anything strange about them.

The sudden, painfully bright light as Rats and shadows vanished was simply too much. Closing her eyes for some relief, it seemed like the cheering and applause grew faint. Maybe that queen was getting ready to talk? It'd be rude to stand there with closed eyes...
Opening her eyes, Daisy nearly fell off of her couch in shock. She was home and unharmed, pajamas intact. Blinking groggily, she felt as if she'd simply had a good sleep. And judging by the serious bedhead in her reflection against the window, she'd been sleeping hard. A quick check on her phone revealed that it was only a little past midnight.
Flopping back against the pillows, Daisy wondered if she'd eaten and drank something off to give her such a vivid dream. Eyes falling on the fairy statue, she felt there was something... different. And not just that it seemed out of place. Yawning hugely, she rolled back up into her blanket. Whatever. She'd figure it out in the morning.
Still, that had been a wildass dream. It had to have been a dream.
