She had, without a shadow of a doubt, absolutely no idea as to what on Earth she was doing.
Fingers reluctantly tapped on keys, Queenie making a wincing expression every time she pushed one. All of the gross, nerdy germs and sweat that was probably covering the very same keyboard she was using had her horrified as to what her hands would look like afterwards.
Still, her character pushed forward and managed to smack something hard enough that it fell to its knees.
Eh... it was a start, right?

Pressing onward, she managed not to get her character too wounded as she smacked and shielded her way through the enemy lines. Some sort of tower-thingy fell and the little ugly grunts that followed her seemed to be falling at the wayside.
Well, they were at least doing their job (kinda) and sacrificing themselves for her... right? So there wasn't much love lost for the ugly little things at the end. More of them came up afterwards anyways so it wasn't as if they were really considered important, main characters like Murmillo, right?
Shrugging her shoulders, Queenie, bored as ever, made her character run forward into the fray.

Frowning, she leaned forward as dozens of enemy minions started to swarm her and her underlings. This was dumb - why were there so many of them? And why were they beating up on her and not her little peons???

She was getting highly irritated at the thought of losing so easily to a bunch of non-player characters when her fellow teammate showed up to heal her. It didn't get her health bar all the way back up to full (cheap little healer) but it did enough to get her back up and standing, pushing onward.
Ugh - it was about time.

Her other teammates were chattering on and on in the bottom of the screen but Queenie ignored it, having no desire to touch any more of the keys than were absolutely necessary. Part of her wondered if Ms. Ellis or her handsome boss were playing the game alongside her at the same time.
No... No because if Ms. Ellis had been the healer, she'd have healed her all of the way instead of half-assing it like this other healer did.
Pressing forward, she smirked as they finally reached the last set of towers.
This game was finally going to end soon!

She was doing so well until she was not.
In the end, being the most handsome character didn't save her from failing, but Queenie was pretty sure that it was the other players' faults for being weak and dumb when it came to the game.
Ah well.
Rising from her chair, she made sure to thoroughly wipe her hands on the bottom of her skirt with the mental note to soon make a beeline for the nearest available bathroom to utilize their soap and water. First, however, she glanced around in hopes of finding Ms. Ellis... or if she was lucky, Mr. Black, to see how they fared with the game.

It wasn't too difficult to navigate the floor and the game corner was easy to spot, which Rory was grateful for. At some point Reven had come out of her bag completely and was now being carried in the girl's arms as she made it to the table and signed herself up.
They were shown to a booth with a computer in which she sat down and took a moment to read the big poster with instructions.
Her grip was loosened on the kitten, whom she assumed understood these sorts of things better than her.
"You know, I'm just gonna sit here and watch you, okay?"

She had taken the time to distract one of her beaus after his horrible loss and when she was finished, she made sure to kiss him hard enough enough that green was left on his lips.
"I gotta go back to working babe, but stick around kay?" She told him, fingers ruffling his hair when she stepped back. "We can play soon as I get through some more nerds that have won."
She lingered for a moment then blew him a kiss before disappearing back towards the game station.

Minutes dragged on like hours as she watched new faces enter the gaming section and take their places behind the computer screens. Some came out looking triumphant but most exited looking downtrodden or indifferent.
Win some, lose some, eh. It was just a game, right? A very dull game, at least in the opinion of this particular thirty-five year old.
Fingers strummed along the surface of the table as she watched on with boredom. Her other hand was holding up her head as she leaned into her palm, blue eyes scanning the area for any signs of life that didn't deal with the new fighting game.
Upon seeing the green haired game-mistress return to their assigned area (why in the world had she left in the first place? Did that mean Jules could also leave?), she straightened up in her seat while a plan began to calculate itself in her head. In no time at all, she was rising from the table and making her way down the small platform, creating a beeline path towards Miss Bright - at least, Jules was pretty sure that was her name.
Keeping her face as cheerful as possible, one hand pointed in the direction of the exit.
"If it's alright with you, I'm going to take my leave for a while. I've got my cell phone if you need me - I just need to get a bit of fresh air, see the sights, that sort of thing."
In other words: anything but continue watching these kids play video games.

Cass's lipstick was a little faded, smudged from disappearing to play with her boyfriend and she was messing with it when she was approached. She looked amused as the older woman looked to her for permission and she would have laughed if she didn't think it would leave the lady cross.
"Getting a little bored of nerd-fest?" She asked, her grin knowing before she glanced over at the screens. "Yeah, yeah, just don't stay away too long."
Cass licked her lips, offering the woman a wink before she slid right on past Jules and returned to the table to collect the tablet she'd left behind.
A few minutes of sliding through winning participants, she'd arranged an announcement call for Ciaran and...Accalia.
"Would the players ChasinWaterfalls and Accalia please return to the game corner?"
She'd sent them text through the company's tablet too.

There was a minor relief at hearing the head of the gaming station call the little affair a nerd-fest, giving Jules a feeling of camaraderie in this strange world of video games and technology. There were a decent number of girls at the event but none of the others seemed to share Jules's opinion, as far as her lack of interest went so it was refreshing to finally find one among the crowd that did. The wink, however, threw the older woman off but the lime green vixen was already making her way back into the fray, no doubt to submerge herself among the gamers once again.
What an interesting job... but not one that Jules particularly was jealous of.
Still perplexed by the wink, she mulled to herself as she stepped aside, taking her leave of her tasked area.

Ciaran had set herself up on the wall, watching other contestants come and go in the game. She was surprised to see as many disappointed faces, rather then victory and wondered just what sort of game this was to others.
She smiled at the ping, making her way back over to the green haired woman and waving her hand. "I forgot to leave my number for you." Cee winked and looked at the other girl who had won with them.
Since she wasn't sure what else to do, she pocketed her phone. "ChasinWaterfalls."

Once both of the players she'd called arrived she flashed them grins. Her gaze lingered on Ciaran a little longer and she let her gaze sweep across the woman's form slowly, the check out obvious and shameless.
"I'll make sure to give you mine after this," she practically purred before she glanced at the other girl.
"You two made it past the first wave and now will be going up against each other in a 1v1 PVP. Mechanic are largely the same, but they'll go over them when you start this special round of play." Arnold came around to help usher the girls into booths again.

Accalia looked over at Ciaran and gave a small smile as she joined them over in the game corner. "That's a neat name, I wasn't as creative, obviously." Giving a light laugh she turned her attention to Cassadega as she spoke. "This should be fun then, goodluck!" She said towards the other player and followed Cass to the booth and got herself ready.
