Urosangylea post 5 Uro smiled sadly. "I am not a fighter, either. I suppose it is not truly my place to voice whether or not we should fight with them." Brow rising, she turned to take Elia's hand. "This does not make us useless though! A war is not simply about the fight itself. There is much that goes behind it." At least, that was what she had been told... No reason to not believe it, right? "I am sure that if they do accept our help, there will be ways for us to offer our services as well to help the fight. Every task is important, no matter how menial it may seem. Every small task keeps the larger group running."

Eira Post 7 Lifting a hand to ruffle Ergon's hair, "Come now, Darling. You don't want to mar that cute face of yours with such a harsh look." She said in a teasing tone of voice before she looked forward toward where the others were, then around at the mention of her friend. It seemed as though Ergon was starting to get fed up with everything and likely wanted to be on his way. She couldn't really blame him for that one, it was a lot to take in. Not to mention the harsh words that seemed to come from all sides. It was enough to make anyone a bit queasy, but then again what war wasn't like that? She had no desire or plans to sign up for another war, she'd had enough of that. She did mean to figure out what was going on though as well as offer hospitality to any that needed a place to rest after all of this. She scanned the various faces in the crowd then said, "Ah, ha! I can see him from here, he's likely doing a bit of business from the looks of him. I don't want to bother him but if you need to go I understand, sweetheart."

Elia ll 5
She wasn't ready for the brazen, open contact and wasn't really welcome to it, either. To be casually touching a stranger...What sort of girl was this? Did they do things like this often in Tale? Elia tensed, her sense of propriety battling with her...reluctant acceptance of this contact. Perhaps she just needed the comfort? She hadn't seen any other Taleans that looked like her so it was possible this girl was here on her own. So, Elia supposed she could suffer through it, just this once.
"That is true. I'm sure my parents will work hard to fund the Zenan warriors, and I can help with that. Maybe we could ask the leaders, after all of this is over, what sort of skills they'll need from those of us who can't fight? That way we can be better prepared."

Hargitt ll 5
"That is why we're having...this," Hargitt made a vague wave across the crowd. "To gather information. I'm not saying we need to leave for Jauhar today, just that if the time were to come..." Hargitt wasn't about to tell Jakkoa that this meeting was going better than it was; even he could see it was in shambles. Their collective leaders had no more information than a roatl farmer, which left their statements horribly empty. What sort of passion were they hoping to inspire with this? A sense of reluctant duty? It's certainly what Hargitt felt; as if it were a necessity, not the 'righteous cause' they were trying to sell.
"Consider it. That's all I ask." The time for fighting was still so far away from them that Hargitt felt confident enough to make those statements. Maybe once thing had calmed they could have another discussion about it, and figure out where they stood. Though..he highly doubted anything would change. Jakkoa vehemently was against going to Jauhar, Hargitt wanted to go and...well, that was the sum of it.
"…to keep you standing, I would fight, for the right cause."
Hargitt hadn't realized until that moment that their hands were still connected. He took that time to squeeze Jakkoa's, his posture softening just a touch. The other had barely budged from his position, but it was something.

 || Sauti IC ||
All of the leaders knew that it was finally time to begin the vote. Despite some hesitation it appeared as if they were all in agreement that something must be done to help the Alkidikes. Enki was thankful that Freya had spoken up as her words had managed to sway quite a few of those from Zena who had previously spoken against fighting.
"Alright then." Enki nodded towards those standing around him and took a step forward, "Let's get this over with and put it to a vote."
As Enki opened his mouth to make the announcement he found a hand reaching out to touch his shoulder, "Wait." Vescillea gave him a small smile before she stepped in front of him, "I need to say one last thing before we decide on this." That stated the Sautian woman turned to the crowds, "I know everyone is eager to vote but I wanted to voice my own opinion first. We were reminded today of what the Alkidikes have done for us and what benefits we could have from helping them, yes? But I despite all of that I also can't forget what they did in Sauti nor can I trust them." She paused and took a breath before continuing, "Still I personally have travelled through many of our countries and have picked up a few stories and anything that concerned the Dretch had horrible endings. These are creatures who live to destroy. They take lives in brutal ways and are even rumored to have magic that allows them to rip a soul from ones body. With such darkness do you really think they'll be content with just the Alkidikes? Surely not! If we let the Alkidikes fall to the Dretch then they will come for us next and everything and everyone in their path will suffer. They'll use their power to rip the world we know apart." She shook her head, her pale gaze shimmering with unshed tears, "So I beg you all to consider these consequences when you vote. Despite all of our differences and all that we've lost in the past we must come together to save our world from these vile creatures. Forgiveness for the past may be impossible for some but we must come to an understanding for our survival." Silence hung heavily over the crowd as Vescillea moved backwards and pushed Enki forward, "Your turn."
Enki smiled, a sincere gesture of gratitude, and moved to address the crowd once more. "Now that we all understand the dangers that we face what say you? Let's vote to save our countries!" To fight or not to fight. Was there even a question about what they should do at this point? Still Enki waited alongside the other representatives as the crowd made their decision.

Jakkoa | 6“Mmm…” Jakkoa’s gaze flit out over the crowd as Hargitt gestured. They were unhappy, confused, but— just if the time were to come…consider it—he breathed out. “I have been and am considering it,” he murmured. “And my answer is that I will fight if we are given information…or if we are given no other option. Not yet, but if it comes to it…” High ideals were what they were, but Jakkoa simply did not believe in risking everything just for that—not when it didn’t need to be risked, not when there were better options. And at the moment, there certainly seemed to be. Their leaders simply had nothing yet to provide but pep talk, and it was a disappointment. But he would not shy away from a fight if it was what need be done. The only reason he had left home was for family. His purpose here, so far as he saw it, was to find his sister’s cure and become a better healer in the process. He wasn’t yet what he needed to be, but he had improved since they had set out, and he could still shoot a moving target if he had to by cruder means. “I am not afraid to fight,” he said at length. “And I will when we must if we must, but I am not convinced now is that time.” As Hargitt’s fingers squeezed his, however, Jakkoa felt an unspoken tension ease from his shoulders. He wasn’t actually sure if he could keep himself from following if Hargitt insisted on chasing demons. The man had become such a staple of his company and it was a struggle to imagine leaving the man to fight on his own. But he hoped it would at least wait until they had some clear reason. Noble intentions were nothing if there were not the facts or circumstance to back them up, and diving blindly into suicide could not possibly be the most beneficial to anyone, in Jak’s opinion.

Lixes Post 6
Lixes looked around before he turned to looked back at his brother and Jerami, then ahead again. There wasn't even a doubt in his mind what needed to be done. He knew how dangerous those things were, he'd seen with his own two eyes the scars left behind from their attacks on his father's skin. Teeth gritting slightly he called out, "There is no choice other then to help the Alkidike! The Dretch tried twice in the past to kill my father and he's an Earthling. Once they are done with the Alkidike they will turn their attention to us. Not helping is just closing our eyes and pretending not to see what's coming!" He knew that for a fact.
Turning to Jerami and Drexl and he said, "We need to help. I'm sure our parents won't be terribly happy but we can't just sit by and do nothing." This had to be it! He'd always been certain that he was born to be a hero but everyone said otherwise, that he was born to late and missed all the great wars. This was the battle that he was meant to fight in, the Dretch were the enemy he was meant to face off against. It only made sense! Especially given that his Earthling father had fought them in the past on two occasions. He would be picking up where his father left off!

Drexl Post 5 Drexl nodded then chuckled at his brother. "Yes for once..." he watched his sibling before keeping Jerami close as he nudged Lixes forward more. He wanted to hear what the others had to say. He looked around at the other earthlings in the crowd. Looking back to the elders, he let Jerami go. Nudging him towards Lixes. "I'll support the Alkidikes---" he then looked at his brother and slowly put his head in a hand. Yep, he knew his brother was going to speak up that was for sure.

Jerami Post 6
Jerami looked back and forth between the two brothers as they declared their intentions, one a bit louder then the other, before giving a bit of a sigh. Those back home, both his own family and that of the brothers, they likely weren't going to be thrilled but surely they would understand. They couldn't just do nothing, right? They had to help so that the Dretch didn't take over or something far worse.
Lifting a hand he said, "I-I want t-to help as well." It was more then a little scary to offer help but he felt that he should. He had magical capabilities, if nothing else he could help to heal those that might be wounded in the future. He'd take any job that was assigned to him come time to actually do something.

Ergon post 7 His upright stature shrank a little at the ruffling of his hair, ducking his head to bashfully smooth it back into place. "My face is fine," he muttered, taking a slow breath. She was quite forward, that was certain... "It... is alright. If your friend is still occupied, I have no need to hurry off." He was a better escort than that! Looking back at the stage, his brow pinched sharply. They were really voting on this? "It seems that they have had their chance to take over. They took a little of everyone and then chose what they wanted most. I won't be trudging across Tendaji for the sake of some crazy bug women." No... He wanted nothing to do with this war. "If the war should spread, I will protect my home and that of my neighbors. So long as the Dretch have decided that we are not what they want..." He knew his opinion would not be a popular one, but he wouldn't say it if he didn't truly feel it. He would fight if he had to, but only if he had to.

Urosangylea post 6 Oblivious to the discomfort she was causing, or, more accurately, ignoring it for the sake of comfort, Uro gave Elia a bright smile. "I would be glad to go with you to see what we might do to help." Looking up at those around her, Uro felt a brief hesitation. A war... Looking to Elia again, she smiled and raised their joined hands to vote as well. "We want to help however we will be able to!" she announced proudly.

Eira Post 8 Giving a little laugh she said, "Oh dear, Ergon! You're quite confident, hm? I agree though, your face is quite fine." She gave him a little wink along with her words, having a lot of fun with him. He had to be one of her favorite escorts that she'd picked up like this. Of course all of the others in the past were her favorites as well she thought to herself. Turning her face forward toward those in charge. She listened in to what they were saying, then looked over at Ergon, then forward again to those in charge. It seemed as though opinions were split but she could see both sides. At the same time she had no desire to see her troupe go to war again. She'd seen enough fighting her time and her brother was still scarred by having to patch up the wounded, it just wasn't for her. She wished those going all the luck though. "If anyone needs rest I can offer discounted rooms in my inn but those I lead will not be going to war!" She called out, not wanting to leave people without some help from her but it wouldn't be anything battle related. She had to think of her friends, her family, her son, and her inn. She couldn't let anything put them at risk, even if it didn't please those in charge. She was in charge of her group and it was up to her to keep them safe no matter how people might look at her after her declaration.

Ergon post 8 Wait-what?! Cheeks burning, Ergon cleared his throat and tried to think of something cool to say. ...He was a business man though, not a socialite. Being playful a proper manner was low on his list of skills. Well, flirty at all... well, with anyone other than his special lady... "Thank.. you.." he murmured. The next surprise was hearing Eira agree with what his choice had been, in her own way. Good to see others had some sense. "Where is this inn of yours, Miss Eira?"

Lixes Post 7 Lixes gave a bit of a grin as he stepped back to stand back in his original position that had the two brothers flanking the more delicate Jerami. Once he was there he turned to look over at his brother, "This is going to be great! It's finally my, well our, chance to be a hero!" He didn't want for Drexl to be left out, not when they had the same blood in their veins, the blood of heroes! Looking forward again he found himself asking, "I wonder if we will need to head out soon or if we will have time to let our families know what is going on first." Giving a shrug he suggested, "Well, if we don't have time to return we will have to send a message to them via a courier. I don't want them to think that we just disapeared or something, not when we are just trying to help." Though he was sure that at the very least their Earthling father knew exactly where they were. There was so little that the man didn't know, especially when it came to his sons.

Jerami Post 7
Wrapping his arms around Drexl's arm he hugged it tight, giving a sighing sound, "Phew... that was a bit exhausting." He wasn't really one that made a ton of noise or tried to gathered a ton of attention onto himself at once. Still, at least in the one moment he wanted to be heard. Now that it was over though he was ready to sit down. At least he was until Lixes mentioned if they would have time to go home or not. Wait? They might not have time to go back home before the battle they had signed up for? Oops.
His aqua eyes went a bit wide before he said, "I... I hope we have time. I don't want to go into a battle without at least leaving a... yeah! Yeah, a note. We definitely have to do that if we can't make it home."
