Lunia Alexandria Yatomura "I'll make you all proud of me one day.."
- - - -
Lunia was in a daze as she poured what she thought was the drink into her glass and was about to pour Jazz's when a familiar voice said her name. She jumped on the spot in fright, and listened to what the voice had to say before looking at the sign, he was absolutely right, how could she have possibly thought that salad dressing looked anything like punch.
Lunia was about to make a joke, embarrassed to see who had seen her blunder, she turned and was both mortified and shocked to see who had witnessed it. "Master Aurtrox!!?" she said, placing her hands over her mouth gasping louder than she ever had before. "Of all people, I can't believe it was the headmaster that witnessed me doing that! I'm already such a failure in his eyes, how could I possibly get out of this one?" she yelled to her inner self.
Sheepishly grinning at him, she scratched her head."I guess my mind was somewhere else, you may have just saved me from going off salad dressing for the rest of my life! I'm sorry you were witness to such an idiotic move.." she said, before he asked her what was on her mind. Sighing heavily, she took a deep breath to calm herself down and looked into the sky for a moment, taking in her thoughts.
"After you spend your whole life being confined to the same routine in and out, I suppose I have to admit I have mixed feelings about all of this. It's all so exciting, but after your incredible speech I don't want to let anyone down, especially my family" she said, laughing to try and lighten the situation. "I'm sorry for just saying all that to you Master Aurtrox. Thank you for asking, oh and for, you know, warning me about the drink." she added, as she placed her cup down and moved it away from her.
"You have such an incredible memory, I remember my father always telling me that, I wonder if you remember me, my sister Mia training here... Keaton, I must ask you about Keaton.." her thoughts taking her away again as she smiled towards her headteacher, who she had met throughout the years at family events, meetings and of course his sister, and her old friend, Lunestra.

Feeling my way through the darkness Guided by a beating heart I can't tell where the journey will end But I know where to start They tell me I'm too young to understand They say I'm caught up in a dream Well life will pass me by if I don't open up my eyes Well that's fine by me
Level 0 Support First Year Deer Faunus
Donnelly Erlking
Donelly quirked a raven eyebrow at the girl offering his hand at him, as if the gesture was foreign to him. Wasn't often someone besides his sister or foster father showed him any kindness... In fact, outside Beacon, Faunus-Human tensions were still kind of high, so it was even more unexpected to receive a kind gesture from a Human, too. Shrugging, he took her hand, letting the girl pull him to his full five foot two height.
Now standing, he could see the girl in front of him was two inches taller than him. Not that he minded. Height was height. Being short let him hide easier and squeeze into tighter places. The girl was also rather slender in frame, but he could tell she wasn't as frail as she looked. His curiously red eyes bore into her, rapidly flicking over her frame, observing and analyzing her. Her movements were controlled and graceful. Like many in this school, she would make a skilled Huntress.
Rather than saying anything, the taciturn deer Faunus merely gave her a nod of acknowledgement in way of thanks, his expression unchanging and hard to read with his cloak covering his mouth. What could be gleaned from his half-lidded eyes was a stoic disinterest, possibly even boredom or depression.
After letting go of Ridley's hand, the Faunus boy looked to his arms and realized he wasn't holding his book. He began glancing to and fro, studying the floor for where it might have gotten to, though not looking all that panicked about it.
I tried carrying the weight of the world But I only have two hands Hope I get the chance to travel the world But I don't have any plans Wish that I could stay forever this young Not afraid to close my eyes Life's a game made for everyone And love is the prize
Hands, put your empty hands in mine And scars, show me all the scars you hide And hey, if your wings are broken Please take mine so yours can open too 'Cause I'm gonna stand by you
Level 0 Support First Year Sheep Faunus
Lavender Erlking
The four-foot-eight sheep Faunus had to crane (ha!) her neck a bit to make proper eye contact with the swan Faunus. At five-foot-six, Lunestra had almost a foot on her in height. But then again, just about everyone was taller than Lavender. She'd yet to meet anyone her height or shorter. If anything, she was jealous of Lunestra's height, even if it was statistically average. Average was better than needing step stools in the kitchen.
She supposed she also couldn't help but admire the girl's looks, as well. The epitome of beauty, class, and grace, she truly resembled a swan, and her wings were just breathtaking. So much prettier than her ugly horns...
The tiny sheep Faunus managed a small smile up at the heiress, her hands clasped demurely at her waist. "Oh... That's good," she said, letting out a small sigh of relief.
Good job, Lavender! You were conversating! Keep it going and you just might beat your personal best!
But what to talk about next? What does a little sheep talk about to a beautiful swan? "Um... S-So are you enjoying the after party? The opening ceremony was nice... I wish the headmaster hadn't been so blunt about us dying, but he, uh... he certainly has bravado, I guess."
For now, Lavender didn't realize that she was, in fact, talking to the Headmaster's sister. She hadn't learned Lunestra's name yet and when Aurtrox mentioned her, he didn't exactly hint at what she looked like. Yeah, the little sheep probably should've made a guess considering they were both the same animal of Faunus and even had the same part, but Lavender and her brother were twins and different animals, so animal basis didn't always mean relation among Faunus.
Location: Gym Company: Lunestra Mood: Cautiously optimistic Thinking: "I think I might actually be doing well!" Wearing:Upscale Casual
Even if we're breaking down, we can find a way to break through Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you Love, you're not alone, 'cause I'm gonna stand by you Even if we can't find heaven, I'm gonna stand by you Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you Love, you're not alone, 'cause I'm gonna stand by you
𝓣he background noise luckily didn't return. Lunestra was entirely fixated, even if slightly to the side, on the Sheep Faunus that was before her, trying to make light conversation. Perhaps this was how most conversations began? Perhaps they were always this awkward and somewhat tense? Lunestra wasn't sure -- she never started conversations. Many always thought that she thought herself too good to speak to 'ordinary' people, but others failed to realize that Lunestra only had one thing over 'ordinary' people, or at least most of them -- she just had wings. Everything else about Lunestra was typical, and nothing stellar.
𝓢he wasn't a post model, or anything.
𝓐t first the conversation reached a stalemate, and Lunestra wasn't completely interested in continuing it. Either way, Lavender proceeded, but this didn't bother Lunestra. At least someone was making the effort, even if it made them a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps the heiress should take a page out of Lavender's book, and go for it after all -- the only way Lunestra could get over striking up a dialogue with another is by just doing it. Easier said than done, however, and this mental thought made Lunestra's mood sag. It was what it was.
"𝓘ndeed, he's always like that when he speaks about serious matters," Is all that she offered as a response, slightly betraying who she was due to how familiar she poke of the headmaster. "Don't worry, though -- it's something we all know anyway. The most you can do is keep training, and you won't die as soon." This was close to Lunestra's heart when it came down to it all. Her entire life was comprised of training. With those words, she even seemed to emulate Aurtrox's own bravado about it all. Needless to say, Lunestra was a major realist -- she didn't sugar coat life, although she wasn't austere about it.
She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Her golden eyes peered at him through thick lashes as he seemed to just stare at her hand for several moments. He was hard to read, but it almost seemed like he was surprised that she would offer him a hand. That confused Ridley at first, but she supposed it shouldn't have. Faunaus and human relations were still rather tense outside of Beacon. Granted, since Headmaster Autrox was appointed his position, they had grown much better. Still, even that didn't erase the entirety of the racism or the scars that it had marked the Faunaus people with. Physical or emotional. The dark haired girl had learned long ago to judge a person based on what was in their heart rather than any animalistic traits that may or may not mark their body. She kept her hand outreached, patiently waiting for him to take it. After a few moments, by which point most of their onlookers had grown bored, he shrugged and placed his hand in hers. Ridley curled her fingers around is, pulling him to his feet. Once she was sure he was stable, she let that hand fall back to her side once she was sure he was stable on his feet again.
Crimson eyes bore into her, tracing over her frame and movements with an intensity she wasn't quite sure how to respond to. She wasn't necessarily uncomfortable, just not use to such a silent and burning gaze. Especially not upon first meeting. He was just a tad bit shorter than her, deep skin with freckle-like marks scattered across the bridge of his nose and cheekbones. He was quiet and stoic, and a bit hard to read. Once he was finished analyzing her, he remained silent but gave her a nod of acknowledgement before he seemed to remember that he was missing something. That very same something Ridely had already retrieved for him. "Looking for this?" She asked, holding the book out to him. "I didn't want it to get stepped on or something." Being an avid reader herself, she knew just how precious books could be. They were a bit of an escape route for her. A place to run when life became too much to handle.
Once he had taken the book from her, she dropped that hand back to her side as well. Her golden gaze continued to watch him. He still hadn't said anything, that same look of bored disinterest on his face. However, Ridely wasn't about to give up that easily. She reached up, brushing a stray strand of chestnut hair out of her face, watching him a moment longer before speaking."Well, you're a quiet one, now aren't you?" It wasn't a judgement, more so just her speaking her observations out loud to fill the silence between them. "I'm Ridley Delmhorst... and you are?" She questioned, figuring that was as good a place as any to start off. "I uh... Thanks to a certain someone..." She started, eyebrows furrowing together in slight annoyance at the mention of her uncle causing her to be late. She let out a huff of hair, shaking her head lightly before continuing. "I was late for the ceremony. Did I miss anything exciting?" She asked, raising an arched brow at the Faunus-boy.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.

Chikara watched as the students intermingled and made new friends, Talking about there dreams and goals *Pathetic, A majority of them look useless...* Chikara thought with his scarf covering his deep frown at the look of the students. The plans wouldn't work if he had weak members "Things will have to change....." Chikra said aloud moving the scarf to eat more honey roasted peanuts,Chikara looked to what looked like a student walking up to him "Well hello Jazz, Yes I am Chikara." Chikaa said with a smile as he took a hold of the extended hand "It's a pleasure to meet you too Jazz, Are you ready for classes? Looking forward to the use of dust?" Chikara asked using his free hand to eat more o his favorite snack

Aurtrox let out a friendly laugh when the little turnip realized who he was. It wasn't the most common reaction he got, but it was one of the more enjoyable ones. He quickly grabbed her two fresh cups and poured them half way full of one punch, mixed in a pinch of some spice next to the salads, and finally poured a bit of tea into it all. "Trust me. We all do things without thinking about it. Just yesterday I placed my robe next to the fire place, and the whole thing nearly caught fire! How clumsy of me right? My mind was clearly thinking of other things. Just like you seem to be doing. . Aurtrox made that story up of course. He'd never do such a clumsy thing, but he was an unusual man. He had to pretend to be normal every now and then to relate to others. His deception could not be seen as he was as adept a liar as a sociopath. His smile did genuine convey his wanting to relate to the poor girl though. " Here. This is a special treat called Darçın Juice that I have been fond of ever since I first traveled to Vacuo. It is made with simple ingredients, and is sweet, but not sweet at the same time. You'll see."He leaned in as she spoke about her feelings. He tried to understand them, to comprehend what she was saying but he lacked that ability it seemed. Emotions were not his forté. Though he had met her family so when she mentioned that he hopped right on it."Miss Lunia... at times we feel proud, and successful, and then there are also times where we also feel destroyed and ashamed."His eyes narrowed. His steely gaze piercing like a double edged spear. His aura seemed to buzz with a powerful energy as he spoke."You have not yet felt either of these. All the pride and shame you have felt up to this moment is but a pitiful splinter of these emotions in their raw form, and someday you will feel the power these emotions hold. You will feel both shame from failure, and pride from success, but neither of these moments shall define you. Neither shall bind you."He placed a warm hand on her shoulder like a father would."What will define you will be how you choose to be coming out of those moments! Will you seclude yourself in shame? Or will you stand up, and take a step further! Will you look down on others in your moment of pride? Or will you reach a hand out to help those less fortunate?!"His aura seemed to lower in power until it dissipated. His eyes turned round, and his teeth could be seen in a gentle smile."It isn't a matter of whether or not you will let someone down. Trust me. You will. Its a matter of how you choose to come out of it that matters most. And how you react then, is based on who you are now. So train dear Lunia. Train so in that moment you aren't caught pondering what to do next, so you know the decision to be made before it is to be made! "He Took his hand off her shoulder and knelt to one knee. Surely some would look at them oddly. He reached in his robe and produced an item. A necklace of sorts. It was made of jade and was in the shape of a medallion. If one looked close they could see the carving of a swan-like bird with a gun and a halberd forming an X behind it."This was a necklace that I have kept for some time in my chambers. It was an award I guess. It was meant to go to the best leader of all teams within a grade. I was going to give it to your brother, but... Well, you know."He lifted it up as if to give it to her, but then tucked it back in his robe abruptly."It isn't for you to have. Not yet at least. I have saved it for you. Miss Yatomura, but I will not give it freely. Keaton wouldn't approve of that. Not one bit. I will only give it to you when I see your brother."He pointed a finger to her chest."In you..."With that he gave her a small bow and left the room. Of course he merely went to get a breath of fresh air before returning sneakily back into the room.
Aurtrox found himself strolling through the pews of chairs until he spotted a blond haired girl sitting in a chair. Xandria was her name. He walked over. Stared at her for a long moment without saying a word. Then sat beside her. He looked over at her in an obviously bored fashion, but still did not say a word. He then produced a small flask of sorts and offered it to her covertly."I think you need this" He whispered.

Charlotte exhaled as she sauntered into the gym. Her ‘armoured’ tail swaying behind her as she did with the twin stingers on the end of it pointing into the air to not accidentally stab or knick anyone. Her hips saunting from side to side with each step, of course this swang the tail in a gentle arc behind her body. Her Mini shorts there standard black along with her mini top. Her short blue hair only interrupted on her head by a pair of black headphones sticking through it. Two small ‘fake’ tails coming from the back of her top with two sharp daggers seemingly at there points. Her soft red orange colour eyes drifted around the gymnasium as she stopped causing her flat black shoes to click a little on the wooden floor. Her stockings rather mismatched todays. One up one down by her ankles as it seems she had either been in a rush. Or was forgetful and forgot it was not pulled up yet.
As her eyes scanned the gym she did note that she seemed to have missed the main ‘entrance’ and purpose of the meet. So she softly cursed to herself. ”And of course i'm late… i am always late.. She spoke in a lot quieter voice after that ‘Or whose turn is it to pick on me for my mutated tails’ Her eyes instantly dropped to the floor even more so as she caught the sight of ‘normal’ humans. Her body instinctively tensed up. Her tail becoming taut in the muscles and even twitches a little. Her right fist tensing up ever so slightly though she didn't initiate any fight. especially on the ‘first’ day..

Jess watched Headmaster as he spoke with Lunia. She thought Lunia might feel like a rollercoaster with everything that was happening. She did find the gifting of the necklace to be odd. She moved closer and gave Lunia a nod. "You Okay Lunia? And hello Headmaster Aurtrox." Giving him a slight bow before moving beside Lunia. "Need help? She smiled under her mask a bit?

Onyxia chuckled a little. "Student, both my sister and I. Crowds I’m sorta fifty fifty, depends on the people I guess." She looked over to Shui-Lin, giving the girl a quick look over. "I think I’m the same age as some of the staff here but it’s a career change so it’s back to being student. Atlas everyone would have ran a few miles by now.” She knew the full armor was a give away to being Military, or at least former in this case. "I guess with the dance moved up it's giving kids a final chance to be a kid."

Ivory looked around. He was going to start moving to exit the party. He really didn't want to be there at all. He looked at Cecil. "Yes, it's a twinpistol sword..." He didn't want to talk anymore to this person. "I need to go..." He then started to walk towards the door.
Cecil noticed Ivory was beginning to make his way to the door before he nodded his head to the exit. He confirmed dhis idea on Ivory's weapon before he bowed his head. "Good luck then Ivory." He told him before deciding to go walking away to interact with others. He decided now would be a good time to walk and get a good idea as he slowly walked around to try and find someone interesting to talk to.

Ivory left, his suitcase behind him. He needed air. His weapon was still on his side. He didn't know where else he could go. He wasn't paying attention when he ran into a woman. She had a tail just like him, however, it was very different. He said a quick "Sorry!" His soft voice seemed very panicked, the fur on his tail stood up on edge. He seemed a bit necrotic.

It didn't surprise him that Chikara was ready to ask questions of his students, they were there to learn afterall. I wonder what answer would most intrigue you. Alas I may never know your response to that, but I will for my answer. He nodded in response to the question. I believe I'm preapared to learn many things from you, I can only hope to prove myself in your lessons. Releasing Chikaras hand he let he crossed his arms. To be completely honest I'll be most interested in your class. I've never.. Had an opportunity to better acquaint to the nuances of dust. Do you have any recommendations for a student relativley new? The most practice he had was in hand to hand combat, this was something Mr. Aidou ensured all his children did as he never wanted them to be completely defensless. As he got older he discovered a love for sword fighting, the elegance of two combatants caught in conflict, it reminded him of ballroom dancing in someways.
He took this opportunity to quickly examine his teacher. Slightly taller than me, thats not all that uncommon, I am only 18 afterall. Bulkier than me, although unless I'm pitted against him I can't tell to what extent. He has good dress sense, the other teachers, bar Aurtrox, seemd trapped in their attires. He doesn't seem old, but does give off the persona of someone whos had years of experience beyond his age, in all likelihood he does. All the while he listened carefully to the advice given by Chikara, it would be rude to ask a question and not pay attention to the answer. It was comforting to see one of the teachers wasn't as, unique, as the others. Here's a man I can look up to. Eloquent, elegant and all around well rounded individual. I suppose I'll grow to accept the others, constant life threatening situations must start to effect you after a while.
Smiling he continued the conversation. Thank you for the advice, I'll be sure to take it to heart. I would also like to thank all of you for the festivies being put on, but I imagine it would take me quite sometime to thank everyone involved. He looked around at all the smiling students as he said this, of course there were the few that seemed disinterested in it all, but for most this was the most impressive event they had ever attended. Turning back to Chikara he took a moment to give him space to speak. I was wondering something. Do you happen to know the sleeping arrangements for the students? I thought I heard the dorms were only for formed teams, but we haven't been allocated teams yet? It was a simple enough question, his face gave a look not of concern or confusion but of simply a desire to understand.

Joji Sage Semblance: InactivePost count: 1Level: 0 "The sun keeps falling when you woke up."
The double doors would begin to open, and in walked a young man who donned clothing littered with mainly golden yellow assets. He shifted his cape back so that it moved away from his legs as he walked into the opening ceremony. His golden eyes focused on the multiple people who resided with the area before finally focusing his attention on the one who appeared most similar compared to Joji. Once his eyes met with Jazz, he came to a strong stop and tilted his head in astonishment. "Wow, what are the odds, I have a doppelganger." He debated whether or not he should head over and spark up a conversation with him, but he also wasn't so sure. What caused him to question that idea is that in some lore, a confrontation with your doppelganger is never a good thing. Still, Joji doesn't see any other realistic problems with speaking to the young man.
Joji slowly walked over to the young man before stopping and noticing the person he was talking to. "Oh, I don't want to be rude. He said as he would search and locate a place to sit. He sat and waited until at least someone approached him, if not, he'd leave and find a place to relax.
