Aurora needed a break she took a book out of her bag, she glanced up every now and then to watch the torti and take down a few more notes. She even considered leaning back to take a nap. She was having a great time, but the excitement was a bit draining after a while. She could only take so much before she needed a nap. She chuckled to herself maybe she was getting old, too many years and not enough energy left to do things for long periods of time. After all she had almost fallen asleep on the deck of the ship.

Aedus stood near Nashira and looked at the cherub that came towards Nashira, he wondered if they knew it was a cherub when they asked if they needed any help. Aedus laid down in the sand looking at the torti and wondering again what his new friend was thinking. He said up and turned to his new friend "Umm what am I going to call you?" He said softly to his torti. He was happy that he was having a good day, still though he wished he knew where Nimah was, but maybe this was her way of telling him that she needed space.

Nahira looked up as someone approached her. At first she couldn't see them well because of the glare of the light. Was it another conservationist? She squinted, but they were sort of short... A freshling? "Can I help you?" she asked as he approached. The little torti seemed to get spooked and quickly merged from the sand and crawled under her bent legs.

When the student looked up at him, he smiled, then jumped as a torti scrambled out of the and and hid under the girl's legs. "Oh, I didn't mean to scare your little torti. I just... wanted a closer look." He blushed a little.

Coco laid down in the sand trying again to get a torti eye view of the world, she wondered if she would get in trouble if she crawled to a torti hole and looked inside. She crawled through the sand in the direction of one of the torti holes to see if one of the hosts would yell at her and tell her to move back. Coco felt a little bit daring doing something she thought might be against the rules. She moved a little bit closer to the hole still wondering and thinking and watching the torti moving near her.

Odessa

Kiessi drew in a deep breath when they saw that there were very few more torties coming out. Maybe they were frightened in some way? They really couldn't be sure since they didn't know all that much about them. They hoped that a few more would show up if nothing else so they could get pictures to show their siblings.

Nashira gently reached over and picked up her torti. It was heavier then she was expecting, but not too bad. It fussed a little, but then settled down when she placed it in her lap. "I haven't had much experience with a pet rock. I would worry about something that couldn't defend itself against my pumpka. It is... a precocious little gourd." When Aedus suggested they meet up after this trip to let their torti play, she nodded. "I think that is a fine idea." Wait, this was making friends. She was sure of it. She didn't do it very often, or very well, but they had common interests, and he expressed being around each other again. This was totally friendship making.

"We could... even get together without the torti. If you like, that is. I mean, I would not be opposed to spending time with you outside of school trips and familiar playdates."
