Username: Cheyriddle4 Word Count: 165 The Offering:Watching the spirit appear before her and vulpix. It took him aback. Though quick to regain her composure. The ghost pokemon's words resounds inside her thoughts. Her task before her and with such a vague request. She quickly steps forth to make an offering to hopefully appease the shrine and the pokemon associated with it.
Picking up feathers from the ground and finding other materials. She goes about her task. Taking time to think on what exactly the offering should be. Leather strips.. feathers.. beads.. She starts to make a necklace. With each item she makes a wish for the lost pokemon and for her hopes for them. Hoping they find peace. Hoping that the shrine becomes visited again. It is a wonderful place. After a time she realizes that she is done. Turning with the necklace in tow. She makes her way towards the shrine. Bowing her head she places the necklace in front of the shrine. " Blessed be.. I hope you find peace."

Username: Nisshou H Word Count: 128 The Offering: She nearly jumped out of her skin at the sudden appearance of the ghost but settled soon enough. Feeling sympathy for the ghost she raced away to find the most suitable offering she could think of. She returned with several sticks of incense, a bowl of food for the restless spirits and a simple cloth. She set the food on the shrine and lit the incense but she wasn’t done there. With the offerings down she felt she had bought herself a little time and began to clean the shrine to the best of her ability. She cleared away dead foliage and polished what could be polished. Once satisfied with her work she bowed low to the ground.
“Find peace, spirit. You have been forgotten for too long.”

Username: AislingJuno Word Count: 234 The Offering: After hearing the Vulpix's story, Aisling felt sad for the small shrine and the shrine ghost misdreavus . Clearly she knew that she needed to help both the shrine and the ghost pokemon. Misdreavus had asked for an offering and Aisling wanted to give her. She thought about what she could possible give. In her pokemon bag she was not currently caring much; empty pokeballs, pokefood ,a flashlight, some currency , her keys but not anything with any sentimental value. Her hands went to her throat and touched the necklace her mother had given to her at the start of her travels. The necklace was a single purple pearl on a silver strand. Her mother had given her the necklace to both give her luck and to remind her of her family. Aisling bit her lip in thought, it was the only reminder of her family that she had but items that were loved had the biggest physic imprint and made the best offering. Aisling placed the necklace on the shrine before placing her hands to together and bowing to the shrine. Closing her eyes she gave a silent prayer towards the shrine and it's occupants. She promised that for one hundred days she would visit the shrine so that the occupants would not feel lonely. When she could she would bring other people to visit so that the shrine would not be forgotten about again.

A soft, calming chime rang out during the motion and her eyes swiftly caught the glint of a bell dangling from the charm bracelet around her wrist. A smile licked at the edges of her lips as she opened the clasp and removed the charm from the bracelet and moved over to the shrine. She threaded the loop over a dangling branch from the shrub and listened as the bell rang out as they swayed whimsically from one side to the other.

They looked around themselves, drawing a blank and finding their current surroundings lacking. Instead, they look to themselves and one little trinkets they have brought with them already.
With a mournful look, they pull off their woven bracelet, the stringed edges fraying with age. It had been theirs for many months now, the blue and white darkened and dirtied with use but had been pressed against their skin as a constant companion. It wasn't much, but they had loved it for the time they had it. But there was little other options, they thought mournfully, finally laying the simple but heartfelt offering before the shrine.

Username: Dollfie Word Count: 197 The Offering: Heart thudding in her chest and thoughts racing over how to appease the spirit, she paused and took a deep breath. Though clearly urgent, the spirit surely wouldn't appreciate a poorly considered offering. It wasn't as though had time to peruse the market to find a perfect offering, though, so she'd have to get creative.
Making her way to a low creek bed, she knelt down in the marshy muck and sifted through the smooth, wet stones, brushing them off and holding them up until she found ones that seemed to glow in the moonlight. Quietly focusing on cleansing them, she ran them under the trickling flow of water, rubbing them methodically until they were nothing but smoothness.
She made her way over to a small clearing, and placed the stones on the highest branch she could reach to let the winds dry them. Satisfied, she placed her hands over the stones, imagining the beautiful, intense spirit at the shrine and imbuing them with her kindest wishes and sincere intent.
Fervently willing that her intent was enough when lacking material goods, she placed the clean, smooth stones at the altar as an offering of peace and kindness to the unsettled spirit.

"May you find peace."

I'm a little tied up right now --- round/day #2 will end a little later, perhaps 15-30 minutes later (i.e. in half an hour to 45 minutes, absolutely no later than an hour), and round/day #3 will start right after that.

That was the last thing she was expecting to see while just passing through the area. A nudge from the Vulpix and she snapped out of her trance and sat down to go through her bag. From inside she pulled a dusk stone, flawless and polished, just collected in a town nearby.
She placed the stone upon the altar and went through her bag once more producing a small offering of berries as well. She sat back and looked at the altar carefully, before reaching up and taking her necklace off and carefully draping it around the dusk stone. She clasped her hands, prayed and left before anyone else could come along.

And the round 1 winner is... .Tortured. .Pumpkin. ! Misdreavus was so thrilled by your offering, she was set free from her bindings to the shrine! Congratulations!
The offering also set free other weakened ghosts who were bound to the shrine after fading out of memory... Congratulations, dawns_aura and Dollfie! Should you choose to accept these surprise prizes, and if you have not yet won familar freebies in the event, the Mismagius bat and Spiritomb condor are now yours. Please quote me with your preferences. dawns_aura was rolled first and thus receives first pick. You have 24 hours from the timestamp of this post to claim!
Your offering joins vulpix's at the shrine. And now moonlit once again, the inscriptions surrounding the shrine suddenly glow to life. A heavy, ethereal mist swells up, rising from the ground, and out of it rises an obscure shape -- then another, and another.
The misdreavus, reformed and full of new vitality, bows her head deeply in gratitude. "Thank you," she says, in a voice that is now lilting and musical, revitalized just like the rest of her, "It has been a long time since many of us have been honored. You have my deepest thanks." She looks off to the side, at the swirling mist beside her now taking the form of other ghost pokemon.
"Your presence has called us back. We now have the strength to join the festival." She smiles. "We will remember you like you remembered us. May moonlight forever guide you." She rises, floating, then streaks off into the sky. The other ghosts follow. They leave shimmering trails behind them and you stare, awestruck.
"It's been a good night," Vulpix says cheerfully, staring up at the sky, then turns to you. "Don't worry, they'll be back for the celebration."
"...Maybe... With your help, maybe all our troubles will be over in time for the festival." Before you can ask, she leaps off into the trees once more, robbing you of the opportunity for discussion.
When you return to the clearing, the vulpix is nowhere to be found. Instead, a dusclops seems to hover in the center. The full moon shines through the smoke roiling about its body and over its bandages. The light is strange tonight -- unusually eerie. It is red, and dim, like a blood moon of stories old. An unsettling omen.
The dusclops' piercing red glow seems to shift and focus on you, and it stops. You freeze. It opens its mouth to reveal an unearthly sound:
"GHoSSSsst sssTORiesSSs. TELL USSS thEM." The order sends a chill down your spine. "Orrrrr a leGENd. We ssssspeak of them DUring the fehhhhsssstIVAL. SSSsstORiesss offf the pASSSsst. WwwhhEE mUSSt passsss thEM on. CHErissshhh them. THHhhhhhhheRE isss mEANinnnng to THEMMmm."
