Response: Aiday ended up doing the crossword puzzel on nightmares since she was a dryad. She had been living in the below since she was a freshling so answering the crossword puzzle questions was really easy. She smiled as she worked the puzzle was kinda fun too. Aiday hummed to herself as she finished her assignment and turned it into the teacher. Then she went back to her desk to write in her notebook till the class ended. She sighed she was a little bored now having finished the crossword puzzle so quickly. She went to grab the daydream crossword puzzle and filled it out as well.

Username: Embi-lamb Student Name: Gaius Number Rolled: 3
Story: The story was one of healing. The man in the wheelchair had grown up unable to walk. The man was home schooled by their choice, not willing and scared to face society and the trials someone like him would face.To combat the lonliness, once the boy had become a man, they decided to get him a companion. Someone who would understand his situation.
They found Calisto, the three-legged horse.
The two bonded and and soon became inseparable.
Response: Gaius was not a fan of writing stories. They just weren't his idea of a fun time. He wrote down the first thing that came to mind for the picture, even if it didn't make a whole lot of sense to him. He didn't even bother to refine it, believing there was no way to make anything he could possibly write any good. So, he left the story as it was and moved on to his next assignment.

Username: Embi-lamb Student Name: BonBon Number Rolled: 1
Story: In an alternate universe, nightmares are the destroyers and terrorists of mythology, while Dragons are the ones who evolved and developed in to a sentient race. In this world, the nightmares are far larger, meaner, and more feral, while dragons are smaller, and pose less of a threat.
Response: Really? BonBon got stuck with the picture of the teensie tinsie dragon? It was like a pygmy dragon. Swell. BonBon had no interested in lizards, and especially zero interest in dragons of all creatures. Looking at some of the other photo options the other children had, BonBon was feeling quite flustered. She could have come up with a half-way decent story for any of the other photos, but this one?
What was she supposed to say? What was she supposed to write? Her mind raced anxiously at the idea that, maybe, this one time, Bonnie would be unable to actually hand in an assignment.
Sitting back, she thought long and hard before realizing that 0 was a far worse mark than a low mark. That 0 would have a far bigger impact on her final grade than a lower score would. Even if it wasn't very good she had to write something.

August 2017 Academy: Language arts Junior 1. Student writes a Haiku. If not original, proper credit must be given. 2. RP the student writing the Haiku. 3. 100 words minimum. 4. ??? Profit!
Username: Embi-lamb Student Name: Raa
Haiku:
I hunger for meat This anger will not leave me I just want some sleep
Response: Raa had to finish the last of his semester from home, unable to emotionally go back to the place where his life was forever changed. His haiku was ... eye-opening. Despite his medications the occasional boughts of rage and hunger were still there, try as hard as he may to ignore their presence. It was hard, harder than he had hoped for or expected. The cure wasn't a cure. It was just a band-aid fix.
He hoped his teacher wouldn't freak out over his haiku and think he had missed his meds. He hadn't. The tracking spell on him would have told the authorities ages ago,. and the boy would be dead already.
They really didn't need to worry so much ...

Story: Rosie was an experienced horse rider, she'd been doing it for as long as she could talk ("Mummy, please I want to ride a pony!") He persistence had worn her parents down till finally they had gotten her lessons, she was set to become a professional one day! Until... the accident happened.
It was a normal day, Rosie had taken sweetpea the pony out for a ride on the hills, it was a route they both knew well and they had been going this way unchaperoned for a long while now, the sky had begun to cloud over and Rosie had said to Sweetpea it was probably time to head back, they had to maneuver a particularly steep corner just as the heavens opened and a crack of lightening fell from the sky, Sweetpea Buckled up on her back legs, throwing Rosie down the hill and hurting her pretty bad...
Rosie still rode Sweetpea and the other horses despite her being in a wheelchair now, but becoming a professional might be a little harder to achieve - but she was determined that one day Sweetpea and her would be covered in badges and have their names in lights!
Response: Rex sat with his head in his hands, He was not a big story writer, he really struggled to think of something imaginative, but he felt he'd done a pretty good job with the assignment... Maybe.

Story: It had been a long time since Cindy had gotten hurt. The saying was wrong, Time hadn't healed all wounds. She found herself sad often, wishing to be able to move more freely without the help of her chair.
One day, a friend took her to a ranch. Cindy thought it was silly, it was hard to move her wheelchair around since there was a lot of mud and uneven areas that made it hard, but her friend helped out. She got to meet all the animals, which was kind of fun. One of the animals was a white horse. "He used to be a racehorse," she was told "but his leg got hurt, now he can't race anymore."
Cindy realized this horse was like her. She smiled as she feed him. Maybe she found a new friend.
Response: Riley never considered themselves to be much of a writer and this particular piece of writing certainly didn't change their mind on that opinion. He didn't find himself very inspired by the picture, however much they liked it. Hopefully no one else other than the teacher would read their story. They shrugged as they turned it in. Oh well.

Username: Embi-lamb Student Name: Castiel
Haiku: When there comes a time Where we have to fly the coop I will be ready
Response: Senior year was fast approaching and Castiel could not be more excited. He could really see himself having a life with Kai. The two of them had been dating for a few years now, and it felt like they were going pretty strong. Not everyone was fortunate like they were, or like his parents were. Castiel had never understood wanting a large family until he met Kai. Then, suddenly, all he wanted was a nice, cozy home with lots of rugrats running around to call their own. It made his heart flutter at the very idea, and his stomach jump excitedly. He couldn't wait ...

Username: One Little Jay Student Name: Liath
Haiku:Goblins like to cook I don't like anything else Puzzles are so dumb
Response: Liath was NOT a writer, as a matter of fact, you could say he was the opposite. Whatever that was so when he was told he would have to write a poem his face pulled into an even deeper scowl than normal. He counted the syllables out on his claws as he formed basic sentences filled with the first words that came to his mind. It was far from eloquent he knew. He felt it did, however, have some of his personality in it. Which could only be a good thing... right? Maybe not but he was satisfied that it would pass for a haiku and that was all he had to do. Recounting the syllables one more time, he was satisfied and handed in the paper.

Story: Have you ever heard the legend of the mist on the moors. It is said if you go out right after a new moon, early in the morning before the sun has risen and walk through the mist you will come to a magical lake. my grandmother often said, if you were pure of heart you would meet him. A lone spirit who had long ago taken the form of a wolf. He is knowledgeable about all things, but so lonely. a young boy had once gone, he had braved the treacherous mist and dangers of the moor and met this wolf. At first the boy was just lonely, he too had no friends, so every month the boy wold trudge through the moor to meet the spirit bringing gifts, a rock, a flower, a plant. He kept it a tradition bringing his children, and then their children. The spirit was still lonely but it was better, it looked forward to the visits, until they stopped. The family all dying in a fire.
.... it's said if you go to the moors, you can meet a spirit. A spirit just wanting a friend.
Response: Keres admitted they could be creative, however it was more designing music. You could feel a music piece. They much more preferred to read stories than write them. However wasn't that what school was about? You challenged yourself out of your comfort zone to see if maybe there was something you didn't expect that you would be awesome at.
Or that's what they told themselves as they stared down at the paper. Why was nothing coming. It wasn't until they caught their reflection in the window that something dawned. It was august, it was close enough to the hallowed haunts right? So Keres started penning down a story like a legend; of a spirit and it's struggles. The first part came east. It was figuring out how to end it that was athe problem. They left it open like any good urban legend. Something almost felt like it was missing but it was complete for now. After all Keres was a musician not a writer.

Story: The storm had lasted all night and the sailors were afraid. There had been noises all night, noises that no normal storm made. The captain thought it might have been a whale, but that was impossible! Whales didn't live in the sky, they lived in the sea. The best he could do was put on a brave face and help his crew wait out the storm.
In the morning, as the clouds were clearing, the crew heard a long and low moaning noise coming from above their heads. They looked up and stared. There, in the sky, as the clouds parted for the rising sun, was the impossible. A giant whale floating amidst the clouds.
Response: Bryony had stared at the picture for a long time, wondering what kind of story he could make up for that. It hadn't been as hard as he thought it might have been. He liked whales, but it seemed silly to have one in the clouds. Oh, well. He shrugged and wrote a story about the possible impossible.

Story: A girl stood at the edge of the beach. Water rolled over her toes. In the distance, she could see a ship. Above the ship was a large shape... It looked like... but that was impossible.
On the ship stood a man. He was a very old man, and he had seen a lot of things in his life time. But he'd never seen something like this before. In the clouds was a whale. And not just a cloud shaped like a whale. But an actual, living whale. This was impossible.
In a city far from the sea, a little boy slept in his bed. The morning light woke him and he smiled, thinking of his dream. Actual whales in the sky, flying with the clouds. That was impossible.
Response: This was stupid. Whales couldn't fly. Gryffyn scowled at the picture they'd been given. Their father would have gotten a kick out of the picture, Gryffyn thought, but the young hybrid just thought it was stupid. Still, he had to write some kind of story in order to get a good grade...

Username: Orangeish Sherbert Student Name: Cider
Haiku: To Create Haiku One must be good with numbers Counting is what works
Response: Language Arts was normally one of Ciders favorite classes…but writing a haiku? That was more about math rather than writing…and if there was one class in the whole history of classes that Cider hated above all others…it was math. She knew that poetry was an area of writing that she didn’t really understand or like for that matter…and honestly the whole concept of haiku had always…been stupid to her. What did it matter how many syllables something had? Even looking at her own hardly passing piece of poetry did nothing for her but…well, almost annoy her, if she were being honest.
No, poetry was not the avenue of writing that Cider wanted to keep pursuing…and honestly, it was best that she was finding such things out now, rather than later. At least now she would be able to cross this off of her list of things to try!

Haiku: Big wings, big hassle. Can never fit through hallways. These things really suck.
Response: Ophelia was not a poet by any stretch of the imagination. So she wrote about what bothered her the most. Her giant wings. It wasn't that she didn't like them. She did! She thought they were beautiful. They were just...huge. And in the way so often. They were hard to manage in the hallways. Either she bashed someone in the face with them or someone bumped into them trying to get past her. She supposed she would just have to get used to it. They were here to stay, after all. At least they made for a good haiku subject.
