When the door was opened and the water released, Richard pushed down any relief he felt since it just meant they were out of one possible death trap and could be walking into another one. Case in point their new surprise of either hoping the clown was gone or interacting with the shadow dogs. He looked over at Kit then over at the dogs. On one hand they were dogs and maybe they could be soothed down, on the other hand they could be youma in which case they couldn't.
He ran a hand over his face and gave a sigh in indecision but when Kit started to move towards them and talk them down he raised an eyebrow at the younger man and followed his lead in trying to sooth the dogs. This was probably not going to go over well at all but he wasn't going to leave Kit on his own and he couldn't bring himself to attack the canines, possible youma or no. "I hope you know what you are doing Kitkat." He muttered to the other man.
You're more chicken than a family bucket of KFC. You turn to run but realize that you're the only one running, so you decide to stick with the group, but stay in the back. Chicken.
Option Two:
Your ferocity pays off. You rush at the creatures and smack them, despite their attempts at lurching and snapping at you. With a few hits, you should be able to take them out. Roll your weapon's stats to see how much damage you do to the beast. The higher your number, the more epic of a beatdown you did. Good job!
Option Three:
It is by sheer wonder how Natural Selection has not picked you off yet in life. You approach the creature and reach your hand out.
Randomize between 1-2. If you randomize a 1, you are bit by the beast. If you randomize a 2, you inadvertently find yourself smacked by a wayward weapon of a comrade's.
With the rage and power of a thousand angry suns, most of your crew are able to beat the angry, snarling beasts into the piles of dust they'd been created from. Clearly they were youma dogs, so you don't feel PETA needs to be notified of their termination.
Finished with your grizzly task, the group now proceeds into the opposite stairwell, only this stairwell is completely pitch black, thanks to a series of shattered backup lights. Did someone do this on purpose?? Do you really have a choice????

Run as fast as you can because like heck are you going to stay in a dark stairwell any longer than you have to.

Richard Jones ~ Broken Wheelchair Fragment ~ Option one
Of course trying to sooth the dogs didn't go so so well. Richard managed to pull back fast enough so that he didn't get bitten and was glad to see Kit was just as fast, but he wasn't fast enough to dodge a random swing of a weapon. He was rubbing his arm where he got hit when the other's managed to dust the youma dogs, something he wasn't surprised to find out since he had been thinking they could be anyway.
When the group moved to head down the stairs and found it was dark, Richard fully planned on taking his time walking down them. This was added to when Kit grabbed on to him so he could lead. "I'm going to be moving slow so we don't trip." He let the other man know then started to head down.
Kathryn (( Option 3 + plus damage to beasts roll from last turn ))
Kathryn was angry. Those shadow beasts where in her way of getting the ******** out of here. It didn't take too long to make her decision on what her approach would be. Grasping the IV pole in her hands like a baseball bat Kathryn strode forth at an angry clip. Her gaze narrowed on the two creatures and she lashed out with a ferocity that was even unknown to her. Kathryn was not the only one to attack the dogs. It wasn't surprising that with others attacking that soon the dogs were history. Clearly stunned by this turn of events Kathryn merely shrugged and made way for others who wished to pass. Eyeing the stairs that Nurse Harmony now led them towards Kathryn grimaced at the darkness that roiled out towards the group. Great, more darkness.
Noticing that some of those that had tried to befriend the dogs were clutching injured limbs she passed among them offering quiet apologies. She was not sure if she actually struck someone or not but it was better to cover her bases and if she had struck someone then she was alleviating some of the guilt.
Knowing that to travel in darkness was better with two people Kathryn sought out Chailee once more. Could they help each other down the creepy stairs?

Though she was disgruntled to see she'd been the only one trying to flee, she did feel better seeing the dogs were youma, turning into dust and blowing away, allowing them to move past. She quickly rejoined Lilith and Réalta, though she was distraught to see Lilith had been bit, and quickly tore off a part of her shirt to use as a bandage. It wasn't bad, but better safe than sorry with all this crap.
They continued on, and she was none too happy to report that, again, the lights were off as they hit the stairwell. Lilith at leased got a chuckle out of her complaints of trying to find the stairs, though they went slowly.
Her claws met with little resistance, and with the combined force of those also attacking the creatures, they vanished into dust, youma and nothing more. Angry to see one had bitten Lilith, she rumbled her displeasure as she wound herself around their legs, before taking off. The pitch black stairwell made her nose wrinkle--as did the odd scent in the stairwell--and she took each step carefully, feeling her way down as even her night vision couldn't properly pick anything up.

She'd not realized how close her hand had gotten to the creatures. When one lunged for her, she only was given a warning by the sudden hot breath and screech of a yowl from Réalta before the fangs clamped down on her arm. She yelped, kicking and shoving back at the creature, stumbling back against the wall.
It wasn't deep, but that didn't keep it from hurting, and to hear the creatures were dusted made her eyes narrow. Youma. Great. Made sense, given the General, but... were they all youma then..?
She held still as Cassie bandaged her arm up, and when they set off, she stuck close to her cousin. Entering a stairwell, her nose wrinkled at the smell, but she continued on as normal--or would have, had Cassie not pulled back slightly and informed her that, again, the lights were dead. Hearing her grumble as they picked their way carefully down did make her chuckle, though she didn't hold it against her. Better safe and slow in these situations.
Matt Duffyis taking his time (option 1) {Phone and Cord Weapon}
At some point Matt had drifted asleep, he wasn’t sure when it had happened or how long he had been out with Kyle leaning on his chest but he had eventually woken up as the familiar voice sounded over the speakers again. He groaned, stiff from sleeping on the hard floor and hungry from passing on the food the night before. It wasn’t the worse he had dealt with there had been quite a few nights in the lab that he had passed on a few meals so he could keep working. Getting up he stretched out his legs trying to un-crinkle himself as something slowly began to drip on his head. Water? Soon the drips started to pour a little more and more as the room began to fill up, the fact that not only were his socks wet but so were his leather shoes Matt sloshed his way over to the door trying to help a few others to open it. Facing the clown seemed to have a better chance of a few of them living versus drowning in a room like a bunch of idiots.
Luckily before it got too full for all of them to drown Matt and a few others had managed to pry the door open causing their bodies and all of the water to rush out into the hallway. Not only was he hungry, sore, and tired but now Matt was also soaked to the bone making him even more miserable than he had been when he woke up. Next time his sister decided to sign him up for some sort of event he was going to make her attend as punishment… maybe. Looking for Kyle he found him among the others and took his hand again. At least there was no sign of the clown, well there was a rubber nose left, pity, but no clown to be seen. A few minutes and everyone eventually rung out most of the water they could from their clothes that they made their way to a different set of stairs with hopes that the first floor door would be open. It seemed to go well until something crawled it ways into the hallway, or more like appeared.. Or maybe they had been there to start with and Matt had paid them no attention considering he was looking at Kyle for the most part making sure he was seemingly ok still.
They looked as if they had been made from shadow in a shape of a dog with teeth and rather angry disposition that easily sent fear through a few members of the group. They had seemed rather intent on guarding their way forward and being as miserable as Matt had little interest in having to waste any more time nor did he feel like turning around and having to run across the clown again. Letting go of Kyle’s hand Matt lunged forward, phone in hand swinging it around has heavily as he could towards the beast.
Luckily, the phone had done a well enough job smacking one of the beast across the jaw and the other across the shoulder as they soon dissipated. Taking Kyle’s hand again they finally reached the stairwell, so close to being out of the forsaken hospital. Except there were no lights, it was completely pitch dark and Matt groaned internally, squeezing Kyle’s hand again. Like hell if he was turning around now he thought moving forward cautiously taking each step at a time with his hands on the railing.

Chailee Sterling - Run as fast as you can because like heck are you going to stay in a dark stairwell any longer than you have to. (Scalpel) The dogs exploded in a curtain of dust. They were youma as she had expected. That was good and bad. Good because maybe the stuff they experience yesterday had been youma too (they had to be, right?) and bad because, well, youma. The group was certainly big enough that if the creatures wanted they could pick people off from behind and create a chaotic mess as other people tried to get away.
As such, when they came upon the blackened staircase Chailee decided to take the risk and dash downwards. One, she’d be able to get to the bottom and make sure it was safe for the others and two, if she was one of the first ones though, maybe she’d be one of the ones attacked if there were youma hiding in the darkness. It would be a perfect spot for the chaos creatures to lay in ambush.
So, taking a deep breath, Chailee charged down the stairs. She trusted muscle memory to get her down the stairs safely and prayed that if anything was lurking it wouldn’t hit too hard.
He had been involved in helping with the door, not wanting to continue to get wet and cold. That just risked people, including himself, getting sick and even if people didn't get sick just how good was it to be all wet and cold? Shivering as they got out of the break room he wasn't surprised when something else was presented to them, another thing to overcome.
Not wraiths so...youma? he'd heard of them but never seen one. The only thing though that came to mind was that. Looking towards the tall man, he didn't even know his name, he shifted a bit before deciding he wasn't in the mood to let these shadowy dogs stop him. He'd already dealt with enough and he wanted to get out of here and warm up and sleep - proper sleep...in a bed!
That was why he went with attacking the beasts with the piece of a wheelchair he had. Swinging it at one of the dog like beasts as he made to get past them and to the stairs, which he made his way down rather quickly.

You cling to the railing as if you were blind (because I mean, you sort of are) and take your time moving down the stairs. Before you realize what's happening, you feel a sticky ooze coating the railing and as you pull your hands back, you realize the coppery smell lingering in the air is that of blood. Now with hands covered in blood, you have no choice but to either use your own clothing (or your friend's) to wipe your hands off as you make your way out of the stairway door into the main hallway. Gross.
Option Two:
You race down the stairs as quickly as possible. It takes all of four steps before you manage to trip and tumble down the remainder of the stairs, leaving you with various cuts, sprains and bruises. Randomize a number 1-5 to determine the level of pain you're in (1 being you got off pretty lucky and 5 means you're limping, you daft fool).
Option Three:
After everything that has happened, you've decided the best course of action is to sacrifice one of your companions to the Darkness and allow them to lead you in and down the stairs. As you head down the first flight, you feel someone else's hands take hold of your waist and do the same - clearly, you have started a trend.
It's only after the next set of stairs that you realize the hands holding on to you are ice cold... but the stairwell isn't really that chilly. Granted, you're soaking wet but this is almost like fingers of ice digging into your shirt. The grip on your shirt tightens as you proceed further, until it begins to pull you back.
As you struggle to keep yourself latched on to your partner, the hands are pulling urgently against you, to the point that you have to reach down and shove them off.
A sickening smell of death fills your nostrils as a voice moves to whisper something unintelligible in your ear. Roll 1 6-sided dice to determine what it says to you:
1-2 Whispers a secret that only you know 3-4 Tells you not to worry, that it'll keep you company (: (: (: 5-6 Something probably creepy as hell, feel free to choose and scare the pants off yourself (and us, for reading it)
You make it out of the stairwell, some of your group more shook up than the others. But you're there... the main hallway. The end is in sight, the main entrance doors off in the distance.
Nurse Harmony seems the most relieved as fingers twist around her rosary and you think you overhear her saying a prayer of gratitude. Whatever works, right?
Unfortunately, it seems that two of the large columns in the middle of the entrance have now toppled over, creating large and oversized obstacles for you to climb over.
It's going to take some effort to get to the other side, though that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone else in your party.

Work your way up and over the pillar fragments - you're gonna get the heck out of dodge, no matter what!
Option Two
Assist those who clearly need some help getting over the obstacles before climbing it yourself.
Option Three
Stand there and look pretty while waiting for everyone else to do the work.
