Zeylla was coming to the assumption that she would never be any better or worse at this watermelon game, and spent her time enjoying smashing melons instead of trying to get a better score. It was almost relaxing to be so destructive. Even if she knew she could do better, she didn't much worry about it, and as she finished, she gave Scorpa shrug that said, 'oh well, it was fun anyways' before sliding along to the next activity...
Eostre returned to show the watermelons what's what. Well, she managed to be about average this time. She already had a high-ranking military office so it's not like she needed to prove herself to these juniors.
ZEYLLA CRYPSI Lorata says...! Score:2 ...Zeylla strutted up to Lorata's activity with confidence, but found herself falling short of her last attempt by quiet a bit. A little embarrassment tickled her cheeks, but every time she messed up she just felt more and more flustered. Thankfully, Lorata did not seem so angry at her(probably because of how well she did before, obviously) and Zeylla left her challenge soaking wet and a little bruised in the ego, but at least she hadn't gotten knocked out this time...
...Zeylla was feeling a little flustered as she arrived at the obstacle course, but felt determined to do one thing right at this booth today. So she took a deep breath and charged her way through the course. Of course, because she was trying to just get through she wasn't doing the most impressive job(she could tell from Austri's look of disapproval) but HEY it was working.
The first two challenges were definitely sloppy, but she tightened her act up on the last stretch, determined to not mess up. And it worked, she leaped gracefully from rolling platform to rolling platform, and landed on the end side with a small 'WHOOP!' of pride, arms stretched up in victory, before hopping off the course and jogging lightly over to the last event...
...Zeylla was starting to wonder if the troll running this booth was doing it on purpose, but for the second night, she got a barely half-full bucket of water dumped on her, which was still cold but not so terrible. She didn't say anything though, because she definitely wasn't against an easy win. So she stuck out the ice water and then happily took another towel to dry herself off before leaving before Flydra could eye her any more (every time, she felt like, she showed up, she was being stared at by that troll...it was uncomforting, she liked to study trolls not be studied herself.)
Eostre let herself be pelted with water balloons for not following directions. It felt nice enough in the summer heat. She wished she didn't feel so cheated when she didn't manage it though.

Eostre hated to lose. She laughed it off well enough, but she was not happy with the way she slipped in the second challenge, finding herself in the small pool below.
Jeez Louise (whoever Louise was, what a fine troll name that would be) is this not his day! Determined to do better today, Mahmud thought he could tackle this booth with gusto. Instead however, he found himself swinging and missin' all over the place. What a disgrace. He may even find himself with melon on his face. A true tribute to the troll race.
Okay he really needed to stop stress-rhyming.
The only thing that could be said was that the few melons he did manage to hit splattered in such a way that added to his look. Which really was saying something, because Mahmud's outfit was still absolutely atrocious. Just sayin', even the watermelon bikini would be an improvement over Bermuda shorts, a hawaiian top, and socks with sandals.

Well, it was a slight improvement from yesterday? But he still found himself having a hard time following Lorata's instructions. At least, the whole "Lorata Says" part. Actually he was very good at following whatever they said, period. Just not good at realizing when he was and was not supposed to.
When given the option to choose a bobblehead, he most certainly chose Lorata's. Mostly because he didn't want to insult them by mistake. Lord knows, they were probably scary when angered.

Today was the day. Not like yesterday. Mahmud refused to let his legs noodle out, absolutely refused.
Austri didn't seem to think much of him, it seemed. That was fine though. This victory wasn't for them. This was for him. Most of all, it was for the sake of some gogdarned sparkly sandals! Make fun of his sandals, do they? How would they like it if the got owned by some squirt with socks? And then he'd show off his fresh new kicks and Static and Poe would be like "Awwww man, awesome we've got the coolest friend!" And then Polair, Tevini, and Cerpin would swoon and be all-- well, honestly the point was the same. Everyone would be jealous of him for once, instead of the other way around!
Needless to say, with the mental image of sweet kicks in mind, Mahmud totally owned this course. He hopped like a bird over to each pad. He soared like a bird through the air as he swung from chime to chime. He ... wait, was he comparing everything to being like a bird? Really? Mahmud, the supposed wordsmith, was just comparing everything to being avian in nature? Okay.
Part of that probably was because when he got to the end, all he did was scream happily and jump up and down, "BOOM! I DID IT I DID IT~!" With a loud whoop he called out to Austri with a big smile. "Did I do good? Hows my time?" Okay maybe part of that comment was to rub it in her jeering face, but who cared? He won!

Mahmud was so pumped about winning that competition that he didn't even care at this point. Throw ice water on him, who cared! He was a winner! A winner!
In fact, he was so pumped about the challenge that he barely felt any of the ice! This totally made up for that fail from earlier with the watermelons!
As he was leaving the station however, his noodle legs chose that moment to give out again. Apparently, they didn't take well to having sat down. Once more a towel was thrown over him, and Mahmud just... laid a while, thinking about where his own hubris got him.

Determined to do better, Deimos returned to the Bikini Bootcamp booth. Those watermelons weren't going to get the best of him again, that was for sure! This time he found he had an easier time smashing them as they approached- though he still had to get out of the way a couple of times. But hey! It was improvement! Something he could brag to Perore about. Or something. Not that he necessarily needed to brag to Perore or anything.
Dei still wasn't very sure how he felt about the whole 'do what i say when I say' activity, but he supposed it was something to do. This time he had a much easier time paying attention to what she was saying. He resisted an eyeroll at Lorata's insistence that he'd be a good soldier someday if he kept it up- what if he didn't want to be one? Still, at least he got a cool toy out of it. He grabbed one of the MeduMa plushies, then headed off to the next activity.

This time Deimos was ready for the quad steps. He knew better than to assume his short little legs would be able to reach them very well. Rather than actually step, he opted to just leap from one to the other and hold on to the uppermost edge. He managed to get across just fine- though the "cheer" from Austri would have people thinking otherwise, probably.
Unfortunately that was where his luck ended. Where he'd breezed through last time, he struggled to hold onto the chimes and ended up sliding down into the pool of water. Groaning, Deimos moved on to the next part of the course. Predictably, a gust of wind knocked him off during his balancing act. It sure was windy around here...

Things have cooled down a bit at the Bikini Boot Camp but two particular challengers showed a lot of promise. Deimos would find several brochures for the JROTC shoved into his arms before leaving the booth after besting two of the four games! Mahmud also received a lot of literature for being one of the rare few that actually got through the entire Obstacle Course!
