Pulling the blankets over her shoulders, she moved her head onto the pillow and closed her eyes while Jared adjusted himself."Why?" Layla asked, moving her head up so she could see him, her eyes hooded. She wasn't sure why he didn't want to go to sleep, it was pretty much 4 in the morning and he had to wake up at 10. If it was her, she'd be dead asleep by now. "Black with on shot of espresso, right?" She asked, making sure she remembered his odd order. Hers was a lot different, hers was a vanilla latte, extra sweet.

Jared just shook his head with an inaudible chuckle when Layla asked why, lifting the hand that was rested on her arm to pat her head gently. "Don't worry about it," he said. He closed his eyes after a moment passed, basking in the silence and warmth of Layla's body before she asked how he took his coffee. Black with a shot of espresso. "You got it," he confirmed with a big yawn, scratching his beard a bit before putting his hand back behind his head.

Pushing Jared's hand away from her head with an eye roll, Layla shook her head. "Just tell me." She begged, having a feeling he wanted them to bang again, although Layla was so tired it would probably be the worst sex ever. Letting out another yawn, she closed her eyes again but refused to fall asleep until Jared told her. Adjusting so she was more comfortable, she turned over so her back was facing Jared. Pulling the blankets higher, all you could see was her head. It was how she slept most nights unless it was too warm. Although Jared's room was pretty cold, he helped with keeping her warm. "Tell me tomorrow." Layla mumbled, half asleep.

"Layla," said Jared in slight annoyance, "I'm telling you it's nothing, okay? Don't worry about it," he said again, brushing it off like it didn't matter. And it didn't, at least not to him. Sex was something that could be done anywhere at anytime and Layla was clearly exhausted from the days events. When Layla rolled away, the male merely put both hands behind his head and released another yawn before closing his eyes once more. "Goodnight," he mumbled softly, eventually drifting off into a sound sleep.

Waking up, Layla rolled over and checked the time on Jared's alarm clock, it was almost 12:30 and Layla was still tired. But she needed to get up and going for the day, stretching, Layla grabbed her glasses off the nightstand and got out of the bed. Putting them on, she walked over to her clothes from last night and pulled the shirt she borrowed from Jared off and tossed it into the laundry hamper he was throwing his clothes into then got dressed.

Walking out of the bedroom, she brushed her teeth in the bathroom then into the kitchen to grab her car keys from the counter then to the front door to put her shoes on and left the place after locking the front door behind her.

After grabbing two coffees, she headed over to Jared's work. Parking on the side of the road, getting out of the car, Layla walked into the shop while taking a sip of her drink. Walking over to where Jared was, she set it down next to him. "Here ya go." She smiled.

Jared pulled off his black latex gloves and tossed them into the nearby trash can, smiling as the teenager checked out her new shoulder blade tattoo in the mirror. She loved everything about it and wasn't shy to say it. "Alright, get over here so I can bandage that sucker up," he said, and she did just that. After applying a layer of lotion, he gently placed the white bandages over the tattoo before taping them onto her skin. "Now remember...you have to wash it and use the lotion as needed. Every day for the next two weeks. If you don't, it might crack," he informed, making sure to annunciate every single word that came out of his mouth. Of all his customers, the teenagers were the most forgetful, which was a shame because then they would have to come back for touch ups and pay extra. "Got it?" He asked, lifting his eyebrows questioningly as he looked her in the eyes.

"Yes, Jared," she said with a bright smile. "Thank you so much!! I love it. I can't wait to show it off." With that, she gave him a quick hug before running out of the shop just as Layla walked in. A warm smile almost instantly splayed across his lips. "Beautiful," he said, ignoring the coffee for now before slipping his arms around her waist and pressing a kiss to her forehead. "How's your day going?" He asked, blue eyes gazing into her honey brown ones.

Setting the coffee down on the table nearest to her when Jared approached, Layla let out a quiet chuckle. "I woke up like 30 minutes ago." She told him and wrapped her arms around his body when he did so to her. Looking up at the male who was much more taller then her Layla pressed lips on the tip of his chin. "Good, I gotta go put together the cake and box it then go take it to someones house for a party in a little though," Layla answered, "You?" She asked, knowing the male had to of been tired since he only got 6 hours of sleep, she knew what it was like to go through the whole day with a small amount of sleep. It sucked major balls.

"Just see to it that you make it back in time for your appointment," he said before Layla returned the question, to which he gave a faint shrug of his broad shoulders. "Alright, I guess. One of my regulars came in for her seventh tattoo, and counting," he said. "She's a chatty one. Did a better job at waking me up than a cup of joe ever could," he added honestly with a chuckle. Jared then sat back into his chair and helped himself to the coffee that Layla had so kindly delivered. "We've got like," he began, glancing at the time on his watch, "twenty minutes to kill before my next appointment. You wanna take a walk? I've been meaning to hit Southside Guitars; one of the strings on my electric is broken." He informed, taking another sip of his deliciously hot coffee.

Nodding when Jared mentioned she better make it back in time for her tattoo appointment. When talking about the client he just tattooed for her seventh one, Layla couldn't help but wonder how much money that would have added up to. "Let's go." Layla smiled once Jared mentioned taking a walk to Southside Guitar, her sophomore year in high school she took a semester of a acoustic guitar learning class but she didn't remember nearly anything. Pulling her phone out of her pocket, Layla checked the time, it would be a good time to leave in around twenty minutes anyways. It would give her time to shower, get ready, and deliver the cake. Setting her cup of coffee down on the desk, she didn't want to bring it because she's too prone to dropping things. Putting her phone back into her pocket, Layla walked out of the store, holding the door open for Jared.

Jared walked with Layla towards the front of the store where he grabbed his baseball cap off the coat hanger, putting it on his head. "Thanks," he said to Layla as he walked through the door, turning right onto the sidewalk. Digging his hands into his pockets, the male turned his head to look down at Layla while they walked. "So what are your hobbies? You play any instruments? Read? Game?" He asked curiously, figuring she'd already guessed one of his by now. Jared had been playing since he was a teenager. Sometimes he and his friends would get together and have mini jam sessions, just for hell of it. Brent played the drums like a king and Jeremy rocked an electric guitar.

Walking next to Jared down the sidewalk, she stuffed her hands into the small pockets of her sweater, the wind was a little chilly. "Hobby?" Layla wondered, "Baking, I guess." She chuckled, it was another job of hers but it was what she loved doing for others. Sometime's she'd give away a cake for free when she was feeling good. "I've been doing it since I was around 13, my mom taught me a lot. I just sort of made it into another job of mine because I like it so much." Layla chuckled, "I mainly make cakes and cupcakes for my clients but my favorite thing to make is cheesecake, it's my favorite." She smiled, "Or Creme Brulee, I like using the torch." Looking around the area, Layla hadn't been to very many shops that were downtown in a while, she's been too busy. But since she realized she liked Jared, she has found a way to make time to see him.

He just smiled as Layla went onto express her love for baking. "I've never had creme brulee," he said, "but I've heard it's delicious." Jared looked up at the stores sign as they approached it, before placing a hand on the small of Layla's back and reaching to pull open the door. A small 'ding' was heard and the two walked inside to see that the shop was basically empty at the moment, besides two or three people. No one was at the counter at present which was the norm. Autographed guitars, various photos with famous musicians and posters scattered the walls. As they walked around, Jared noticed the store owner, Dennis, assisting a customer. "That's Denny," he pointed out. "He owns the place. I've known him since I was about thirteen," he said to Layla. "He helped me pick my first guitar." Jared said with a smile. Dennis was an older fella, in his fifties, had a long beard and long grey-black hair to go with it.

"You'll have to try it some time." Layla smirked, although she was too busy to make creme brulee today, she'll have to find some time to make it this week. Store bought creme brulee was disgusting and there wasn't many restaurants that offered it in town. Walking into the store, Layla looked around, she's never been here before. Turning her head over to the older male Jared pointed at, she nodded her head. "Wow, sixteen years." She said, surprised Jared took her here, it seemed like a secret place no one ever talked about. Layla had a secret shop she didn't tell many people about which was in Boston where she's from and where her mom still lives. It's called Octopus Garden, it's a shop that sells funny gag gifts and silly knickknacks. It was where she bought most of her gifts to her friends when she was younger. As she continued to look around at the guitar's that hung high on the wall, "So which one is your favorite to play?" Layla asked Jared.

Jared nodded while they took a stroll around the shop, eyes wandering over to the collection of records Dennis kept. His curiosity got the best of him and he walked over with Layla to see what he had. "I don't know," he began, pondering the question for a moment. "I guess it's a tie between my ovation and strat," he decided while his fingers moved through the box of records. Jared had a turntable of his own at his apartment. He wanted one of his own for quite some time and as soon as he got his first big paycheck, he blew it on the one he'd been eyeing for months. "An ovation is a model of acoustic guitar and a stratocaster is a model of electric guitar," he explained. "If you come over tonight, I can show you what I'm talking about," he said questioningly, glancing over at Layla with a smile as he took out one of Meat Loaf's albums, Bat Out of Hell.

When Jared had answered her question, Layla was slightly confused, she was hoping he would say acoustic or electric. She had no idea there were different types of electric and acoustic guitars. As he started explaining what the two he enjoyed the most were, Layla nodded. "Oh, okay." She laughed quietly at herself. Eyeing Jared, Layla smirked, "Maybe I will." She smiled and read over the records he went through, furrowing her brows when he grabbed one that read 'Meat Loaf'. "Who names a band Meat Loaf?" Layla asked, what a ridiculous name for a band.
