Shesha - Post 5

Shesha turned to give Aqio a momentary glance before he looked forward once more. He could see why they were feared? He supposed that it made sense that the little fish would be afraid of such people, especially given that some of the older members of the army could have very well captured some of the Water Tribe back in the day. Back when such things were the norm instead of seen as a taboo. He wasn't so foolish to think that such things no longer happened, it just wasn't done out in the open or seen as something that was an every day, average thing.

Brushing a bit of dust from the fancy robes he was wearing Shesha started forward, nudging Aqio with the butt of his staff as he went, "Stick close to me, little fish, and I won't let anyone pick on you." He'd use his favorite 'magic spell' which was smacking people with the magic staff that he carried. Sure, it was a 'spell' that he tended to use where his teacher was concerned but it didn't eanthat he couldn't do the same with those who might tease Aqio. Not that he felt they would, surely they had better things to do, right? He'd like to believe so at least.

Incanthis - Post 5

"Is that so?" He murmured, giving the trio of snaptrotters all a glance as Abie explained that they all used vibrations to hunt in the water so that was why they were so attuned to them? That was interesting, giving him that much more insight into Junior and the things that he was good at. It raised some questions though, like if they were going to teach them how to hunt or not... or was that something that the massive Kyri would do in their place? It could be a combination of both since it was unlikely that she would be going with them on their trip.

Deciding to chat with Abie about that later he turned back to the parade, scooting another step closer to Kyri when the members of the army got as close to them as the parade route would allow. It was something that had his heart thudding in his chest, his breath held, while his silver eyes scanning for faces he knew. He wasn't sure if he was happy or not that he didn't spot anyone straight away. He supposed with as many members as their were in the army that finding a certain handful wouldn't be easy... which was possibly a good thing, right?

"The music is nice." It was likely the best part of the parade in his mind.

Bisera - Post 5

Giving a nod of his head Bisera said, "I agree, the way that they move... for some of them it seems almost supernatural, doesn't it? As though some of them are actually dancing spirits." He murmured, sounding as though he was quite in awe of all of it. The performers, the members of the army, everything was just... wonderful. He was going to make some beautiful pieces using the grand parade as his inspiration.

At the mention of the blanket he turned to glance at Xarnith, "Hrm? Is that so? I would love to see the pattern, Xarnith." It made him very curious, wanting nothing more then to see the pattern that Xarnith thought was like the movements of the dancers.

"Oh! Wow, look at them!" Bisera said in an excited manner, unable to help but to take a half step forward as the chariot that carried the royals along appeared before them. They were quite lovely, weren't they? Sort of like seeming a chief or elder back home... only even more amazing somehow. How he would love the chance to sketch one of them... but he doubted that a humble jeweler in training like him would ever get that sort of chance.

Aqio- Post 5

There was a jolt of surprise that went through the matori male when he heard his companion. Smiling softly. Aqio gave a soft chuckle. "Thank you, Shesha." he drew himself to the Oban's side. Knowing that he was getting a few stares, most likely for their combined looks. He leaned in to mutter to Shesha. "As always...people stare at what they cannot hope to gain."

He knew it would fluff up the others ego. That was his goal. As the youth leaned back his eyes flashed over a familiar face. He felt something dark roll in his chest. A hatred for the male he knew had beaten Incanthis. He looked silently around, knowing his brother was near. He had seen Kyri, the large green and teal female was a standout beauty here. She would most likely bite an arm off. If they came towards her charges. He thought about it. He should introduce Shesha to her...or to Laqet...that way if he ran into trouble and they were around. He'd have extra guards...

"Shesha." Aqio placed a delicate hand on the other's elbow. "Have you ever met a Snaptrotter?" a harmless question.

Bushi - Post 5

Giving a slight smile, one that seemed to be quite a fond one, he said, "Naw, Awat is just a very special place for me. It's small and very out of the way, but a nice place to visit if you have the time to do so." He was actually looking forward to going back there, "I sell things there on occasion since it's a small place, but it's not my main reason for going there." In fact it was a place that he went when he wanted to just laze about and enjoy himself. Well, he wanted to do that everywhere, but he was too busy with work for look much lazing.

Giving a smile he said, "Well, if you decide you want to go to Awat, let me know within the next couple days." He told her before he gave a laugh, "Though I am sure that you might get a bit of teasing if you came with me. It would be the first time that I brought anyone there with me after all. Even Aatos and Profit haven't gone yet."

Abie- Post 5

Abie glanced over to Incanthis, shifting till the shifter was encircled by the matorian's legs. Kyri shifting her large body to act as a back support for the pair. As the army came further into view. Abie glanced up as the stall they were near opened up their overhang to allow for more shade. He looked to the stall owner blinking as he saw his Mentor there for a moment before the male secured the overhang. The tall Oban was imposing as Laqet slipped past them, the twin Janarim following. A nod down to them and he was gone. The large snaptrotter and the twins went with him.

Abie gave a small half smile as he slipped his hand to hold Incanthis'. "Its okay...they can't touch you. Kyri's more than mauled her fair share of Oban's in her day. No one messes with Lord Laofay's beasts in broad daylight." he blinked seeing a few Oban's he knew were allies of his Mentor's. "Plus...I recognize half of that line that just passed...you don't wanna mess with them. Their all friends of Lord Laofay." He knew to keep referring to his Mentor as Lord out in public.

It just hit him that a few of the faces watching the parade were associates of his Caretaker as well. He fought back the urge to chuckle. Yup. Those two wee his foster parents alright. Overprotective.

Xarnith- Post 5

When his eyes caught Bisera moving the male instantly wrapped both arms around the smaller wind male and brought him back against his chest. Feeling the other's hips aligned with his own. Xarnith felt something roll in his gut. He ignored it in favor of holding the other closer. "Careful, Bi. I don't want their beasts to trample you. I'm sure their highly trained to protect the royals."

As the royals passed them. Xarnith leaned down to mutter into the other's ear. "Lets go find something to do. I saw some games a little ways back. There's stalls which are selling trinkets and such." He pulled a little away. Letting the other think.

Yitzah (Post 3) |
~~~~~~~~~~
"Just curious." said Yitzah. It hadn't started? Good. That meant that the impressive things were yet to come. "Everyone keeps telling me about how grand the parade's gonna be, and I want to see if they aren't just making stuff up." she explained, eying her curiously. The wink went over her head (metaphorically speaking) "So, is it?" she asked.
She soon got her answer. Music filled the air, and suddenly there was a twisting serpent of color and movement and earthlings. Yitzah's antennae twinged painfully at the vibrations, and she grimaced as the parade unfolded before her. Even still, though, the colors, the movement, the show of it all entranced her.
No, she wasn't regretting coming here at all.
People seemed to be moving along with the parade, not just watching it, and Yitzah's head turned to follow them. "Hey, are we supposed to go with 'em?" she asked, as she watched the parade pass by.
Eziya Post 4
"I think that would be the best plan!" Eziya exclaimed, scrambling up the ladder as she heard the sounds of the parade beginning to start. From up where she was she got a pretty good view of everything going on, but with the parade continuing to move she wasn't sure how long she'd have the good view.
"Do you think we should try to follow after the parade?" she questioned, glancing at Serr once he had gotten up the ladder himself.
Xariy Post 3
"Not so sure myself honestly. This is the first time I've been back home in about ten years if not longer. Not sure how things have changed since I've been gone." She was about to go into more detail when she heard the sounds of the parade beginning to commence. At least the music was still the same.
"We can follow them if you'd like. Not much going on here now that it's starting anyway. If we move through the crowd to watch them eventually it'll take us up to the palace for the grand old speech or whatever it is they're doing nowadays."
Shesha - Post 6
Giving a bit of a smirk Shesha said, "That is true, but some of us mean to get those things we aren't meant to have through a lot of hard work." And a bit of flirting if the need for it arose. Any means to meet his end was fine by him really. He just wanted to get all of those things that he starred at from afar, certain that he could achieve most of them... save maybe for the interaction with the royals themselves. A shame, but he didn't mind... at least not too much.
Running his fingers through his ruby colored hair he turned to look at Aqio, noticing that he was starring off at something in the middle distance, "Are you alright, little fish?" He asked, stepping closer so that he could look down his sight line toward... another Water Tribesman, a hooded figure, and some snaptrotters. He gave a humming sound before he asked, "Let's see... given his look I'd say that's the brother? And... the hooded one, another assassin?" He sure seemed as though he were eager to keep to the shadows, concealing himself from others. He supposed he could be another of Aqio's buddies.
"Eh? A snaptrotter?" He looked toward the giant beast, giving it a long look, before he said, "I only have a pet imp, something as big as a snaptrotter never appealed to me. I'd rather not be eaten by a pet."
Incanthis - Post 6
Incanthis gave a nod of his head, "I know." Well, he knew, but that didn't meant that it was easy to relax around so many Obans. Still he was at least able to enjoy the parade knowing that the adopted parents of the twins were out there among the crowd. Today at least it should be alright for them to enjoy themselves. Lifting a hand he rested it on Abie's shoulder, giving it a squeeze, "I will keep an eye out, but if Lord Laofay is about it should be alright." He wanted to believe that, so for the time being he would.
"You should definitely should refrain from chomping on tasty Obans though." Incanthis said to Kyri, giving her a smile, before he squatted down, scratching the two babies on their heads, "That goes for the two of you as well." He didn't want to see them nipping at the heels of others because they thought they could or should. They were still little, so they didn't know better, but at the same time they had sharp teeth and a very big mother.
Bisera - Post 6
Bisera turned to look over his shoulder at Xarnith as he was dragged backwards, away from the direction that he'd stepped toward, then flushed a bit. Oops, yeah, he should be careful... the last thing he wanted was the ruin the parade by getting himself trampled on. Turning to look forward again he said, "I will try to be more careful." He said as they enjoyed the tail end of the parade, taking in the last bit of what there was to enjoy before he turned to look at Xarnith once more. He kind of looked a bit like one of the big janarim at the moment, didn't he? All gruff and protective, it was kind of cute!
"Something else to do? Yeah! We should go and check things out." He agreed, eager to look around. There was a part of him curious about the speech that the King of Oba was supposed to give but at the same time he wasn't Oban. Would the speech even make any sense to someone who was foreign? He couldn't really say, meaning that instead the two of them should just enjoy themselves and enjoy the various games that there were to see. There was so much left in the festival to enjoy and now that the parade was winding down it was time for them to do just that! Something Bisera was excited for.
Lacing his fingers together with those of Xarnith he said, "There we go, this way I won't get lost while we move through the crowd. That way Fractis can take a bit of a break."
ORIN Post 3
Orin nodded his head in enthusiasm, that was more like it. He grabbed his sister and brother by the hand and led them through the crowd. "If we go this way we'll have a better chance of seeing Mom and Dad..." He let the words fade a bit before adding, "And all the cool stuff, too."
They didn't get to make it to where he had intended before the horns started to blare and the procession started. "Ughhh" he groaned. They were only at waist level to everyone else, how were they supposed to watch? He saw an empty stall and pointed over. "Should we climb that maybe, so we can watch? Or we can make a run for it and get a better spot?" He suggested. Whatever they did, they needed to do it fast.
Nuri Post 2
Nuri was distracted as things began to come together. One of the generals came by, instructing him to gather his group and prepare for the march. The musicians were starting up, and the dancers began to ready their movement. As warriors, all he needed to do was direct them when to begin, and that was a simple as whistling. His group was small, full of familiar faces, and ready to get this over as much as he.
Just as he was about to prepare fully, a light form jumped upon his back. Immediately his eyes darted to where Naraka stood, but the Janarim seemed almost pleased as he wagged his tail. That left very few options, and by looking down at the dark skin, Nuri immediately knew who it was.
"Edathe!" He groaned out, before gently grabbing her arms and directing her weight to the ground.
He glanced around, watching his peers look curiously over. He saw the dark forms even of Saraf and Karothdra in the masses, and hoped they didn't get any ideas. Karo would most likely tease him, but he didn't want to think what the strict Saraf would imply seeing him with a young dancer not his wife.
"How did you even get over here?"
Sorry for the delay, let's say Nuri is close if Saraf wants to jump in!
