Kaya shrugged to those around him. It looked like the right place what with the big "8" emblazoned next to the door but how could he be certain without actually asking? It didn't take very long after people began to gather before things started happening, seemingly all at once. Out of nowhere, he felt a pang of almost otherworldly malice. which drowned out an energy that almost numbed his senses. Was that an Electric-type's chi?
It wasn't but another moment or two later before the loud shriek rang out and then the one they had come targeting was standing out in the opening. "This guy stole one of our friends' Pokemon. We're here to take it back, along with some of our other friends' possessions that came with it." He informed the old man that had questioned the current happenings.
When the boy grabbed him and threatened to burn the village, he pulled something from his pocket that Trish had sent with him as a potential bartering tool. It was the Heavy Ball one of the Hexagon Brothers had tried to drop on Darts back in the Under not too long ago. She'd held onto it afterwards.
He didn't know what was in it but he might be able to use it to trade for Blitzle. He hoped. "If that Houndoom is what I think it is, you're a collector. I have something you might be interested in." He tried to offer, holding the ball up where the masked man could see it.

"You can call me a collector...of sorts." The Steel Snatcher replied to Kaya. For some reason the Heavy Ball certainly caught his attention but why it did was another mystery. The seconds his attention was diverted for was just enough to allow Tristen to get Dragonite out before the snatcher could give his stolen hound the command to burn.
"Roar!" The snatcher commanded, the Thunder Wave striking him right after the command, causing him to kneel over, his sleeve covered Snag Machine equipped hand resting on the ground to support him. It was in that moment that the old man was freed, but he seemed too startled to do anything about it and through all this his elderly Pikachu was asleep.
The canine would face the incoming Dragonite and give off a fierce ear ringing Roar, attempt to draw back the Dragonite away with intimidation and fear, its devilish horns giving off a dark and sinister aura while its eyes flickered like embers.

Keiko was the first of the two of us to bring forth a Pokemon, her Natu. "Natalia, teleport that old man to safety!" she demanded. Natalia responded with a coo, flying over to the elderly gentleman before using Teleport to send him, his Pikachu, and herself to the other end of the city. If the Natu was uninterrupted in its attempt, that is.
I then summoned Rala as Keiko let her Audino out of her ball. "Use Disarming Voice," I told Rala, knowing that the Fairy-type move was the only damaging move in Rala's current arsenal that would be effective against the Dark-type.
"Doubleslap, Audino," Keiko said, the Normal-type lunging at the Houndoom to attempt to slap the life out of it.

In the midst of everything, Cera would revert back. The matter at hand was forcing her hand, and it wasn't long before she flung a single Aura Sphere at the roaring Houndoom. "Collect this, then," she'd remark, doing her best to avoid being deterred by the presence of the Houndoom and Steel Snatcher alike. The woman that had followed everyone, still using the blanket as the closest thing to clothing, was at more of a loss. Sending out a Pokemon didn't seem like the best of ideas given the circumstances, and trying to be a distraction wasn't an idea she was particularly fond of. Her bearings far from being recovered, she'd take the cautious route and leave this to the rest for now.

Just as the Dragon Tail didn't make the Houndoom retreat, the Roar didn't make Dragonite back down, although its massive roar was not kosher to anyone's ears. Neither Dragonite's or Tristen's. Dragonite roared back, not to the extent of the Houndoom, but almost as if to challenge the hell hound. The dragon's resolve would fail to matter for the moment as he soon watched other Pokemon start to gang up on the lone Houndoom.
"Ugh..." Tristen said, shaking his head for a second, then looked back towards the Steel Snatcher. "I don't think you're in any place to bargain." Tristen spoke up. "You're paralyzed now, and the Houndoom is probably going to get pounded into a pulp in a minute." The boy then looked around, wondering where Sub was for all of this now. If anything, the boy thought, Sub would have wanted to get some answers. He didn't want to make any calls to let this guy go, nor as much as he wanted to, go to his Blitzle at long last. That said if at the very least, he wanted to get this guy unmasked and relieved of his Snag Machine before he causes any other issues with it. He didn't want anyone else get caught up in the mess like he did back in Pyrite City. However, no one else at the moment seemed to be moving towards the rogue.
Tristen stepped forward, albeit with the side of caution, finally reaching over to try to pull the mask off of the Snatcher to expose who this guy really was.

Ryan held his ground as things began to unfold, but then once everyone jumped in, the channeler did not hesitate. "Bowl it over, Tank! Waterfall!" Ryan orders as he tosses out his pokeball, his Swampert emerging. Tank would barrel forward and crash into the Houndoom with a watery edge to it's body.
Ryan would uncoil a Water Whip from his gourd and lash out with it, trying to grab an arm of the Steel Snatcher to keep him from fleeing.

Leslie would hold tightly onto the Vine Whip as the Blitzle began to Spark and send a current up the vines. Not because she was powering through the pain, but simply from the electricity stiffening her muscles and preventing her from doing anything but hold onto the two strands of plant material. Hopefully someone would show up soon or this might go on until she was knocked out.

The Houndoom growled in pain as the Disarming Voice rung out but alas it stood strong with plenty of fight left in it. As Audino and Tank came at the Houndoom it got into a defensive position and unleashed its vile abilities. "Doooom!" The beast howled into the air as its shadow aura surged around it. The two Pokemon would feel an intense and evil pressure attempting to force them into place, attempting to hold them at bay. It was Shadow Hold but it appeared the two weren't at risk of being infected, probably due to lack of physical contact. That said the Shadow Houndoom wouldn't have a chance to do much else as the Aura Sphere came around and blasted it off the ground.
Sub had indeed been silent and hanging back, observing the Steel Snatcher closely after the Thunder Wave hit. Something about him was bothering him but he couldn't figure out what. The Snagem leader was so completely consumed in his analysis of the snatcher that he had blocked out the outside world completely. It was only when Tristen approached the thief did he snap back to reality. "Tristen no!" Sub shouted, but it was too late.
As Tristen took off the mask he would find underneath a smooth face with two black dots for eyes and a long thin mouth. "Ditto!" Chimed the 'Steel Snatcher' as he grabbed Tristen, 'his' face quickly morphing to resemble Tristen's. This obvious fake would then utilize its mimicked abilities as well as draw from Tristen's electricity to send a powerful Discharge through the surrounding area, which included the Water Whip which threatened to wrap around them both.
Sub didn't have time to react before the Discharge swept over him as well, giving him a good shock.

Cera was about to send a few more Aura Spheres, being hit with the Discharge before she knew it. Instead of a few more attacks being sent off towards the apparent opponent, they'd instead be flung all over the place, threatening to hit anyone. There was no control over the attacks.
The woman would meet a similar fate, being nailed by both the Discharge and one of the Aura Spheres, being knocked unconscious easily. Both were starting to prove their usefulness, apparently.

Leslie would trudge out of the treeline, a pair of vines still strapped around her wrists and dragging something behind her that had a fair amount of weight to it. Growling in frustration as her left eye continued to twitch from the leftover electricity in her system, the hybrid arrived in time to watch as a Discharge washed over the other Snagems and narrowly avoided receiving another charge herself. Leslie would take the moment to stare down the Blitzle still at the end of her vines. She was glad the thing only had so much charge or else this might have gotten real interesting. Unfortunately, with her hands full, Leslie had no way to really try and track down where the real Snatcher had gone.

"Wha...?" Tristen looked over for a second towards Sub, realizing that he was actually here, only to snap his head back towards the supposed Steel Snatcher and realizing a trap had been sprung. The boys eyes widened for a second stepping back, only realizing that he had been grabbed by the imposter. While the surge of electricity was useless to damage Tristen in any particular way, his Lightning Rod ability threw the kid in bit of euphoria for a few seconds, leaving him wide open for just about anything else. "Tingly..."

Ryan let go of his Whip out of pure instinct. What was it with people of late having the ability to counter his Water Whip so violently? But letting go of his whip didn't prevent him from taking the attacks. They drove Ryan back. When Ryan saw the Houndoom use his shadow move, that was enough for him to recall Tank...or at least find out that he couldn't. Damn, it must of been something akin to Mean Look. "Keep your distance, Tank! Rock Slide!" Ryan managed to get out, as he was down on a knee. Tank stomps the ground, fracturing up some rocks, then punches into them, sending the shards flying into the Houndoom.
(Flinch chance! 1-3, Houndoom flinches and needs a double tap to the arm, 4-10, nothing happens and he remains a boss.)

The Houndoom was hit by the Rock Slide, causing it to whine in pain, while it was more than willing to retaliate the dog would look back at the Ditto before acting, as if waiting for instructions.
With the Snagems neutralized for the moment the cloned Tristen would pick up the Shadow Houndoom's Pokeball and recall it, the transforming Pokemon letting out a squeal of a laugh as it bolted off into the forest where it would disappear. They were so close this time.
"Ugh...if there is anything I hate is being shocked." Sub complained as he picked himself off the ground. "Let the Ditto go, wouldn't be worth chasing it anyways." The man commented as he looked into the woods were the Ditto fled, he had a feeling the Steel Snatcher was long gone. When and how he slipped away was yet another mystery as Sub was sure that back at the shrine that was -the- Steel Snatcher, in the flesh.
"I have a few questions for the residents of house eight now." He said, glaring in that direction. Now that things had calmed down Sub took notice of Leslie and a certain Blitzle. "Come down off the magic dragon Tristen and get your Snag Machine ready." The man said as he pointed out Blitzle to Tristen.
Without another word to the boy or anyone else Sub entered house eight, wanting some answers.

Tristen was still in his electricity-induced nirvana until until he finally came to, springing right up as if he woke from a nightmare. The boy looked around, realizing what just happened, but then looked around for what was supposed to be the Steel Snatcher. "What just-huh?"
"Arrrorrrro!" Dragonite called out.
"Sorry...can't help it." He said to his Dragonite. Tristen then looked up towards the man then down the ways towards the Blitzle. "Blitzle..." Tristen moved his pack around to pull out his Snag Machine then strapped it on, readying a Pokeball in it. "Hang on, Blitzle...I'm coming..." He then got up off the ground and made his way for the electric zebra, his Dragonite following close behind.

Leslie watched Tristan as he finally returned to reality. And of course the kid was quick yo look to where the Blitzle had been originally when she had hogtied the thing and dragged it over here rather than where she was right now. Growling indignantly at the Electric hybrid under her breath, Leslie would swing the Blitzle around before sending the Pokemon flying towards its trainer. "Hey! Over here, you blockhead! I had to drag it over here and I ain't dragging it any farther!" Turning away from the now projectile Blitzle, the small Mawile hybrid would stop her way to the old man's house after Sub. She was the intimidating one and she deserved to show that off right now.
