"I....think..." Falco started, briefly elated by the success, but then grounded by the details. "We're here to help. Is someone hurt?" The taste of iron could be the pipes, but it could be something else. "There's like... iron in the water..." he added, making a vague gesture to the group. "I mean... it could be the pipes..." There hadn't been anything... specifically aromatic, but then, if there was anything about the way the shapeshifters smelled, he assumed it would have been hard to identify around the others anyway. "Dude there's people downstairs, we're here to help. Did it bite you or anything?" They seem to have already encountered one unfortunate sample of why 'don't let it bite you' was a thing. The Group Falco is trying out his new super powers.

America doesn't approach the table, but she does kneel down slowly, and offer a smile. Her teeth are very white and very normal. Hands up, showing blunt nails, painted pink. She's ust a regular pretty girl. "Hey hun, if you can move, let's get you downstairs. It's not too safe up here, right now."

At the request of the person under the table Chris stops, staying away. It was easier to comply than to further aggravate the guy and he didn't want to get attacked.
"There's iron in the water?" Chris questions, taking a glance back at the water spilled. "It's from a water cooler, I doubt it's the pipes."
Adding onto America, Chris says "Whatever it was, it's long gone by now. Otherwise we would've seen it when we walked into this room."

"The young man is right. So is the pretty red-head" Jeremiah backed up Falco and, you know, gave America a look. A throwback to their texts. "We already checked part of the hallway and we are getting people downstairs. If you're injured, we can get you help." He moved closer to the table, a few feet away, and crouched down. His arms were folded across his thighs as he crouched. "If there was danger in here," he looked briefly to Chris, "we'd know." Jeremiah definitely would and it was alright for the time being that he could tell. jeremiah mercer: 20 HP

"You're not doing yourself any favors either by shouting like that," Thorne said, coming closer to the table and crouching beside it. "Listen, we need to get you out of here one way or another. We're not leaving you alone while everything is going to s**t outside, alright? A table doesn't exactly stand up to the things roaming around in this place." The iron in the water made little sense, but then again, Thorne had bigger things to concern himself with just then. Like getting this guy or girl out from under the table.

America winked and her smile relaxed a bit at Jeremiah. Good thing, since an iron taste in the water right now brought to mind one alarming possibility.

"Could be blood in the water... Make sure they aren't bitten?" Alg commented aloud, still glancing over the page on the animals. If it was telling him anything, it was possibly the animals they could be dealing with... and if wolverines and bobcats were in the options then they may be in a bit of trouble.
The book, flipped to the back cover, was stamped with the library seal which meant it wasn't something he could take. It was pushed back up into the proper place.
Before he hobbled to the doorway to look over the room.

"I dunno -why- it tastes like iron, it just... there's iron."
That probably did mean someone was hurt though, or there was something -deeply- ******** wrong with the inside of that cooler, which... hey it was college, might be possible... it just didn't seem -plausible- right now.

The person under the table looks at the kneeling group with wide eyes. Their pupils are so dilated you can barely see the pale gray of their irises: they are terrified, every muscle of their body tight. "I don't need help," they say. But at this angle the blood source is visible: an impressive gash across the wrist, so deep it shows bone. They've tied it off with a makeshift tourniquet, which has slowed the bleeding to a trickle.

She hated seeing people suffer, animals too, even fish she'd caught and planned on eating. America bit her lip at the sight of the wound, but couldn't help but feel a little impressed that he'd gotten it wrapped up that we'll on his own, one handed and all. And she says as much, "Looks like you got that taken care of better than we could, hun. If you don't need help, maybe the nurses downstairs could use yours."

sae said i could yoink the phone because she isn't here I'M NOT GODMODDINGShiloh let out a sigh of relief when Thorne finally took the scarf, watching as he carefully wrapped himself up. "I don't need nothin'." yep, still huffy as ever, but definitely relieved. At least until the phone alarm started up.
He totally grabbed onto Thorne's arm, peeking around as he stepped in front of him while still accepting him as a human shield. When nothing lunged at them, he took the opportunity to step away. Someone was crouched under the table? They seemed panicked and hurt, but the others were already moving to talk to them. Shiloh didn't want to crowd them, not while they were so obviously panicked.
At least, he definitely wouldn't want that situation if he was that guy.
Instead he turned his attention to Jamie as he lingered behind also, seemingly engrossed in a phone that definitely wasn't his. "Where'd you get that?" he took a step closer, peeking over his shoulder at the texts, "Wait... can I see this?"
As he gently pulled the phone from Jamie's hands, he quickly glossed over the messages there. They seemed relatively minor, but they confirmed two things: one: the presence of another were and two: the presence of another possible victim. Too bad he didn't recognize the names. Looking at the photo made his stomach turn. "Didn't we go to class with this guy?"
Whatever, that didn't matter right now. "Hey guys?" he was speaking to whoever was listening, "Jamie found this cell phone. I think it belonged to a victim— or one of the rogues, if anyone wants to take a look." he was more than willing to offer it to whoever wanted it. Whether or not the information would be useful was another story, but it was there for the taking.

Lily had been following the group in mute resolution ever since they'd beaten down the other were, staring blankly at her clawed hands. All she could think about was the face of that broken watch, the smell of Thorne's blood, Jamie's frightened speech. If this was the right way to prevent disaster, then why did it feel so awful? The young woman stayed at the edge of the room when they entered the conference room, only vaguely aware of her surroundings once it seemed clear of weres. The hidden survivor drew her interest, but only long enough for her to realize that she would probably be an unwelcome face, should they be able to actually coax the person out. "I'm gonna...step outside," she muttered lowly, standing by the door as she scanned for others like the girl. The last thing she needed was to put somebody they were trying to rescue into a panic with her face. -- HP: 20 Quote: rolling to look for weres

They shook their head, curling in tighter. "Please just <******** go, I don't think I can walk." THE NUMBER IS 15 THE TIME IS 1800 YOUR CIVILIAN IS STILL UNDER THE GOD DAMN TABLE
YOUR NEXT GM POST WILL COME AT 2200 HOURS Rules Amendment As there are ranged weapons present in the game, rules have been created to account for them. As all guns in the game are property of the police department, firing them comes with a consequence of having to explain in a later thread why you fired to your boss. You cannot be damaged by the were, but the gun is a risky proposition. To fire, please roll a 1d10. The damage scale looks like this: 1-4: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to your peer with the lowest health, including you. 5-7: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to the were. 8-10: You fire your gun into the chaos and kill the were. You now have to explain why you wasted all of your deescalation training and killed somebody who was not in their right mind.

"It's fine if you can't walk," Thorne said, dipping his head slowly below the table, placing one hand to the floor. His eyes flashed to the civilian, far calmer than he felt. "I'll carry you if I have to, just let me help you. There are people with medical experience downstairs that can treat that." He paused and added, "maybe there's someone downstairs that you know too. But it's dangerous here, and that wound looks painful, I bet." HP: 16/20 shibrogane dad thorne just wants u to be ok random civ

Shiloh, Jeremiah will be wanting to look at those photos in a little bit. "There's nurses downstairs and others that can help. We can get you down there like Thorne is saying. The hallway to the stairs was cleared - we just came from there - and it'll get you somewhere much safer than here." Jeremiah edged closer to the table but still a good bit away. "It'll be better than being up here." Then he was looking at Algie for a moment, wondering if perhaps ... If they got them out from under the table it would be best to have him ...
