"It's so nice to know the men in this town are finally seeing me for what I really am. I'm gonna remind you that I'm your queen and goddess next time you're a sore s**t about losing a contest with me," Autumn sighed theatrically, batting her eyelashes at Shiloh. She sardonically patted Thorne's head, still smiling and in good spirits with the day.
"Since you asked so nicely, I won't kick this one. I'll save that honor for you," she teased, making her tone soft as to not scare the kid. He was so young, jesus. Autumn secretly prayed he wasn't wrapped up in all this s**t- and yet, knowing this town, he probably was. Poor thing. Barely out of puberty and he was getting thrown into a nasty-a** war.
"I'll be sure to send pictures, definitely!" Autumn replied to Chris, manic smile softening to a more genuine one. Her poisoning herself wasn't nearly as bad as her poison ivy smoothie to her friend, but they'd moved past that s**t together. It was a good feeling. To have someone like Chris to fall back on in all of this s**t.
When Zac came over, Autumn hooted, and (EXCEEDINGLY GENTLY- SHE HAS LEARNED HER LESSON) tapped Thorne in the sides with her heels.
"ONWARD, losers! I have another challenge to whoop your a** in!"

Maeve laughed at Hux, the sound of her voice liquid pleasure and amusement. She tilted her head at him with a smile that seemed pointed, painted on. Standing straight, she let her high heels click off the floor as she went around the booth and picked up two bottles - a white and a red.
"What's your preference?" She asked him, her eyes glittering with mirth.
But then of course, a woman came by at the same time Bentley came by, and she let him pluck one of the bottles from her hands as she flicked it open, eyes trailing up to the disappearing form of the woman who'd left it.
"A moment," she said to Hux with an apologetic smile.
Stepping to the side, she let Bentley take over, boring into the man with wolfish amusement as he talked wines both white and red. Her hands were nimble, and she wrote the note in response with ease.
Later, as though by magic, Leila would find a paper airplane landing gently at her booth. The elegant note was accented by a cute flurry of hearts.

Aleksy was camped out at the study carrels-slash-wine bar, a glass of something sparkly and white in one hand as he watched the crowd. He wasn't there to work; he had enough application traffic and he was quite picky anyway. While a manager would be nice, he wasn't terribly worried about being able to find one when he decided to. No, he was here because Finn was here, Thorne was here, Jeremiah was here, and he didn't want to be alone.
Still, he was content to just watch the crowd. That was quite enough interacting for him today.

Therein was the magic word. Shiloh's entire purpose for this maiden voyage: Free food.
He visibly relaxed when everyone let up, enjoying his personal bubble again. He didn't necessarily mind the touch, only when it caught him off guard. Still, it was sort of a weird feeling... what was the word. Safe? Sort of, kind of. People cared about him, and it was strange. His head still wanted to convince him otherwise—and he believed his head a lot—but there was maybe a fledgling optimism starting to root there. It was nice.
He looked strangely innocent for once.
"Promise?" he totally wasn't staring up all adoringly at Thorne or nothing. At least, if he was it was totally just for the food and nothing else because Christ he was starving. He looked at his phone again.
Text jamie there feeding me free stuff ur missin out btw i kno the othr guy too he gave me the key 2 his house uh. ill tell u about tht later. srry im rambling haha He wasn't sure what to make of Autumn though. Thorne seemed playful enough when he introduced her and addressed her, but when she went to speak... it wasn't that she was inherently annoying, but Shiloh was inherently distrusting, and she was very energetic. At least her voice seemed kind; she didn't seem threatening necessarily, but Shiloh wasn't one to take any chances.
So he tried his best to stand up straight, size her up. He still had to wonder how the hell she had Thorne wrapped around her finger like that. Goddess? Queen? Definitely suspicious. Then again he had already dubbed Thorne a total bleeding heart... either way. There was just something really weird with this picture.
"U-Uh, Sorry Mr. Watts, er—" he looked around, "Chris." god that felt weird. "But if there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that you never turn down free stuff. 'Specially if it's food." he fiddled with his jacket, feeling uncharacteristically bashful. Something about Chris and Thorne hit home in a way he couldn't really put into words yet.
And then there was still Autumn. He'd fight her—hey wait, he knew that other guy! Cool hair, when did they show up? All he could really do was stare at Zac however, wondering if they would be yet another contender for all the free grub that had been promised to him. He'd fight them too. He'd fight ******** anyone.

[Lured in by the mention of shakes at the Sweet Spot booth]"Shakes?" Cataleen repeated, drawing closer. It had been forever since she'd had a shake. Her parents hadn't believed in sweets, so sugary treats were reserved for holidays and birthdays. But she was a grown woman, she could have sweets if she wanted! She still felt a little sheepish, though. "I guess you only have so many supplies on hand here?" she asked. "Do you have strawberry? I'm fine with just vanilla, if you don't!"

"My lips are sealed," Jeremiah assured her with an amused glint to his eyes. "Though for all I know you're one of those rare souls who blossoms under that kind of working condition and can handle it." Preacher was given a nod and then a laugh. "Pretty ones were never my style and, again, I don't pick the officers." Except he likely could if he really made a point of it. Jeremiah shook his head at her. "Get to it then, Preacher, and good luck! Networking in a small town is necessary to life." It was, at this point, sage advice. Of course as she was leaving, Algie was coming back over to him. "Where'd Chris get off to?" he asked, fingers finding his spouse's wrist for a moment. Taller than his lover he was able to spy him not that far away. With what looked like a fairly sizeable gathering of ... Autumn, Thorne, Zac, and a few others. "Want to head over that direction?" Jeremiah had a way of talking to Algie, leaning close and speaking softly to the other man's ear. His hand slid down to hold his lover's.

"I'm the chef, cook, person who makes the food, at Darlene's but I'm pretty sure we had a class together at some point." He was chuckling at Wil, releasing him from his hold once he was stuffing the stress ball into his bad. The blonde was alright to stand on his own at this point, even if he was mostly made of noodle. "He's right. Don't let the others hear that. You'll start a fight." With some of them, at least. Probably not America. The Semblance of Unity XD don't worry about it, they're here for the good times.

"It does leave an impression," Chris laughed, "But I don't blame anyone for getting wrapped up in Autumn. She's a force to be reckoned with."
Chris just gave a wild grin back to Autumn, turning to see Zac join the group. He wasn't surprised, more or less just highly amused. Those pictures were going to be hilarious - he knew for a fact Autumn would deliver. Her instagram was a living testament to the fact she liked to take pictures, if nothing else.
"No, no. That's why everyone's here, free food." Chris knew the college life and knew it well - Shiloh was well ahead of the game of most of the seniors in the high school considering this. He scrambled for a moment looking through his pockets, finding a crumpled piece of paper and a pen. He scrawled down his phone number quickly, then offered it to Shiloh. "Here, if you feel like you need a break or get lost. I know Autumn can get... overwhelming."
He didn't even want to know how Autumn was going to be in a chocolate eating match, honestly. "I'll leave you to free food," He said finally, and with that he disappeared back to find Algie.
It didn't take him long to return, unsurprised to see Jeremiah had joined him. "Sorry about that, I saw one of my students and he looked kind of overwhelmed and lost," He said, running a hand sheepishly through his hair.

"I think... most of us here can confirm that Autumn is one of the most awesome people in town." Zac said quietly, but there was a smile on his face when he said that. Not a teasing one but an honest one. Whatever his reason for the opinion it ran deep and true. He rubbed the back of his neck. "Not sure that translates to watching you guys get sick on CHOCOLATE though." He informed her sternly, as though he were the one between them that was older.

"Rabbit," he said, taking the banner from her and looking around for some tape. He often had people wincing away from him on approach and he often apologized for it, but this woman hadn't dwelled, so he moved on too. "It's not a big deal. I came to ask you stuff anyway, and it'd be rude to just stand here talking while you were jumping around." He smirked, looking less pleased and more like he was about to demand she give him change. The fact that he wasn't looking directly at her when he did so lessened the expression's effect, but something about it still wasn't quite right.
He paused in his search, reaching into his jacket only to pull out a near-perfect square of tape, sticky side eerily pristine for having been in a pocket. Rabbit gave it a long look before securing the banner to the bar with his find.
"There you go."

"Perfect!" A chipper smile crossed Rosie's face as she clapped her hands together, "Thank you! Now, you wanted to ask me something?" Rosie smoothed out her skirt and apron, making sure everything was tucked in and put where it should be. The gentleman wanted to ask something, right? Well, it was the least Rosie could do. Though, she hoped it wasn't for something absurd, like money or the like. He didn't seem like a college student, so perhaps she dodged a bullet there. College kids were frequently low on money and social skills.

"Thank you..." Rosemary said, hardly surprised by the strength of Dawson's hand. "Y-you can call me Rose, if you'd like."
She kept her eyes on Dawson's as they walked, nodding along with every word with interest. A dessert shop, huh? Rose tried to think of the last time she had anything sweet, but that was at least a month ago. When her companion spoke again, she gave him her undivided attention -- until he noticed someone else. Offering Dawson a timid smile, before turning to see who he had spoken to, offering them a small smile as well.

In truth, Juniper would have looked at the sweetshop with longing before moving along to keep herself from caving and purchasing one of the tantalizing deserts that were laid out with such care and eye-catching beauty. Of course, when she was obviously being flagged down by the shop owner, Juniper hesitated as an internal war waged inside her, but it took only a moment before the young woman was walking over.
Stopping in front of the booth, Juniper offered the man and woman there a smile. "Hi there. I won't lie, I was trying to avoid your booth because I have such a horrible sweet tooth." She chuckled and shrugged. "I wish my wallet and waist line could handle such things."
Eyeing the deserts she tried to wage what might be the best to satisfy her sweet tooth and also not hurt her extremely tight budget too badly. "Have anything on the smaller side that won't ruin my girlish figure?"

Chel snorted at Shun's (typical) response, but only set the pamphlet down and stuck out her tongue at him.
She heard a camera click and turned to face the noise. Jack. ******** stalker. She gave him a middle finger; hopefully that would make a nice picture for whatever art gallery he was doing next.
Then turning back to Shun she said, "Jokes aside, you need anythin'? Water or lunch or somethin'? Imagine you guys can't just run off willy nilly."
It was then that she noticed someone staring at her. "What you lookin' at?"

"Vanilla," Mrs. Potosi confirmed from behind the booth. If only because it was easy to make. "Normally would offer banana or something extra like cookie dough chunks, but would be too much for library sensibilities." She sniffed. "There are cookies and such, though, if you want to add flavor to it. One dollar twenty-five for a cup."
"Rosie, ladies," Dawson might have attempted to be smooth with the word, which might have worked better if he had had abs or something, "Ain' life about treatin' yoself every once in a while? Although, uh," he looked to the one who seemed particular about her weight, "we got some granola stuff back at home base, if ya ever decide t'stop by. N' some, uh....key...keylime...kiki..."
"Quinoa?"
"There we go! But yeah, just the tooth-ticklin' stuff fer show here, sawry. It's fair trade!" Dawson added quickly, anticipating the question now that it had been previously asked.
