Sheathing his daggers, he would look the woman who addressed him in the eye and take a stance at attention as he responded. "My apologies, but that statement would be incorrect. I have trained for several years with my master Dalan. My actions, as unnecessary as they may have been for you both, were still the correct course of action to dispatch a karkadruum. By attracting its attention, I made an opening for a killing blow to be made." Feeling Lilian grab a hold of his arm, he would glance at her for a moment, hearing her apologize to no one in particular, most likely about her lack of action. With a sigh, he would relax slightly, looking to the woman once more. "It's not in my nature to stand by when there are Grimm. I've seen enough loss as a result of them, and I don't plan on being a bystander anymore." He would nod once to Yoru, a mixed acknowledgement of his words, and thanks for his praise.
Leo's eyes would then look to the man who had addressed the woman earlier only to be stunned into silence. His old traveling companion and older brother figure was standing there looking at him, with just as socked an expression. Before he could say anything, a ursa would burst out of the clearing. Turning around immediately, he would get ready to draw Deus and engage, only to have Lilian rush forward and kill it with a grand flourish. Seeing her land next to him, he couldn't help but smile at her, impressed with her skill. "You wear confidence well..." He would say softly to her before the woman who had been a hapless passenger on the ursa started to yell at her.
Turning back to the group, he would hear Zack introduce himself in his usual casualness. "Leo Firesoul... I didn't get to say it earlier..." He would say to the trio he talked to moments earlier, looking to Eva, who was currently being leaned on, and nodded once in a neutral greeting. He would look to Zack in time to get smothered by his bear hug, his grip strength still more than enough to strangle an ursa. Patting Zack's back awkwardly, he would nod a thanks to Zack for his praise, only to blush heavily at his lady killer comment. He couldn't look at Lilian out of the sheer fact of embarrassment, not wanting to see her expression in case he was offended by the statement. He would have to get Zack back in their next sparring match, big time.
Looking to Yoru, he would notice the Corgi from earlier, his eye twitching slightly when the dog belched. Picking up his pack, he would slip it back on silently, making sure that his dinner was still secure on the pack before seeing Yoru take the other teachers and slip into the shadows. "Well then... Shall we get going...?" Leo would say with a mixture of uncertainty and determination. Walking to the cave Yoru spoke of, he would quickly craft a torch and light it, waiting by the entrance for the others to gather. "Better not keep them waiting..." He would say with a bit of warm humor in his voice before drawing Umbra and taking his first steps into the cave, ready for any Grimm that may show along the way.
≺The silver haired woman deactivated her Albus Panthera and let Yoru finish the lecture. Nora let out grunt as Zack called her Princess, though she would accept it begrudgingly. "It wasn't quite the entrance I had planned, but it sufficed. I think I'll have to aim bigger next year, though." Vanora joked. She felt her face heat up as he winked at her and mumbled about how shameless Zack was while he introduced himself and hugged a student that he seemed to know. "Forgive my rudeness, I should have introduced myself. Vanora Snaebjörn, at your service."She addressed the remaining group and placed a hand over her chest as she bowed. After a while of listening quietly, she looked to Yoru, nodding in agreement with him. She gave a questionable look when he told them to find their own way back to the academy, though she offered no resistance. This was how initiation often worked. "Try not to be reckless." Was Nora's only advice before she and the other staff members vanished. ≻

Keeping a close eye on the creature, Lilian relaxed her shoulders, and let out a relieved sigh. Her ears perked to the sound of Leo's voice addressing her, and without thinking, she looked to him with a small blush. She enjoyed his praise, as small as it was. She found it rather flattering. Before Lilian could get excited, and flip out at how she acted, and spazz out towards Leo, she was addressed to the rider of the now deceased Grim. Lilian bowed her head, her ears lowering back behind her head, as if a form of a dog with it's tail between its legs. "Y-Yes Ma'am" She responded at first. However, when the woman than praised her, Lilian slowly raised her head to look upon her form, and slightly smiled. It was as if she was anticipating a good pat on the head.
When dismissed, she turned to face Leo, who was currently being bear hugged from the man of earlier. She smiled with a small chuckle. However, when he mentioned how she was close to Leo, and winked at her. Lilian was quick to place her hands to her cheek, and move her gaze elsewhere as she felt herself become flustered with intense blushing. "N-No sir...I-its not like that!.....oh my..." She was at lost for words, but tried to clarify that they had only met, and as the obvious stands, she failed in doing so. Lilian then jumped again to hear Yoru address her. Again, her expression became worried, and her ears slumped down from further scolding.
When when he praised her as well, she straightened her back, and smiled proudly before giving Leo her full attention. It was a way of her saying, look at me now! Not so useless huh? kind of expression. Looking to everyone else, Lilian perked her soft ears once more, and smiled brightly. "I'm Lilian-" She cut herself shoulder and lowered her hand. She was about to mention her twin brother, but decided against it. When everyone began to head out, she noticed that Leo was already making the move. "H-hey!" She hurried over to his side, and gave him a pout once she caught up to him. However, she looked behind her, still no sign of her twin brother....perhaps he already made it to the academy without them? Looking forward to the cave, she followed Leo.

♞ Evangeline "Eva" Angeli ♞
┌
As the Karkadrumm charging at them Eva's mind whirled through angles of attack and good positions for a shot. She hesitated as Hirsch panicked, allowing Lance to haul her to her feet as he stood. It was impossible for her to abandon the others and she was as good as helpless while at their side. Thankfully Yoru and Chrissy handled it before she was really needed to help.
"It's okay Hirsch. You'd probably be best against a Kardadrumm anyway with your agility. They can turn pretty fast but you'd be fine if you could get above it to attack from there." She smiled somewhat shakily as Lance leaned against her back, glancing at the others. "I expect we'll be going soon," she told him, wrapping a hand around one of his arms as he leaned against her.
It looked like there were four instructors out here watching them, which wasn't too surprising. Eva knew most huntsmen and huntresses worked in groups of four so that they could handle multiple types of enemies. At least the instructors admitted when they were beat. Yoru introduced himself as the headmaster and she felt silly for not realizing she should recognize his name. She'd heard of the man but never seen him before. The Shadow Fox was quite famous as well as evasive about appearing in public.
She sighed softly as they were left to get to the school on their own, shaking her head slightly and watching as Lilian and Leo hurried ahead. "Are you both up for walking to the school?" she asked. She was more worried about Lance than Hirsch as the younger boy was rather energetic but she thought it best to ask them both. "We should likely be on guard just in case they're directing us toward a more difficult enemy to show off our skills and to be sure we can cooperate as a team."
𝕸𝔞𝔯𝔱𝔦𝔫 𝕿𝔬𝔭𝔞 ♉ ♉ ♉【Profile Link】♉ ♉ ♉【Semblence: Active/ Not Active】♉ ♉ ♉【Cooldown: 0 Posts】♉ ♉ ♉ Marten was excited for the initiation. He had already been going to school in Atlas, training to be a Huntsman, but he had decided to switch schools after discovering he didn't fit in as much as he would like to at Atlas. With his transfer to Beacon Academy, it meant that he would need to be assigned to a new team. Because of that, Marten hadn't slept well the night before, so he overslept just a bit. He was able to make it to the launch platform just before all of the other students were launched. There are a lot of other faunus here. Maybe I won't be so out of place.
With a few other students in front of him, Marten was able to get a good idea of what he would need to do. He shifts himself around, attaching his gun to the center of his shield and preparing to use the recoil to keep his landing soft. When the pad does finally send him launching, Marten relaxes himself and flies through the air, prepared to start firing his gun to cut through trees.
Marten had always enjoyed nature, feeling calm when he was outside. Atlas didn't have as much forest as Vale did. He was so distracted by his surroundings, that he barely had time to register the tree in front of him. Instead of starting to shoot at the tree, all Marten could do is curl himself up as tightly as possible behind his shield. After doing that he crashed through the tree completely. He continues on his path, crashing through a few other trees. He finally slows enough that he is able to catch himself on a tree branch and then awkwardly climb down the tree.
Once at the base of the trees, Marten adjusts his weapon, Broken Sun, by unseating the gun portion and hanging it on the back of his armor on the specialized hook for the turret. He then splits his shield, the golden weapon living up to it's name, and attaches the guards onto his arms. Marten then turns around, trying to get his bearing straight for where he knows he needs to go. He was still a bit shaky from the landing and the crashing through the trees. It also didn't help that he had no idea where he was in the forest.
Marten snorts to himself and then starts to run through the forest, hoping to find the other students. After a good while of searching, Marten finally hears the sounds of fighting. He runs in the direction of the shooting and fighting. As he runs across a solitary Boarbatusk. Marten grins and reforms Broken Sun into it's shield configuration. He then uses it to block the charge of the grimm, grunting from the strength of the hit. Using a quick flip of his weapon, Marten is able to slide the grimm onto it's side. Marten quickly slams his shield into the stomach of the grimm, using the sharpened edges to cut it until it fades to ash.
Marten pants a few times, catching his breath after the scuffle with the grimm. He stops, listening as carefully as he can for anymore sounds of battle. A few last sounds of fighting ring out and Marten follows them. He finally reaches the other group as Yoru finishes up his speech. "I'm here, I'm here. Sorry I'm late to the party. I got a little lost and turned around in the forest." He jogs over to the others, smiling and rubbing the back of his head. "Name is Marten Topaz. Nice to meet all of you." Stats:
Hirsch relaxed as soon as the battle was over with the Kardadrumm. He visibly slumped in relief. "Oh, god. I thought we were all going to have to fight it. But at least no one got hurt."
Hirsch looked around him as new faces appeared rapidly around him. He frowned, confused on who was who. "Uh...I'm Hirsch Lightfoot. Nice to meet...uh, all of you." he said awkwardly. Yeah. Real awkward.
There was no way in hell he was going to remember everyone's names.
His confusion was distracted by Eva's voice. He turned his attention to her. "Yeah, I'm fine walking. Not like I got hurt or anything." He looked Lance up and down. "Uh...do you need help carrying him? I mean, I'm kinda short, but I can still help with something." he said awkwardly. Why did he have to be so short?!
He grinned, shaking off his insecurity. "Well, we should be able to become full teams once we get to the school, right? Man, I hope I get a partner, too!" He looked over at Lance and Eva. "Then I won't have to feel like a third wheel in the group." he added slyly.

The young student listened in what Eva had to say, and luckily he over heard the teachers as well. It would appear that the okay to leave said area was given. However, lance shot a glance to his other companion, Hirsch, and noticed how he ended his statement as if hinting towards something. Being as lethargic as he is, as well as clueless, he was unsure what the Faunus boy meant. "Third wheel?" He questioned. "Are you suggesting that you are apart of a contraption where a third wheel is not needed?" He added to the confusing question.
Lance removed himself from Eva as he pondered the other option of what Hirsch might have meant. Perhaps in the sense that he and Eva were an item, and it would weird for the little guy to be tagging along. However, he bore no such interest in Eva, he merely saw her as a potential teammate, who has been kind enough to provide her warmth for him to stay alert. Scratching the back of his head, he let out a sigh. "How misinformed you are." Lance walked over to Hirsch, and decided to pick him up under his right arm, and began to walk back over to Eva. "When we get our dorms, i call first dibs." He said rather plainly before continuing on forward. Before Lance entered the cave, he waved his hand back to the new comer who also happened to be a Faunus, perhaps a bull. "Yo...." Was his greeting to the new character before continuing further on.

Eva blushed as Hirsch implied that she and Lance were an item, shaking her head slightly and glancing away as Lance asked what he meant. "I doubt we're a tricycle," she snapped at him, rolling her eyes and sighing as Lance picked up Hirsch. She doubted the Faunus boy appreciated being treated that way and she wasn't sure what to say about it.
As Marten joins their group a bit late for the introductions she nods to him, glancing at the other two in her group before sighing as she realizes they're going to make her be the one to talk to him. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Evangeline. These are Lance and Hirsch. I think Lilian and Leo have already started toward the school. Why don't we catch up with them?" she suggested, offering the blond a shy smile.
Hirsch laughed. "Sorry, sorry!" he said to the two of them, though Lance's response was kinda weird. "I won't assume again. It just seemed-"
Hirsch's sentence stopped as soon as he was picked up. He immediately turned red with anger. He started flailing around, waving his arms and kicking his leg. "Hey!!! What's the big idea?!?!" he snapped as he turned his head around to glare at Lance. "Put me down right now!!!"
See, he absolutely hated being picked up, since it only made him feel that much smaller. And it didn't help that he was picked up by what was basically a giant in comparison to his short stature.
Hirsch growled. "Put me down or I'll make you!!!"

Lance stopped at the entrance of the cave to look back at Eva. She does make a good leader, if only she could see the potential herself. Maybe he could help with boosting her self confidence? Or, perhaps he was reading her wrong? However, his eyes shifted to the other male Faunus, then back at Eva, she sure was quick.
However, Lance snapped out of his daydream, and looked down to the companion he forgot he was carrying. "Oh right...." He said softly to himself. Lance carefully set Hirsch down, while straightening his poster, and scratched the back of his head with his right hand. "Apologies..." He figured he was in the wrong to assume everyone didn't mind being carried. He looked to the short boy once more, and slightly smirked. Cute. He thought to himself before looking back to Eva.
For now, Lance was alert, and had warmth to sustain him for the time being. Should the wind pick back up again, he may need assistance. Honestly, this was becoming such a great bother. "Hirsch.....If Eva doesn't hurry up, then I bestow the responsibility for you to take care of me." He looked back to his Faunus companion with a teasing expression. Lance turned back to face the entrance, and continued forward. "Last one to the Academy has to buy me food." He raised his voice in a lazy expression.
((OOC: I'm assuming we can just exit from here and go to the academy now?))

『Earlier, the tanned boy had arrived just after a few other students, watching them launch into the forest below. He sighed, figuring that he would as well, and a note would confirm his suspicion. He stood on one and waited before the mechanism kicked in and sprung him forward. While he wasn't really the sentimental type, he had to admit the view was beautiful, even as it vanished from his sight upon falling. Quickly, he would draw his swords and plunge them into a tree, slowing his descent significantly. He would hear the sounds of distant fighting and follow them, though he wouldn't actually join the fray. Instead, he sat in the tree above and watched the skirmish, semblance active so that he wouldn't distract the brawlers from their task. However, once they had finished, a woman appeared riding an ursa and, for a moment, he was worried about his cover being blown by the girl that killed it. However, she had appeared not to notice him, and if she did, the bear rider and apparent headmaster didn't give her enough to time to out him because they started to lecture and praise the students before disappearing. Garnet let out a silent breath he was holding. A cave leading back to the school, hm? He nodded and jumped down...
...Only, he misjudged his footing and fell with a startled cry. "Look out!" He called, but it was too late. He landed on the armor-covered blonde guy. His semblance would deactivate then as he rolled off the blonde. Garnet would lay there for a moment, trying regain his composure before he sat up. "Ugh... Sorry to drop in like that..." He groaned, figuring that he might have startled a couple of the other students there, especially the blonde, and humor would hopefully help lower the tension.』
Leo would stop a few feet into the cave when he heard a bit of a commotion outside of the cave's entrance. Looking to Lilian, he would shrug and gesture back to the cave mouth. "No point in going ahead if everyone else is going to be distracted. Pass together or fail alone, that's the general mantra for Huntsmen and Huntresses right?" He would take a few steps before the flames of his torch lit up a carving on the wall, catching Leo's eye. Stopping to take a closer look, he would put the flame closer to the wall, brushing away the dirt and dust that had collected on it from years of disuse. The carving that took shape before him made his heart skip a beat, the emblem on both of his parent's journals, the Firesoul family crest. Taking a deep breath, Leo would touch the crest gently, thanking whichever gods that were out there for this small gift. A single step closer to finding out more about the family he was so violently torn away from. He knew he would have to ask about this the next time he saw the headmaster.
With a fresh determination, he would step outside the cave to see that two additional faunus had appeared, and that the bigger of the two became the unfortunate landing pad for the other. Shaking his head with a sigh, he would clear his throat loud enough to get the attention of all the students present. "Not to be the bearer of bad news all, but we are on a time crunch here... I think it's high time we got moving, we don't know if the tunnel itself has Grimm within it, so the sooner we go, the less likely we'll be held up if a fight does break out." With that, he would wait by the entrance to the cave, crafting additional torches for the other students to use when they go in.
In the back of his mind, he would asses the other students and their situation in general. 'The fact that they were forced to reveal themselves means that the Grimm that had shown up was not within their calculations. From the people gathered here... Ursa would have to be the strongest that they expected us to have to face.' He would conclude silently. 'Not many of them look particularly experienced in combat, probably only two or three fights with a beowulf or two at most. Could be troublesome to pull out my full training during team drills...' He would frown slightly at the thought. Deciding that any further speculation on the subject would do more ill than good, he would pull out his earpiece and play his music to clear his mind, getting lost in the beats and lyrics as he waited for everyone to move into the tunnel.
OOC: I will post again after everyone is in the tunnel, most likely in the campus' courtyard.

Lilian was just happy to be along side Leo, skipping about, and humming her own tune. Yet, she cut herself off to the quickreaction of Leo wanting to head back to the entrance of the cave. The young girl followed him to a wall, where she carefully watched Leo shine with interest in whatever the symbol was. It must have been important to him to have such an expression. Lilian snapped out of it when he continued to the front of the cave. Hurrying close behind him, she peeked her head out to his left side to see two new members. Both being of Faunus race.
So The deer, and herself weren't the only Faunus students huh? Maybe she should join a team full of Faunus, and maybe her brother too! Her excitement dropped as she recalled her twin brother. Where could he have vanished to? Maybe there was something he left behind? Or maybe he's with the teachers by now? Either way, she was sure he would turn up eventually. Though her heart ached to be reunited with her twin, it'll have to wait a bit longer. Lilian put on a cheerful smile and hurried over to the fallen boys, and offered a lending right hand to help the one who was down. "The was quite the fall you took." She teased the Snake Faunus, "I'm Lilian By the way." She smiled with a small blush before noting to her companion behind her. "The guy with the torches is Leo..." She then looked to the other group with her smile still as kind. "I don't know if they mentioned their names already to you- But the other girl over there is Eva, the lazy giant is Lance, and the last one is Hirsch." Lilian looked back to the other two. "We should hurry though, the sun is starting to go down...." Lilian trailed off as she looked to the Snake Faunus, and couldn't help but slowly be entranced by his eyes alone. She knew snakes in general had mesmerizing gazes, but to actually see it up close....

𝕸𝔞𝔯𝔱𝔦𝔫 𝕿𝔬𝔭𝔞 ♉ ♉ ♉【Profile Link】♉ ♉ ♉【Semblence: Active/ Not Active】♉ ♉ ♉【Cooldown: 0 Posts】♉ ♉ ♉ Marten looked around at the others, instantly noting the few other faunus again. He gave everyone a small wave as he shifted Golden Sun over to his left arm to leave his right arm free. He listened as the others all introduced themselves. Marten was pretty good with names, so he didn't have any fear of forgetting names. He was only slightly worried about how well he would fit in with the rest of the students in the teams. Just looking at the, Marten knew that they were more fond of movement and freedom when fighting. Marten specialized in control and defense as opposed to the actual attack that the others did. He gave a small shrug to himself as everyone started to move out. Sensing no immediate threat, Marten reaches into his back and pulls out a handful of rock candy. Following the others toward the mouth of the cave, Marten only had a small moment of hesitation. He hadn't been a big fan of tight spaces or not being able to move, but this didn't seem so bad.
As Marten was walking toward the mouth of the cave with the others, as well as tossing the candy into his mouth, a sudden yelp from above heralded the arrival of a new student. Without much time to react, Marten was flattened as the snake faunus landed on his back. A small grunt escapes his lips, along with the candy he had been going to eat. Marten couldn't help but laugh a bit at the other boys humor though. "Make yourself comfortable." Marten waited just a moment for the boy to move, and not feeling him do it as quick as he should have, he stood up on his own. This results in knocking Garnet off. Once Marten is on his feet he offers a hand to the boy. "Lilian didn't introduce me, I'll do it myself. My name is Marten Topaz. Nice to meet you." As he talked he gave Lilian a quick wink, hoping she understood that he didn't mean anything by what could have been seen as a mean comment.
With that Marten walks toward the cave, following Leo and the others. He also grabs another handful of candy, looking around carefully before he pops it into his mouth. He holds up the bag for a moment, looking around. "Anybody want some candy or something while we walk. Don't know about you all but I'm a bit hungry." Stats:
Hirsch glared at Lance as he was set down onto his feet again. He snarled up at him menacingly. Well, as menacingly as someone nearly an entire foot shorter could look. "I will drop-kick you to the ground if you ever do that to me again." he hissed up at Lance.
He huffed and crossed his arms, pissed. He didn't have time to deal with this guy! Instead of responding to Lance's teasing, he turned his back angrily at him. It takes him a while to cool down his temper, not to mention his embarrassment. He hated being picked up like that!
