Aren couldn't imagine wanting to actually come to school. He mostly wanted to get out of it. "I guess, but to me this place is so restricting, I traveled more when I wasn't here.Okay a fun question now? If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?" He loved in depth conversations but sometimes the best way to get to know someone was just to ask the silly little things.
"That is a hard one, because there as so many good foods to try," And there were! She couldn't simply just pick one food for the rest of time. Could she just say anything she found delicious? Nah, that wouldn't be an acceptable answer ", In all honest, I feel I couldn't pick one. Since after a while, even if I did like that food, I would get bored of it and it would be very bland. Maybe some sort of food that could get in all my nutritional needs?"
As she waited for the Goblin's response, Raleka couldn't help but feel like the candy floss, was, well, a little too sweet. Perhaps some cinnamon candy would be good to even out the taste. At this point, she was feeling a little bit like a glutton, but the hybrid reached back out into the bowl of candies and grabbed a dark red one. She must look ridiculous, stuffing her face with all of this sugar, and to be fair she was starting to feel a bit sick. She popped the dark red candy between her lips, and grimaced. Yes, the candy was a spicy cinnamon. No, Raleka did not like it any more because it was balancing the oversaturation of sweet in her mouth.

. “I’m sure it will be alright after all study groups provide interaction and they will find others who have similar interests and make friendships that way.” She blinked when he said atrocious and giggled when he fixed it. “No if the notes made you feel more confident than they were worth it.” And it was even if they couldn’t read them. She thought it was a good idea had she done so on her other date perhaps things would have been a bit different. Moving on to the topic of real food she thought about it for a moment. She was an alright cook but couldn’t manage anything to hard and didn’t want Blythe to have to cook it all himself since he seemed to lean toward the extravagant side of things. “Well let’s try to make something together and if it fails we’ll toss it and head to the sub shop.” She gave him a wink. “This way it won’t matter if neither of us is a good cook we still get food.” She didn’t know how comfortable Blythe was with the idea of bringing Valentine along since while they were getting along well this was still their first meeting so bringing their younger sibling along for their first real date might make them uncomfortable. Still Eve wouldn’t object if they asked it after all if she had siblings she wouldn’t wish to leave them home alone. Setting aside the thought and sure she was over complicating things Eve pulled back to focus. “I’m rather surprised how busy this event is given the jubilee earlier. I thought everyone would be all tired out but I suppose I was wrong.” She cast a quick glance around the room not sure if this was about normal size for an event like this. Looking back to Blythe she smiled and looked for a napkin or something to write on. “Here I’m writing down my dorm number so that we can meet at my place to try and cook. My phone number is on here as well.”

XD Blythe is so adorable and sweet. It's odd to see Eve being the open and chatty one but Blythe brought that out in her and I love it. Thank you.
Well, Kimi hadn't really been up to much of anything yet. So she wasn't really having all that much fun. And with Seray around, even if she tried to have fun she was worried Seray might not and vice-versa. She briefly tried picturing herself in a relationship with the Litch that sat across form her and a little smile twitching at the corner of her mouth. That was a rather amusing scenario. She had a feeling they'd both drive each other crazy.
"I guess I wouldn't mind playing some games. Might turn out to be fun." She shrugged her shoulders a little bit. "I will say I'm definitely trying to get a better understanding of many of you Nightmares. Some of you all are like night and day to my fellow Fey and Dryads. I haven't really had too many Goblin or Elf friends myself to know. But I know enough about them to not feel lost in their conversations." She had transferred to the school in Below so that she could understand the races there and they way they lived. And yet she'd really only managed to make one close friend and they were a Fey like herself. What a total failure so far.

"Oh yes! Valentein loves studying so they are bound to meet people that way!" Blythe nodded confidently. Usually Blythe would have been embarrassed by someone laughing at their mistake, but hearing Eve's laugh was welcoming, it meant she was having a good time and Blythe didn't mind it. "I suppose you're right. It's done more good than bad it seems!" Blythe was all smiles, they couldn't remember the last time they had smiled this much. "That is a fantastic idea! Another brilliant plan you've come up with." Blythe was excited to try to make food with Eve, already making a mental note to check out a cook book from the library later so they can decide on a recipe to make. Biting their lip, they almost couldn't contain their excitement. Blythe then looked around as Eve mentioned how big the event had become. They had been so focused on her, that they hadn't really noticed how many people had arrived. "I spent most of my time alone with Valentein growing up, so anything more than a few people seems like a lot to me. I mean, I was able to see other family members, but not many around my age." Blythe seemed to speak as though fact, rather than emotionally about it. The fact that Blythe hadn't spent much time around others didn't exactly seem to bother them. Eve had then began to write down her dorm number and phone number. Blythe grabbed a napkin as well and wrote down their dorm number. "I only know my dorm number right now. Valentein said they would go with me to get a cell phone since we will need them now. I will give you my number once I get it!" Blythe gave a thumbs up and a corny grin. Blythe felt warm inside and their heart was beating fast. They didn't understand what this feeling was since they had never experienced it before. Maybe this was the thing that Valentein had talked about. Blythe figured they would ask about it when they next saw them.

After the pm, I started crying because they were so adorable ; u ; I'm still squealing about it now omg
Eve didn’t think she had ever been complimented so much in all her life. It was sweet and nice and made her feel like all the fluffbugs in her chest would going to make her explode or melt. She really wasn’t certain which at the moment. Still she was going to have to make sure she picked up some extra cooking supplies later so that she would have enough to make a meal that wasn’t a large bowl of instant noodles or quick and easy sandwiches. “So what kind of foods do you like to eat?” Eve knew that cooking was an art but it was one she excelled in. Cookies were simple enough, cakes were alright, but she did simple foods compared to those fancy recipes that seemed to call for tools that looked like torture devices rather than cooking implements.
Eve was shocked to hear that Blythe didn’t have many others they interacted with. She supposed it would explain how they were so innocent despite being a junior and yet it also made her worry for them just a bit. Though she never made many friends Even she had a few even if they were mostly library staff. “mm are you comfortable around others or do crowds make you a bit anxious?” She would plan dates based on what Blythe was more comfortable with since he wasn’t used to dating either so added stress wouldn’t bode well for either of them. It felt a little strange to be the one taking charge of things since normally Eve was like a wallpaper flower when it came to things, but there was an innocence in Blythe that she felt she wanted to protect and help. She wondered if Verve had felt like this trying to teach her to dance. It hadn’t gone all that well but still the chimera had been very nice. Giving Blythe a thumbs up she nodded. “Ok. Cell phones are a good idea because then Valentine would be able to text you or call if they need you.” And Eve had discovered the joy of being able to call a store order a book and then pick it up five minutes after opening when it came in to avoid people. She wasn’t going to share that though, well at least not yet.

The question that Eve asked was a surprisingly difficult one for Blythe to answer. They sat quietly in thought for more than a minute before trying to gather forth some kind of explanation for their silence. "I don't exactly know what kind of food I like... Our mother used to cook for us very often since our mom wasn't around all that much but I don't know the names of anything she made. My favorite thing she made us was some kind of dish with curly noodles and beef in a sauce. I'm sorry that I don't know the name of it. Though, I don't have any foods I dislike I don't think. So I like all kinds of food!" Blythe laughed with a bit of nervousness. "I can ask Valentien what mother made us if you'd like me to find out. I'm sure they would know!" Blythe offered as they felt bad that they couldn't adequately answer the question.
"Oh no! I'm alright in crowds! I like to be around people.... or at least I like the idea of being around people. I hate to be by myself. It feels weird. I don't feel anxious around other people, just.. Excited!" they explained. It was very nice that she had seemed concerned about how they felt in social situations. "But I mean, I am also okay if it is just you and me. That is perfectly okay too!" Blythe was smiling yet again, their cheeks were starting to hurt but it felt good. "I'm sure Valentein would be fine, they are super independent! In fact, they had said it's mostly in case I get lost or something." Blythe laughed again. "Though, it will be nice to have one so that I can talk to people that I make friends with. Makes planning easier!" They nodded, eager to finally have a phone of their own to use. Before, Blythe and Valentein had shared a phone that was only really used to talk to other family members. They felt like a true individual to be able to obtain their own.
Eve blinked thinking it could anything from ramen to a twisted alteration of chicken noodle soup so she wasn’t going to guess. “Well that’s ok if you don’t know right off hand, after all sometimes we are so used to something that we take it for granted. Still if you like noodles and the taste of beef I bet you would like savory food like steak, compared to spicy foods like curry or sweet foods like honey glazed ham.” The plush in her arms was squished as she squeezed it thinking what food she would have to pick up and what things the dorm kitchenette had in it. “I like savory things as well. Oh and fruity things, sweet like candy is pretty good but it’s not the same as that fruity tang you get when you bite into a peach or eat a blueberry.”
Eve chuckled she didn’t mind crowds but too many people made her want to stay to the edge of things. Festivals could either be fun or a challenge of willpower. Still it was nice that Blythe didn’t mind things because then she wouldn’t have to really worry too much and could do what she felt comfortable with. “That’s good. Well not good that you don’t feel alright to be by yourself, but that being ok in any sized crowd even if it’s just one other person is comfortable to you.” She had never considered that being alone would be uncomfortable at all. She didn’t know all that much about Blythe’s past though and that could be something if they always their sibling with them or had a large household. Nodding she dug in her pocket for a moment before pulling out her simple phone. “This might not be as fancy as the other phones with all the enchantments on them but I am still surprised some days on how much I actually do use this for making lists and planning.” It was an older model phone that wouldn’t leave anyone breathless but it did what she needed it to do. She held it out for Blythe to investigate if they wanted to. After all it was easy to get swayed in a store and pick out a more expensive phone if you didn't know what you wanted or needed. Though if Valentin was going she supposed it would be ok. Blythe's sibling sounded really grounded.
Blythe nodded. "You sound like you know a lot about food! I don't think we had a lot of fruit but I remember we have had some that was very sweet like candy. I like that too!" Blythe had looked around again to see the crowd of people. Yeah, they didn't feel anxious or nervous. It felt right for some reason. Valentein had always said Blythe shined in social situations. "It's okay if I'm alone I suppose. I just don't prefer it. It feels weird. Even when there was no one home, I was at least always with Valentein or Mother." Blythe nodded along. Eve had pulled out her phone to show Blythe and their face lit up. "Valentein and I had a phone similar to this that we shared! We only really talked to other distant family members on it but it is familiar none-the-less. I want to ask Valentein to help me obtain one of these cell phones." Blythe smiled, looking it over for a few minutes then handing it back over to her.
Blythe fidgeted slightly, they knew from their research that the point of speed dating was to meet multiple people until you found a match to contact with at a later point, but Blythe felt they found their match already and was reluctant to the idea of talking to anyone else at the moment. Blythe wondered how long they could talk to Eve before they were forced to change partners, or the event ended, or Eve had to go. All of those things made Blythe uncomfortable. They were having a good time and hated the idea that it would have to end for a time. Though, they shook the thought for now and tried to focus on their date where they would cook together. "What kind of savory food should we make together?" Blythe was looking very hopeful and excited again as they subconsciously leaned a little forward to listen for Eve's response, completely engaged in her words.

..
Eve was surprised. She didn’t think she knew any more about food then the average nightmare who at least attempted to make a meal every now and then. She nodded to his preference of social places rather than being alone. She understood it in a way even if she liked to be alone at times, even if it was just one other person she could still feel less stressed and relax more. It was like that when she was working on an art piece or reading. The rest of the world just fell away and she could lose herself for hours at a time. For some people time was that relaxing environment. Taking her phone back she slid it back into her pocket. “Well there are tons of phones out there so I hope you find a model you like.”
Eve was certain that she had heard the ding of the switch bell some time ago but Blythe hadn’t gotten up to leave or had missed that the bell had gone off so Eve didn’t worry over it. After all she was having a good time and it seemed Blythe was as well given the excited feeling that rolled off them. It was enough to make Eve feel comfortable and a bit jittery herself. At his question she flipped through the simple things she knew about. Hamburgers? A safe bet but really simple. Meatloaf? The last time she’d attempted meatloaf it looked like it was going to get up an attack her so that was out. Empadas might be a good way to go. They involved a bit of baking but were like a portable meat pie. It took a bit of work to make but might be fun to do with someone else. “How about beef empadas? It’s like a little meat pie. This way we can add other things to it if you feel like being adventurous. I know how to make a few other things if you don't like the sound of those.”
Blythe shakily exhaled, unable to contain the excitement within them. "Yes!!! That sounds delicious!" They didn't even hear the other option to do something else as he half-slammed his hands on the table, coming to a stand suddenly. "I should buy beef for it!" They were running in place for moment before they took off for the door. After another moment they ran back in, coming back to Eve. "I don't have money. I need to find Valentein. They have my money." Blythe looked down to table, noticing they had left the napkin with her number and dorm room on it. Picking up, they laughed nervously then returned their gaze to Eve. "I got too excited. Sorry." After a moment of thought. "I don't want to go. But now that I thought about it, I'm really worried about Val. I should really make sure they are doing okay. It's their first day too!" Blythe smiled at Eve, then looked down at their hand and smiled even wider. "Before I leave, I just want you to know.. I never liked raisins, but I'm really beginning to like dates." Blythe tried not to laugh at their own joke but busted out laughing anyway so much their eyes were watering. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself.."
