Rather than reply, he continued to glare, taking a long and careful drink from his mug. Hiding candy from him in his own apartment... the nerve. Nerve! Finally, after some silence; "Y'er a dingbat."

Chance smiled into his sip of hot chocolate.
"Thank you," he said, and prodded Otto with his toes. "So other than the freezing aspect of it all...the snow was pretty fun, I've gotta say."

"It was more fun cause you got to jump out a window." He insisted, poking him back with his own foot. "I'm full of great ideas."

"You're certainly full of something, that's for sure," said Chance cheerfully, setting his now empty mug down on the coffee table and curling up on the couch. His sleeves were too long; he tugged them down over his hands and rested them against his chest, warm and comfortable as he prodded Otto with his toes again.
"Okay, Mr. ' I'm Full of Great Ideas,' - give me an example."

"Nuh-uh. My knowledge don't come for free." He remarked with an arrogant tilt of his head, leaning his nearly empty mug on his chest, his hands lazily wrapped around it. "Penny for yer thoughts, ten bucks for one of my ideas."

Otto was given a mock outraged look.
"Why are my thoughts only one cent?" Chance said indignantly. "Come on, they've gotta be worth at least like, a dollar. I am pretty smart, you know, I mean, sort of. In certain areas, maybe, but come on, a penny?"

"Nah, thoughts are only a dollar when yer a goner. That's when they're in like.. high demand. Economics and s**t." Now who was teaching Otto such complicated facts? Was he reading again? Someone ought to mind what that boy reads... Or more along the lines of what music he listened to. Otto nodded in affirmation again, just to be a pest. " One penny. You got too many, man. Ain't worth s**t if it's buckets full of thoughts." He furrowed his brows, realizing he'd made himself seem stupid by proclaiming his Ideas were worth ten dollars. Surely that meant he had so few of them they were rare... but still in demand! Clearly that made it all right. He huffed in indignation. Thinking too much was going to give him a headache.. Maybe he ought to return to being stupid and unoriginal, like a proper Sun grunt should be.

Chance rolled his eyes. "Well since I don't plan on being a goner anytime soon, guess I'd better just stick to the whole one penny thing. But I suppose you're right," he added, lips quirking upwards. "I do tend to have too many thoughts in my head."
He gave Otto a scrutinizing look, and then shifted, Chance easing himself up and over to him. He draped his arms over Otto's legs and propped his chin up on them, smiling serenely.
"What are you thinking about now? You're making that face."

Otto raised a brow in Chance's direction, watching the man lounge leisurely over his legs. "I have a thinking face?" He asked, rather than answered.

Chance let out a small snort.
"Yes," he said. "And a disgruntled face. And a 'Chance-you're-being-an-idiot' face. I see that one a lot," he added with a grin."

Otto smirked. He was fairly sure he'd end up getting his face stuck one day in a permanent 'Chance-you're-being-an-idiot' face, forever.
"It was nuthin'." He assured him with a small wave of his free hand. "Just thinkin'. Nuthing all that important."

"Such a mysterious man," he teased with a little grin.

Otto reached over to the coffee table to set down his drink before leaning close to the draped form of Chance.
"Yer an idiot."
He held out a hand.
"That'll be Ten Bucks."
