"Snowball down the scarf," Micah explained, and folded his arms. He shook his head to the question. "Nah. I don't feel like getting all damp and cold." He stayed like that for a moment, then heaved a deep sigh and offered his hand for assistance in getting up.

Horace only hesitated a second before pulling both hands out of his shirt. His cold fingers wrapped around Micah's and he yanked.

Micah realized his mistake a fraction of a second too late. He sputtered, tried to yank his trapped hand back, flailed, and lost his balance, toppling slowly over into the snowbank next to Horace with a yell. The snow was, as he'd known it would be, cold, wet, and uncomfortable, and he scrambled up covered in snow and glaring narrowly. "It got all over my face," he grumbled.

Lydia's eyes didn't miss much (especially when she actually remembered to put her glasses on), and before either of them replied to her question, she was scrambling up into a seated position, pulling a notebook and pen from somewhere on her person, flipping quickly to a new page and beginning to write.

"Marvelous!" She beamed down to them both, clearly writing much more than just their names as her pen flew along the page.

"And what is the nature of your relationship to one another?"

She did not offer them a hand up, and had completely forgotten to give them her name.

She was breathing white smokes, which she used to have competition with her sisters as weather went cold, the winner'd be granted a small favour from the losers. She smiled at the stranger having a concerned look on his face, now acknowledged as Chris, "Yup, getting more clothes is a wise decision, you never know where you will be sent for external missions, Russia, Australia, Amazon, deserts, etc. It'll be better if you're well prepared in advance."

Shu nodded to herself and shortly noticed he was shivering, therefore she unwrapped one of her long scarf and wanted to hang around his neck. She was upset to find their height difference make it impossible even she was tipping her toes and taller than usual with her platform.

The beast laughed again mercilessly, "You can have it, I have dark hair to keep my neck warm. It wold be bad if you get sick, especially when you've duties the next day. Anyway, I'm not used to this cold, I lived in sub-tropical region previously." As she spoke, she paused to sniff, it had implied the reason why she had bundled up.

Without one scarf, there were still two or three around her small neck, the fluffy earmuffs covering her ears, her cheeks were a bit of pink and she rubbed her pink gloved hands unconsciously. In general, she looked cozy. The small actions were merely nervous body reactions for her adaptation to the weather.

As if on cue, Stormy peeled away from her previous hiding spot and stood there quite innocently in the open: too far away from a suitable obstacle to duck behind and not even a snowball in hand, only her many layers of clothes as protection. She tilted her head slightly, watching them with guileless, curious eyes.

Was she really offering them a free target...?

Dawson scooped out more snow than was necessary, but hey--at least it was melting some of it away. "Dawson," he chirped when they did introductions, fixing his cap with a smile. "But ain' no thang, honey, don' worry about it. We been busy tryna clear Satan's dander here anyway."

But hey, he was always on for camaraderie and huddling up with new friends! And speaking of.

He held his shield out so they could warm themselves off Syn's radiating heat. Hopefully Shu hadn't gotten her clothes wet...Hell, he knew Chris was soggy enough judging by that handshake earlier.

"Need us t'escort you inside?" he suggested. "Maybe they got hot cocoa r' somethin'."

"Here I thought Canadians loved the stuff," Jack said with a grin.

As he approached, he dug into his pockets for his phone and began to take a few photos, not just of Finn's disarray but the pissed message as well to send to Chel later. "My excuse was self-defense. Don't be Scroogey." Ironic, sure, but something about it finally being freezing on the island put Jack in a good mood. "Besides, there's plenty of targets to misappropriate that temper on."

"I'd remember a face like that if we had," Nora purred from over the lip of her mug, her lips curling up at the sight of that blush. "Nora Ravensgrove. Don't know about you, but all the sudden snow, while romantic in certain lights, has put a small damper in my mood. Even if it does mean I can finally pull out the winter collection."

Not that many would be noticing, sadly. Most were too busy engaging in snowball fights; one in particular she glanced at.

All she suggested couldn't sound more amazing, made it worthwhile to deal with all the snow. "Totally down for hot cocoa later," Milo grinned, squeezing her hand one more time. "Maybe I could rig up a make shift kotatsu too, we'll be all toasty warm." Yes, this all sounded like an excellent plan.

The pair would find themselves soon enough up one of the hills - thankfully not like ridiculously high, not that he had a thing against heights but given this was his first time he didn't want to see either of them seriously injured or something. The brunet plopped the sled down on the bank of snow. "I promised you I would, ya? When it gets a little warmer." They had made that deal during one of the many hospital trips, right?

Milo then paused and stared down at the sled. "Uh, you wanna go in front or should I?" Was it better for the smaller person to be in front? That's how it worked in surfing, but was it better the other way around?

Gale made a sound like a flustered cat and batted at Leon to get away from him, half rolling in the snow to sit up and shake his head furiously to get the snow off of his head. His hat had fallen off, and he grappled for it, jamming the wool cap back down over his ears and glowering at Leon beside him.

"Stop that."

He staggered to his feet, Gale stretching out a hand to Bix to help him up, and then turned to the side, catching sight of the familiar pink hair he'd seen just before he'd been nailed in the face. Sure enough, his suspicions about who it had been were confirmed: Stormy stood there, looking as doe-eyed and innocent as he'd ever seen her.

A little smile tugged at the corners of his lips, and Gale crouched, gloved hands carefully packing snow together. He straightened, looking quite calm -

- and then pelted the snowball towards his girlfriend.

"Forgiven," he said, teetering between grinning at Diana's manipulative pout and getting all stoic at Hole Digger. Max took his time finding his feet, all the while trying to keep the odd woman in sight.

"You can put down 'friends'," he offered. "We came from Delta. With the undying."

"Oh yes, it's common knowledge that we of the land of moose and maple syrup often enjoy a good snow cleanse." Finn retorted, dryly, while unscrewing the cap on his flask.

A long swig was taken, and then, despite his earlier adamant refusal to share, he held it out towards Jack anyways.

"Right, well, maybe later. Where's your Mrs. Hawthorn this fine day?"

Mikael gave Rodney a rather anxious look. “I know him.” he said uncertainly. “Sort of. I think he knows father better than he knows me, we sometimes get into arguments.” Consiprationally he lowered his voice and cupped a hand to his mouth. “He is very mean.” he said in a whisper.
“I don’t think he should join in, he ruined my last sandcastle.”

He narrowed his blue eyes at the other man who had lowered the snowball and set down his own. “He just has no ..impulse? Impulse control. I think that is the word anyway. He is acting quickly without a thought.”

Lawrence meanwhile nodded subtly. “An understatement. He is always angry at me, always. And I have been nothing but nice to him. It is inexplicable.” He did not seem averse to the attention from the other man, nor the warmth and closed his eyes in a gesture not dissimilar from a contented feline.

“I assume the people who are watching out for him are us.” It was an awful thought, to be burdened with the care of the young man again, but it was that or let him be fostered by the clone who hated him. He had to win that particular war and Mikael would be useful one day, even if it was as nothing more than a pretty little meat shield.

“Not that we need to put too much effort into that.”

When he opened his eyes again it was to watch Horace practically rolling around in the snow with another man, one he has never met, with both of them acting like foolish children and no doubt getting very damp and ruffled.

He turned his face against the warmth of Melvin and exhaled. “One would hardly know it was cold out.”

This further secreted Rodney's mental image of Horace as a tragic and battle-hardened warrior.

"Well, maybe...since he's so used to battle, maybe when he's not out in the field he forgets how to switch off."

He looked over to Horace anxiously, to find him wrestling in the snow.

"Art can be a good outlet. But it's your castle, you must know best how to keep peace with the land's subjects." Rodney attended to the wounded gargoyle, reinstating a chunk of snow and pecking out its hunched shape carefully.
