"Mm, I'll remember that for the anniversary."
The so-called kiss became a knock of heads and some laughter as each sought to take the "lead" so to speak (Jack being the groom, Chel having called him wifey on a number of occasions), but eventually they came to an enthusiastic accord as he took the opportunity to dip her low.
Owain cheered and clapped, loud and slow. "Thank you, dear sir, thank you, thank you!"

Thank god there was at least one part of this ceremony she felt she had completely mastered and tuned. Talking in front of others was hard, kissing was a walk in the park.
The dip was unexpected though and Chel immediately became panicked by the loss of gravity. "Don't ******** drop me Hawthorn I swear f'you drop me-"
But he didn't and he never would without good reason which was all you could really hope for in a person. With Owain blubbering and all of her friends gathered around her, she had to agree with Owain- today was a good day.
Once righted she turned to everyone because she was certain both Jack and Jason were going to fall apart at any moment. "Uhhh ... okay! This s**t's done. Food and booze in the kitchen and you guys can party as long as y'want here. Y'can take stuff on the way out too." She was certain that most of them would have to return to duties shortly (life on Deus was not something that allowed long, luxurious breaks) but she at least wanted to see them fed before then. "Oh s**t and there's tupperware thingies f'you wanna take some with you."
Then she turned back to Jack and began a short discussion while gesturing to the tree behind them.Quote: Thus concludes the ceremony! Like Chel said you guys are free to rp at length/at leisure and you can respond to stuff from before too. The food is spicy southern cuisine (feel free to make it up) and your gift is free food. Free food. There's also copious amounts of alcohol woo. Thank you!!

Due Payment
At some point after Chel slapped $100 in Jason's hand because he deserved it.
(She also stole a kiss, but for Solia's sake and the particular day it was, it was only on the cheek).

What happens when you put Dawson in a party with alcohol and access to a stereo system? Those who knew him even a little bit would know the inevitable conclusion that would come out, and they could thank whatever god they wanted that it took him a little longer than usual to get to that point.
"But don' tell my heart / My achy breaky heart / I jus' don' thank he'd unnerstand~"
Dawson had brought his own iPod of course, because naturally he had an ever evolving list of songs for karaoke. God help them all as he belted out the Billy Ray Cyrus hit against his glass.
"An' if you tell my heart / My achy breaky heart / He might blow up n' kill this man~"

On Fire
Free food meant he'd be sticking around for a bit longer, so after all the formalities of the ceremony (a nice, simple one that brought a grin mostly of amusement to his face given he didn't think Chel had it in her to say that kinda stuff) he headed straight for the kitchen, nabbed himself a plate with a little bit of everything and some booze and started digging in.
Rhys wasn't entirely sure what he was eating, but he was almost certain that it'd be better than whatever they served in the cafeteria so he thought all of it was worth trying. It went well with the alcohol, and the first few bites were good, really. Unfortunately there was that one dish, just the one--and he didn't actually notice which one since two or three of the things he got kind of blended together on his plate--that was way too spicy. Way. Too. Spicy.
For him, anyway.
So there he stood, nearly in tears as he tried his damnedest to get through just the single bite.

Jack had eventually retired to the couch which meant Chel had retired to sitting on top of him on the couch. From over his shoulder she could see Rhys looking like he was about to cry in the corner of the kitchen.
"You gonna make it buddy?"

Chris had this sense.
It was like a Dawson-is-about-to-do-something-really-awful sense. He began to scan the crowd for his friend, but then it happened.
But don' tell my heart / My achy breaky heart / I jus' don' thank he'd unnerstand~
Chris might have elbowed more than one guest in his mad dash to the stage. Did his feet his the floor? Probably not. He was like an angel, walking on air to stop a pathetic human from embarrassing himself further.
He hooked an arm around Dawson's neck and bodily moved him away from the stereo. "That's enough of that!" He yelled, fumbling for a different song. How could one song be so awful?

He was hoping no one was watching, so when the question floated into his ear he glanced over and swallowed the bite with a rather pained expression.
"I'll manage," he said with a little cough and a slightly scratchier voice than usual. And stubbornly, he took another bite to prove it.

"F'you choke m'not taken you to the infirmary," she said with a laugh, waving him over.
Probably so she could weasel his present out of him. Weddings were about free stuff, right?

He took the wave as an offer to join her, so he downed the bite with some booze right quick, grabbed another just nearby before taking up some space on the chair across from her.
"Gee, thanks," he said as he took yet another stubborn bite. He was probably turning pretty red in the face by then, but that didn't stop him from wanting to save face. "So what'cha need me for? I was sufferin' pretty well on my own over there."

ObligatoryChris just saved Dawson from being immediately kicked out of the wedding by the groom, though he wasn't aware of the danger. He was too busy just laughing at being wrestled away, as well as Chris' dramatic entrance in general. "Someone fussy," he snickered as he drank some more beer. (Attempting not to make a mess, given the bodily way he was being hustled out.) Dawson's cheeks were just a little darker than usual. "You not a fan?"

AltarThe vows came sooner than they had at the handful of weddings he'd attended in the past, and although Max remained comfortably seated with no indication that he thought more or less of this set of words than he had of any of the others, inside he was captivated. Left to himself for the most part so far, he had passively taken in the hunters' warnings and stories like a child at bedtime. These two... they spoke as if they'd been through war, their relationship forged and tempered by experiences that no one should have to live through. You've felt that too. A little. Caper's voice was the most serious he had ever heard it. Max swallowed. Had he? His heart sped up, the hollow space in his head tender around the edges, but she held it shut, apologizing for bringing such things up with a mental squeeze. He was calm again. From a movie, probably. He huffed out a laugh at the bride and groom, looking to Diana again when the ceremony was done. "Food and booze," he said. "And tupperware to put it in."

Reception"Goals," Diana muttered, smiling at the newly wed couple and what she thought to be the best vows ever. One day she would have an awesome relationship like that. Grabbing Max's hand she tried to tug him along to see the bride and groom. She'd already told Jack congrats, but now it was Chel's turn! "I need to tell Chel congrats and then we can get the free food and booze. Come with me pleeease," she begged, not really giving him a choice in the matter as she continued to pull him along. "Chel! Thank you for inviting me. Your dress is fancy and you two look so happy together it is the cutest." Well that sounded pretty awkward, but oh well. She was just really excited about the entire ordeal and seeing Chel in her pretty dress on such a special day.

"Just wanted you t'get a look at what you lost," she said, finally being pushed off by Jack and instead taking her own seat on the couch. For being the lady of the day Chel certainly wasn't acting like a lady; legs crossed with no shoes and hair already coming undone.
She held up her hand for a fist bump. "Thanks for comin' by man."_ p a o cx the fist bump of friendship

Reception
Chel had been saying something to Jack about a dagger, but when interrupted by Diana the conversation quieted and she gave the other woman her full attention. Jack got a pat on the arm and a shooing motion; so much for the loving couple.
She also gave a look to Max. Well, well, well Diana, her eyes seemed to say, Who is this?
But all that came out of her mouth was, "Aw man thanks. All that mushy s**t bores me t'hell so I'm glad y'all didn't fall asleep." Despite being younger than the woman, Chel was still taller which meant Diana got an affectionate pat on the head. "Who's yer friend?" she asked, gesturing up to Max. Introductions were apparently neccessary.
