Old dusty lantern Short IC Response: Gabriel didn't know why he was doing this again, but perhaps it was because having his 'brother' around was more warming then he thought it would be. He walked out of the forest and eyed the sky placing down the lantern that was found from his father. It was old, rustic and something he kept with him all the time. His father was his mentor, someone he looked up to and someone that made him who he was today.
"Father...I don't know what happened...I was told you died, but then...I feel like your alive. Like your out there watching over me..I don't know what to believe anymore. A roughly carved onyx bowl with runes scored into the sides that was made by Smaug, filled with a small handful of glittering purple scales shed by Indra. Short IC Response: It hadn't been easy for Indra to sneak away from the Flight, and he was certain Smaug would throw a fit about it later, but he had to try. He'd heard the tales of the wandering star in his travels before coming to the Lonely Mountain - how it could grant wishes for children or finding a lost family member or even just a new friend. And if those rumors were true... Well, it was worth enduring Smaug's anger if it meant they could potentially have a child.
His selfish drake would forgive him eventually. He could never stay mad at Indra.
So here he was, waiting patiently for his turn to approach the star. There was a nervous, fluttery sensation deep in his belly as the couple before him took their leave and he stepped forward to set down his own offering. He hadn't told Smaug what the bowl was for - had just insisted that he needed it made and pleaded until his mate finally caved. And even if it was a rough work, Smaug had poured himself into it (albeit reluctantly) for Indra's sake.
"So I just... Say whatever I want to convince you, right?" He fidgeted his claws, staring down at the webbing between his toes for a moment and the bowl filled with his scales settled between them. "I know Smaug is... Can be difficult. But I really do care about him, and I want... I want a child of our own. Not just one of us having kids with a mare and raising them together. I want our child. And it's probably a lot to ask, but if you're feeling generous..."
Indra sighed, turning to look back at the line behind him before returning his gaze to the star. "Just look past the front Smaug puts up. I know he wants this too. Maybe not in the same way I do, but I can just tell."

Who is Wishing?: Terhi Tarik Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: On a momentary break from the traveling pattern of the Lapsang Reenactment Troupe and Faire, a white hawk with a strangely milky tail took advantage of their nearby settlement and flew to the strange hill, perching on a nearby tree with a decent view of the star.
"Well now, I think..." Terhi began as he flared and then mantled his wings. "I think that anything as interesting as a magical star probably has already seen all there is to see, so I'd bet you already know who I am and why I'm here... But I also think it'd be rude to assume any of that, so you'll forgive me if I tell you more than you care to hear hmm?"
He gave an amused chirrup, ducking his head. "Well, I'm part of the Lapsang Herd, a fine gathering of artisans and warriors, and more than a fair few of familiars too. It's a good band, all around. They welcome familiars even if we aren't bonded to a member of the herd. We get to be members in our own right, and I like it fine. Proud to call alarms for the vendors with regards to thieves or fire, and equally happy to spend a day admiring their wares or sharing a story or three over tea. But the thing is..."
Terhi leapt from the branch and soared to the alter itself, landing with a scrape of his claws on the smooth top. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that it would be nice to have a Soquili companion to travel with. An artisan to assist with their craft. Permission granted here Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: Izumi zumi is constantly changing as he is open minded - open to new beliefs, customs, etc. He likes to experiment and try it all until he knows for a fact that it isn't for him. He doesn't favor titles or labels, stereotypes, negativity or judging others.
He does his best to be nice to others though he does get easily embarrassed. He is closer to Daisuke, Hikaru, and Ōmagatoki more than he is Tomoe and Hiei. He is however dedicated and more than willing to do anything for his brothers and the members of the herd.
He has his trust placed in faith, family, love and believes that everything happens for an unknown reason. Though he might not always agree with what happens or favor it, there is always a purpose to everything and everything has a purpose. He hopes to be able to find his purpose one day.

A dried flower from a plant of his own devising, carefully cultivated over the years. Its petals are a ghostly white with light blue tips, and it has poisonous properties similar to hemlock. Thorns clutter what remains of the stem from where it was plucked. Short IC Response: Grigori laid the flower down, its dry petals rustling slightly as they nestled alongside the numerous other offerings. Some were grand, wrought metal and beaded charms - others were simpler, hanks of hair and fur, strewn across feathers of every shade and size. There was blood as well, a dark splash against the stone of the altar, and his nose wrinkled against it. Savages. Still, he had not come to pass judgment, at least not today.
His breath formed a warm halo around his head as he peered skyward, searching for the appropriate star. Sensing their host's curiosity, the Multitude also turned its gaze up, countless pupils roving between constellations. He'd heard of this Barren tradition by chance, and had at first dismissed it as mere superstition. But after he'd encountered one of the by-products of a well-intentioned wish, he'd been forced to reevaluate his stance. It wasn't wise, he knew: otherworldly magic rarely manifested without consequence, and the stallion he'd met had been... wrong, even for a Barren. Still, the mare that had accompanied him had revealed it to be a fluke of sorts, a fault in phrasing more than anything malevolent. If he took care with his words, his experience would be different.
Yet how did one begin to speak with something so far away? He cleared his throat and considered before addressing the star as he would have one of his plant-kin. "As you no doubt know, I have spent my life tending to my gardens, caring for them, protecting them from outsiders who would trample them without a passing thought. The flower I give to you is one of my progeny, my children, but their lives are... fleeting. I cannot extend their lifespan to match my own, and it is... it is difficult to know that I must outlive them all." Grigori inhaled deeply, steadying himself before he continued in a more even tone. "I would ask that you give to me a flower undying, a child of my kin who will assist me in my task to grow and create. Grant me this boon, and I will repay your generosity with all the knowledge at my disposal."
Nothing happened, and his ears twitched uncertainly. He caught movement out of the corner of his eye, and realized that it was another Barren coming to make their own entreaty. With a sigh, Grigori turned and headed back toward his gardens. The Multitude's focus never wavered from the star.

Who is Wishing?: Alaure Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: Alaure sighed deeply, casting off her mask, as silver hair fell in front of her face, golden eyes welling with tears as she looked toward the sky.
“Wishing Star, please, I don’t know whether my love has died or as chosen not to return to me, or to his family. My children are afraid to leave me and live their own lives because of my sorrow. I want them to know that I am whole again and truly happy. Please send me someone to love, who will love me in return and never leave me.”
Her voice was thick, wet, and wavering as she pulled a lock of tightly curled hair, not her own, of her lace wings and, tenderly laid it on the ground.

Short IC Response: Zorion looked up to the skies, his new saddle snugly on his back. He knew his human went through great pains to get this for him. He didn't see it as a claim of onwership. He saw drawings hinting at the others getting something as well...he felt special he was the first. That wasn't why he was here...Neavah was a blessing to him. He adored his daughter, but...he really wanted a son now. A second child. That's all. He looked up to the high stars. "Please...please give my Neaveah a lil brother, I would adore having a son...."
He pulled out the small wrapped cloth. It was a shred of his scarf, inside was a few of the feathers from Quest's saddle. A way to tickle joy and laughter into his son. A flower from his mane, so the foal knew what his future home would smell like. Finally a nice piece of his tabbard to keep the foal warm inside their basket. He chuckled as a icy swallotail fluttered on the flower. "Oh...are you going to guide my little foal then? Thank you...be safe."
He took another deep breath before standing to walk away.

He nosed at her, eyes fond. "Yes. I think you could."
"So should we wish together, then?" she asked brightly, and he choked. "You know you're as lonely as I am. And it's been so long since we've had a new face join the herd. You know Citlalli would love a new foal to help us all dote on." She bumped him lightly. He shook his head at her, but agreed silently. "Wishing Star!" Selene fluttered her wings and tossed her long mane. "I'm Selene! Hi! This is Barachiel! I know you don't grant second chances, or turn back time, or fix mistakes. Most of those have been healed by time anyways. But I'm lonely. And Barachiel's lonely. And we have a whole family with so much love to give to a new member of the family."
She tugged at her mane, trying to pull off one of the softly glowing feathers. Barachiel's teeth snipped one neatly, and in answer she nipped off one of the pearls dangling from his own mane. "We'll leave you with this. Feathers and pearls, and a wish on our stars."

"Shut it, Angeni." His answering chuckle filled her ears as they set the offering down safely and wished.

A bottle of healing salve she made. Short IC Response: Keeva broke the surface and looked around. The night was quiet, only the gentle lap of the waves on the nearby island. The stars were bright over head especially the star that Flurry had told her about. Unlike some, she had no doubts of the power of the star. Her love had made a wish about a year ago and just like that two shells had appeared colored much like them.
Would her prayer be heard this time? She had no idea, but it never hurt to try. She swam closer to the beach and pulled herself up, then carefully got the flask from her neck that held one of her healing salves and placed it on the sand.
"Dear Star," she started softly, "you heard the prayer of my Flurry, and we are ever grateful for our precious Lapis and Lazuli that you gave to us. Although, truthfully, we're grateful for all our children." she smiled a bit thinking of the twins. "But we'd be ever grateful for more children to love to bring laughter to our home and fill our lives. So if you could hear my prayer this time..." she let out a breath and then nudged the flask. "This contains some of my finest work, it seals and numbs wounds, and it's taken me a long time to get right. This is my life's work, helping others, but there is no greater joy in my life than being a mother. So, please if you can find it within yourself...Please..." she looked up at the star and remained there, her tail slowly curling as the waves lapped around her body.
