Minielf kyoslove74 Minielf My situation is like Toki's in every way, except that the difference in ages between me and my little brother is even more extreme. I'm 18 and a half, whilst he's only 9, it's nearly a 10 year difference. Both of us were born in very different circumstances. I was a child of the 'One-child generation' in China, whereas he was a millenium baby in Australia. As of such, I still retain a lot of Chinese heritage whereas my brother's almost totally Aussie-fied. But unlike Toki my brother and I are still very close friends. In fact, I'm closer to him than to my parents. The huge difference between our ages and knowledge meant I always had to act as a second parent to him, and teach him things that mum could never do. True, when I was about 11-15 I still acted like a big kid and abused my brother around a lot, but in the last few years I've taught him a lot of cool, if naughty skills!! xd xd He's learned how to play computer games and use the internet in a much faster time I took, he's learned almost as many swear words as I have, and what's more, he's actually a fair bit more intelligent in maths than I was. And even though we still play competitive games with each other with me winning easily every time, I always give him a fighting chance. The only thing that I'd still be better than him if we were the same age is our literary knowledge; I've read almost all the classical and modern writers whereas he's just read Harry Potter. xd Her mouth drops down eek you did what ! scream eek xp you taught him naughty skills you naughty boy I thought that yuo were the amture one in this guild that was not naughty in a sexual way !! gonk No, no, by naughty I don't mean the sexual naughty. sweatdrop I meant I taught him how to fight and beat people up, lie and steal stuff. Why would I teach him naughty stuff when he's so young? ' oh sorry I misunderstood you to learn to fight is good stealing might be helpful I mean the art of stealing, lying depends on who they lie to .... good question your too mature and your logical but reasonably smart enough not to teach your brother these things other wise that child will get into a teacher student relationship which would be veyr very bad

7Sapphire8Dragon9 Tokioka 7Sapphire8Dragon9 t0shi0 Tokioka Yesh, I've noticed how my life's differed from my bro's so far. When I was his age I was really quite smart but my bro isn't, so now he's doing all this Kumon maths and english crap to mould him into a smarter kid. What else... actually I don't think there has been that much of a difference, oh wait - he does get more attention from my parents these days because they realise how I turned out, so they don't want to make the same mistake haha. And us older siblings are definitely the guinea pigs, no matter how you look at it. sweatdrop The younger ones probably get it slightly easier as they have the older sibling to 'guide' them through life... whereas all I had was my dumbass parents, the equivalent to talking to a brick. stare Yesh doesn't that suck. It's like 'oh let's push Timmy on the swing' -bang- 'oh no Timmy fell off- Then, a few years later. 'Oh, we shouldn't push Bobby so hard on the swing, remember what happened to Timmy?'
Well screw Bobby~! If Timmy gets a deformed nose, so should Bobby! scream Damn it, us older ones must team up and change this injustice. That and plot the death of our younge siblings. yes i agree with you 3nodding
every week i have to help my brother do his maths homework, like today rolleyes whenever i get homework i dont get any help from anyone, but i have to do it myself and without any help, and my brother has problems with his homework and my mum makes me help him with his homework i dont see why he gets help and i dont mad its so unfair YEH! That is not fair!! scream The same thing happens to me! I don't get any help from my parents, I'm usually the one helping them write letters or reading any important paperwork, etc. And then they force me to help my bro too! That Kumon maths and english work that my bro does, I'm the one who has to mark it. My mum can't mark it 'because she doesn't understand'. Whatever! stressed And my bro's school homework, even if I'm doing my own work, he'll come into my room and basically order me to help him. I usually say no, but then he just goes and tells on me and my mum forces me to help him. WTF!? scream same here 3nodding i argued with my mum last time, when i refused to help my brother stare the arguement : me - "why do i have to help him with his homework" gonk mum - "well its his fault for being so dumb" me - "well maybe we should get him to go on Saturday school!" mum - "i dont have a car! so no!" me - "i dont see why he gets help and i dont" mum - "well life is hard you know!" me - "why cant he just take his homework to his teacher and ask for help?!" mum - "because he has to hand it in tomorrow!" me - "why didnt he do it earlier?!" mum - "you know what tour brother is like, TV first homework last!" me - "why dont you help him?" mum - "i dont understand english! you understand english! that is why im asking you to do it!" me - jaw dropped open in disatisfaction "i have my own homework to do you know!" scream mum - "do your brothers first then yours!" me - "OH! so Eric's school work is more important than mines?! im in high school for gods sake, i dont want to get detention!" mum - "well thats to bad!"
your mother has a very bad argument and shes very selfish and she is completely unfair at least I do not have to help my little brother with his homework

He hasn't been exposed to women and the pleasure of the opposite sex as young as I was (living in a Milk Bar you kinow, I was bound to become curious about the stack of adult mags sitting beside the newspapers xd ), and so it is best that he learn all about his stuff when he is far more mature than he is now.
