"AWWW JACK!" Screeching like a scorched house-cat, Kalden recoiled from the semi-sentient gum-wad, batting at it with a snarl. "Oh you are just....yanno, you coulda been a bro, little dude, but I've got way too much hair for you to hang out here..." Scooting away and out of his place beneath the table,he meandered over towards the blank runes, attempting to snatch one up with the full intention of returning with it and trying to squish the budding life out of the little squishy adhesive b*****d.
Riddles might not have been his thing, but the obliteration of evolving, hostile, possibly intelligent life-forms was waaaaaaay more up his alley.
"Am I the only one that sees this?! This is a hazard!"
Self-absorbed, he just left the thinking bit to the other occupants of the cavern. If they needed muscle, they'd call. He was, after all, the guy to call.

The key sadly, did not budge at all, it was very firmly wedged in. Perhaps it was time to look for another exit?

The chewing gum caught her attention and Sayael slid over in curiosity, still holding the basilisk eye. She remained out of reach and held up the basilisk eye in front of the chewing gum, hoping it would have some kind of effect.
Of course, if it didn't, she kept it just out of reach. Just in case. She didn't want to lose the item she'd lost her towel for, after all!
One long, sticky tongue shot out as he ate it. Then he turned around and went back to sleep, with one eye still wide open.

"Ack!"
The dark phoenix, who had not been paying attention to what was behind him, pushed harder than he meant on the crystals as he was bumped into from behind.
"Wha?! Hymn?" He flexed out his bone wings, snorting as he watched the fluffy white guy look as if he were about to cry.
Oh, by all that was hellish, please do NOT let the kid start crying again.
Hymn, to his credit, didn't cry. "I found you!!" And he hugged the dark phoenix, his fur puffing up with distress. "I can't find Kalden but I found you!" Hymn's tail lashed back and forth as he sighed, shifting his wings as he ceased to hug Volt.
"I couldn't find you guys in forever. I counted!"

Well that was unhelpful. Dekana shrugged and rummaged through his pack, wondering if anything he'd obtained would be helpful... not really. Hrm. He noticed people inspecting all sorts of things but nobody had actually tried to flip over the coffin it seemed...
He wandered over to said coffin and tried to turn it on its side so he could look at the bottom.
Her rune was flat, square, and black with a orange top. The flat orange top did look perfect for carving on... But the Dormouse ghoul had to wonder if a symbol might appear if the right conditions were met.
But what those conditions might be, she didn't know. So instead, with rune in hand, she walks over to the crystals and after Andrew was done she curiously tries to incert her into the free slot.

Oh, gethimoff gethimooooffff...fur poofed up in his face, white and soft like snow, and it was all Volt could do to not sneeze. instead, his bone wings click-clacked anxiously as he waited for the kid to let go...and then immediately grabbed onto the tail end of what he'd said.
"Well, hey, it's your lucky day - " He pointed towards the table, where he'd last seen Kalden screeching about bro's and angry gum wads.
"I saw him, he's here. Should be right over there."
rather than risk pointing and having Hymn cry again, Volt headed towards the table himself, knowing Hymn would follow, searching for the fur-brained moron.
Along the way, he slid by the table and knocked out a quick 1-2-3 on the wood.

Edel had been careful to avoid the fog given some recent events, but that did not seem to help when she found herself in a cave of sorts, one she certainly did not remember entering. A mild flash of panic set in when she realised she wasn't with her usual company, but the voice was somehow... reassuring in the sense that the villagers did not seem intent on harming them.
Unless, of course, part of solving the puzzle entailed that.
There was a curious hole in the ground, and Edel crouched down to peer into it to see what was inside.

Curious, he reached out and pushed on a crystal formation testingly to see if it would move.
Unfortunately the crystal did not move, though it did make a nice resonate ring.

proceeded to make a fishing rod out of his whale fin like they had been able to earlier.
He was going fishing in the water, yes.
It took a while but he managed to fish up one very small red herring.
"KALDEN!" Hymn launched forward so fast to tackle Kalden that he knocked the table over. "I couldn't find you in forever!" Hug.
"And I tried to look for you everywhere!" His hug tightened.
"And I got so lost and I was afraid to do errands because I didn't have you guys!"
Wow, he was pathetic.

Dejected about not being able to carry off her new-found treasure, Maddie decided to focus elsewhere. She wasn't going to leave this place empty-handed! After wandering and looking around, Maddie went over to where the crystals were, and tried to break a piece off.
