Tora leans into his petting and smiles up at him. "When you do that, it's hard to not just want to cuddle all day," she teases and then grabs her notes. "I suppose I could go get in uniform or ... maybe I should be plain clothes today?" She ponders on this a little and then sighs, "It's hard enough to get people to take me seriously, uniform it is." She kisses him sweetly and then heads off to change into uniform, trailing her fingers on him as she passes him. After getting dressed again, this time just putting the outer part of her uniform on over her clothes. She does not feel like bothering with the kosode underneath. Wearing a t-shirt underneath of a haori is considered acceptable modification outside of formal occasions after all. She slides the door to her room open. "Kuroyuri, mind following us around today? I might need an extra pair of eyes and you look like you could use an excuse to be out of sixth division's war path."Kuroyuri simply grabs her Hi guard gear and dons it. "Yes, ma'am."Tora notices the light frown on her face. "Is this because of my father revoking ..." She trails off as Kuroyuri nods slowly."Do not worry, milady. This only frees me up to serve in any capacity without needing to concern myself with what my captain has to say - particularly since the only captain I need to worry myself about now is back in Nakamura. I should also state that Hikari has not come back, but did leave a text 'They think it's me.' I do not think that they're going to let him out of interrogation until either his name is cleared or he confesses at this point." Tora sighs and nods, "I suspected as much. Of course he's a suspect. He was the last person seen with her." She frowns and calls out, "Tanji-sama, we're ready, Love."
XXXXX As Tora goes to change into her uniform, Tanji makes his way down to the kitchen and starts drinking one of the cans of coffee that was in the bag of miscellaneous cans he found yesterday while he and Tora were looking for stuff to cook for dinner. When Tora has finished speaking with Kuroyuri and calls out they are ready to go, Tanji had just finished the can of coffee and was already making his way to the apartment's entryway to put his shoes on. "Ok I just need to put my shoes on." He says tapping the panel to open up the shoe shelves. "So do yall mind me running ahead so I have time to change clothes before you get to my office? or would ya rather wait for me to get changed after we get to my office?" he continues, as he slips on his shoes.

Tora nods to Tanji and says, "I'll meet you at the graveyard and get things started, then. Internal Affairs is great at a lot of things, deep investigative detective work is not one of them." She sighs and slips on her tabi. She has always preferred these for her duty rather than the typical sandals. "I'll try to find witnesses. The one thing that bothers me is why wasn't there security footage that can give us information? Or, was there and it's gone now? Hopefully Division Twelve's report can give us something to work with." She slings on her zanpakutou and gives it a good hard rap on the hilt. "Now you behave yourself today or I will find a way to yank you out of there and give you what for." She is still not ready to trust Shinku quite yet. With that, she pulls out a spare key from a hidden key box in the wall and hands it to Tanji. "Just in case you ever need to come back in here. I want you to know that you are always welcome in my apartment." She hops up into his arms and gives him a kiss. "I honestly am starting to feel hope that we can solve this case before the attacker either strikes again or gets too far. As for us, we can-" She flicks her ears backwards and sighs when she hears Kuroyuri clear her throat as she looks away and waits by the elevator door. "Right, more on that fun later."
XXXXX"You want to just meet up in the graveyard? Ok I'll get changed, grab the evidence, and meet you there." Tanji responds to Tora with after she finishes speaking. He then slips the spare key to this apartment that Tora had handed him into the band of his hat, and, (having not let her down out of his arms sense she jumped up into them to kiss him), carries her into the elevator. "Alright, Oda take us down to the exit." Tanji then says to Oda as he starts squeezing and nuzzling Tora, whilst gushing about how cute she is.
