Cecil had continued to follow the large group. He felt as the grassy floor beneath his webbed feet turn to stone. The faint light that had been on his skin disappeared and the mudkip became quite confused. Now he was in complete darkness, or so he felt. Where had he gotten himself lost to now? There were faint lights around him possibly from other pokemon, since it didn't feel like the sun was on his skin. He figured it was pokemon which made them. His fins twitched and he listened trying to gain his bearings, yet he kept moving forward blindly because he didn't want to be left alone in this place.
As he continued forward he ran his face into the backs of a group of pokemon. A small 'yelp' escaped him thinking he might of ran into something dangerous. The Mudkip was on guard ready for the worse of things. In the process of backing up to defend himself his hind foot stepped on something odd, something he hadn't felt before. What was it, he had no clue.

Goli was sniffing around, faintly seeing his source of light leave. He looked up to see Caliban leaving him behind. "HEY! Wait for me!' He shouted at the back of the Leafeon as he ran to catch up.
In his rush to catch the Leafeon, he ended up going down a wrong path and ran into a dead end. Sighing he turned around to find his way back hopefully finding the Leafeon too.
Caliban looked around as he heard the Growlithe's shout from somewhere behind him. He followed the voice bouncing off the stone walls until his circle of light revealed the younger Pokémon emerging from another dead end. "Stay close if you want to get out of here, pup," he said gruffly.
Around the next corner, nothing of note. Only more darkness.

Goli sighs in relief when he sees the familiar face in the dark. "Maybe you shouldn't walk so fast." He grumbles to himself. "Hey I don't think I caught your name. Mines Goliath" It had dawned on him that he hadn't introduced himself. -inner dialog start- Mama wouldn't be happy to know I forgot to introduce myself properly.....-inner dialog end-
While he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings he stubbed his toe. "OUCH!! He yelped while shaking his paw.
The Leafeon heard the grumble, but didn't retort. He even slowed his pace a bit. The Growlithe was smaller than he was, with shorter legs, and even the toughest of little ones needed help sometimes. He knew that firsthand. The Eevee he had once been wouldn't have made it far in the Howling Forest without Anahera and the others.
"Caliban," he told Goliath.
There were a pair of Paras scuttling about a little ways off. Cavedwellers – they wouldn't be of any help. Caliban paid them no attention.
Much to Thunder Rat's dismay, she was unable to move the Tentacool more than three inches, after which it proceeded to enter a rap battle with a wild Ekans. The tentacool thereby engaged, Thunder Rat was left to explore the cave on her own.
Rei backtracked to get out of his latest dead end, noticed there was a new light nearby and looked up hopefully. But unfortunately, it turned out to be a couple of Paras with glowing mushrooms. Odd, that. Perhaps they knew of a way out? They didn't seem to talkative at the moment, so for now he decided to leave them be and go back to looking around.
He turned down another tunnel that looked promising but found nothing of note. At least it wasn't a dead end. "This looks worth exploring further," he commented to Chi.
Caliban had just begun to think they were making progress when he ran into another dead end. At the sudden thought of being trapped inside this rocky darkness forever, fur prickled all down his back. He grouchily turned away to find another route.
"Not very talkative are you?" Goli said while looking around since Caliban had slowed somewhat. Goli figured that if his new companion didn't want to talk much than that was fine he wouldn't do anything to step on the leaf tailed pokemon's toes. He was grateful that Caliban hadn't noticed his flub with his paws earlier.
Goli's luck seems to be bad lately he stubbed his toe enough to trip himself and land with his front legs underneath him pointing back and his tail in the air. Snorting he quickly righted himself.

When Marmalade turned back after her dead end, she found new pokemon had joined the others. Two glowing paras were helping light the way. Marmalade smiled at them and went down another cave tunnel only to discover another dead end. Oh well.
Thunder Rat continued her lone expedition, her body suffused with blinding light. However, while her initial trek had led her smoothly through a passage, it seemed now she'd reached a dead end. Letting off a modest, ear-splitting shriek, she backtracked and sought out another path.
Marmalade was having no luck at all today! She headed down another way, insistent that she would not give up.
She squealed as something hit her in the face and battered it with her long, supple ears. "Get off me!" With whatever it was dislodged, she hurried back to the others to try again.
Caliban looked down at Goliath, who seemed to be tripping over every odd rock they passed. ".... No." He wasn't chatty at the best of times, and this maze was setting him on edge. He wanted out.
He gritted his teeth and stalked on into the next patch of nothingness.

Goli just nodded at Caliban's response. He hoped his tripping was done it was grating on his nerves that he just couldn't keep his paws underneath him.
Staying within viewing distance he looked down a path. It was a dead end so he went back to Caliban.
Thunder Rat was tired of Flashing all the time; she could barely see her own paws without blinding herself from her own brilliance. She settled instead for the occasional bursts of shock, the electricity spreading across her webbing and emitting a soft glow. Turning a corner, she continued on her way.
