Sometime ago, TK had slipped into the room to try and sift through the books, but found nothing that caught his interest. It was the echoing of one of the Great Knight's voices that caught his (and others, it seemed) attention. He raised an eyebrow, keeping silent as people voiced his main concern, but something from the prior conversation had also caught his eye and echoed another apprentice. "If you remember the last time you saw the map, I am sure a few of us would be willing to help look for it. I am sure it is safe and sound, somewhere."

For much longer than she probably should have, Mildred earnestly considered how the solution of 'yes' might apply to the options that she had presented. Was it a paradox of some sort? That was certainly possible, but...
The only word that she managed to overhear from the accidental exchange was 'missing', which she presumed was supposed to be an applicable answer to her question, due to her inability to actually see which way the two were facing. They looked familiar with importance. They were important, weren't they?
Weighing their importance with their answer, she then considered the last solution that had been offered to her. A small smile of amusement was briefly visible as she noticed the slight reddening of the smudges that made up his face, and she gave him a satisfactory nod.
"Yes, I do think that is an adequate description of the parameters that define what is a book, regardless of what might be missing," she agreed, before turning to look at the sun-knight along with him. "Do you agree?"

"Well said!" Johan encouraged Shun's observation.
The sudden outburst from the two Great Knights was certainly enough to thoroughly distract Johan from his injury. The Great King was missing?!
He managed to rise from his seat and approached the two Knights alongside the others.
"If there is some way we can assist you, we are at your disposal." he added, bowing to the two, fist over heart. He was pleased that he managed to keep any swaying to an absolute minimum.

"Yes well," Gawain snapped at Estel, so abruptly that a tiny sparrow flew angrily out from his beard, "I would very much prefer it if you didn't. But, as I don't have the ability to rewind time or replicate all of your memories yet, and I do not have a handy box that conveniently replaces memories yet, I would prefer it if you did not spread any further rumours. The king is perhaps missing. And by missing simply taking a small seance. If you understand even what that word means." He stared everyone who asked down, challenging them to ask more questions.
Galahad, the more patient of the two simply did his usual charming smile, all kind words and well intentions. "What Gawain means is we haven't make progress yet, it is kind of you to offer, but what we really need is a map. A complete map, well, more an updated map of Camelot. I really don't know what happened to our last two, or five, or twenty-" he turned to look at Gawain who was busy trying to usher the sparrow back into his beard -" but a functional map would be the greatest help of for us all."
"Or," Gawain added," with little luck in wooing tiny sparrows, "you could offer your assistance through expeditions. Maybe if several knights searched around Camelot, someone would eventually find the king. Maybe." He took out his quill from his beard and then a few pieces of parchment. "I can give you directions, though I can't give any of you half the brain you need for such an endeavor."

This boy - this little pimple of a man in his way - was speaking with words that sounded like riddles, and for a moment Robert actually thought he might have been insulting her. What kind of way was this to speak to a maiden! Her lovely, lofty mind would be muddled with such nonsense, just as his was (not that he would admit it). When he asked for Robert's opinion, he received a huff - much like a bull - in response. That was what he supposed. That, and the way his fists were balling up. He supposed that, too.
But then she smiled - to him, that intrusion of a human. Dillon received the gift of her smile instead of himself, and Robert realized - with each passing word that she gave in return - that this was why he couldn't woo her properly. This was why he found himself at a loss in her presence. They were speaking a language he didn't understand. His only solution was to strut and look menacing in the hopes that Dillon would leave - and even that stopped, now. Because he wasn't sure Dillon leaving would help the situation.
The jewel of the knighthood was distant, and out of reach.
"Aye." He muttered, more defeat in his voice than was necessary for the response. He glared at Dillon, clearly fuming with jealousy, and then punched him on the shoulder. "Have you heard? There's a sparring grounds. We should practice our skills together, later."
The only thing he sounded like he wanted to practice, was beheading.

My character's name: Robert Morris Character's journal link:http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=24688713 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER The thud you are now hearing is the sound of ladies around the world swooning, and Sir Robert is not sorry. With a broad chest and muscular arms, he embodies strength and power, enough to wield his massive greatsword, [ THUNDERFURY, BLESSED BLADE OF THE WINDSEEKER ]. It's his duty to seek the greatest of glory, even if he has to save every single damsel in distress all at once with his hand tied behind his back and his eyes closed. He'll do it, you know. He totally will. Physical Description: Sir Robert is draped in glistening knightly battle gear, covered by a silk robe that looks way too expensive for actual fighting, but that's fine - he dramatically rips it off before a fight anyway. This is immediately followed by a slow motion whip of his lustrous man of gold hair, that always seems to be blowing charmingly in the wind that doesn't necessarily exist.

Well that was concerning news. Shun looked around at the maps littered all around. One of those were probably... somewhat useful. None of them were really catching his eyes from the quick sweep around, however. But beyond that, he was considering this proposition of seeking the Great King. Actually, why was he debating it? He swore an oath.
"I will go."
He might not be a fully fledged knight yet, but he was not going to sit around and do nothing while their King was missing. Shun needed to do his part.

She was sworn to obey, wasn't she? Even if that wasn't a direct order... it would be to everyone's benefit if the king could be found.
Estel curtsied politely. "As you say, sirs," she assured the Great Knights, backing away to scan the maps on the table.

He cannot remember why he had pledged himself to Gawain—certainly there must have been some appeal to his code—but the Great Knight himself left a little more to be desired from TK.
But he could not deny that the sparrow fleeing from his beard was nothing less than impressive. Was it perhaps an interdimensional beard that could store an infinite amount of things?
His brain told him to follow his Great Knight’s command and to embark on an expedition to find the King, but at the moment he was more inclined to look for the map, or perhaps a copy of the map? He narrowed his eyes at Galahad. His faith in the Knights were dwindling by the second; how disappointing.

He was not particularly successful, but he seemed pleased to be helping nonetheless.

Even though they were attempting to keep it secret.

Yu was there all the time, silently judging all the male knight existences. How could someone lost an important map like that? She calmly walked around, eyes scanning through the places and lastly found a scroll of something on a corner.

The halberd felt alien in her hands as if it was too long for her to use but she chalked that up to nerves. It may have been the first time she held a weapon, she couldn't be sure. After the knighting ceremony, Joy wandered about until she found herself in a room with two of the Great Knights. Though neither of them were Percival, Joy squared her shoulders back in attention and respect due someone of their station.
She caught their words in time to hear of a quest and immediately brightened. Here was a chance for her to be of some use! A chance to prove herself worthy of becoming a fully fledged Knight! She could stay behind and help look for a map, that was an acceptable way to be of use too, she supposed. But when compared to an expedition?
It was no contest.
An excited smile stretched across her face as she approached the nearest person: a red-haired knight-apprentice with an axe. With a teasing lilt she began, "Let me guess, you're going to help look for the King?"
