"Clean it? I'll just replace it. I have feathers in my wings." She stopped at the top of the stairs, watching him and feeling guilty over his leg being injured. She didn't know how she could help him, though, considering how he was.

She could see, ahead, the room that Darias was referring to and she walked towards it. Looking into the room, she could see an unlit torch, and she carefully made her way to it. Using the lantern, she lit the torch, then lept back as flames suddenly rushed down it and towards the center of the room. In a matter of seconds, the flames had spread along in a path-like manor, lighting up torches all around the room, and revealing quite the haul of treasure.

"Oh... my god...." Andro looked around in complete shock. "This is incredible."

Using your own feathers? His face twisted a bit at that thought. Whats next, a tooth necklace out of your baby teeth?

He hobbled up after her, peering into the room just moments after the first torch was lit. The flame sped down and around, bathing the room in an orange glow. And making the contents of the room glitter more than the night sky. "I...KNEW it!" He called out gleefully, pumping an arm into the air. "We be rich lass! This plunder'll last every crew member at LEAST a year drinking the finest wine 'n sleepin in silks! An it be owed to you!" He turned and grabbed her by the shoulder. "I knew it a good choice to bring ye aboard! Yer luckier than a rabbits foot!"

"This is amazing!" She spun around, looking at everything in the room wondering how all of this could have been down here or even brought down there. She blushed at Darias' remark, then smiled and hugged him. "Thank you, for bringing me aboard. Thank you for giving me this chance."

She then sighed. "Well, we better find out how to get all of this back out. Preferably not through the pit."

He was surprised by the sudden embraced, but did not shy from it. In his glee, he wrapped his arms around her and picked her up to swing her once around. Then promptly set her back down with a wince and a slight knee buckle. His cursed leg was a rather keen reminder along with her true words of their predicament.

"Aye, we'll carry ahead 'n' lead the crew back fer the booty." The thought crossed his mind to have Andromeda lead them back herself so he could rest his leg topside. A thought that was quickly squashed. He was no weakling! He could suck it up, grow a pair and carry on.

A laugh erupted from her as Andromeda was swung around by Darias. She wasn't blind to the fact that when he set her down his knee buckled a little. He was stronger, in this half-transformed form, so the fact that he was still hurting on that leg meant that he needed to get off of it immediately. How exactly was she going to get him to stay behind and rest again? The man was more stubborn than a barnacle.

"Aye, we need to find a better way down for them." She paused, thinking, then made a frown as if she'd just thought of something troubling. Had to sell this... make him think it's his idea to stay behind. "You know... is it possible there's more traps in this room? Maybe one of us should stay and secure the room. I can do it, if you'd need me to."

The stairs led on, so hopefully there was a safer way down for his crew. Worse to worse, they could kill all the snakes, construct a ladder and pulley system...But if there was an easier way out, that was preferred.

His steel blue eyes flicked back into the treasure room before back to Andromeda. "Yarrgh...Aye. Unlikely, but not impossible." Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to start securing the area first. Make getting the treasure out faster. But as much as it irked him to say it, she was the better one to leave. "Nay, I'll stay. Yer blasted wings'll do well in anoder pit." And her lack of injured limbs meant she could go faster. He didn't like the idea of her going alone...

however, it did give him an excuse to rest his leg. It was beginning to throb. "Mark yer way so ye can get back. I'll follow if you've been gone long." He reached down to his hip to take his sword in hand, still sheathed. The captain then offered it out to the shetani girl. "Take this. Case ye run into trouble...Run 'em through."

Releife washed over her as Darias decided to stay behind. Hopefully he'd take this time to rest his leg and give it time to heal a little, goodness knows it wouldn't hurt. A gentle smile came over her face, and she nodded. "Aye, I'll do my best and make it quick, sir. You won't even notice I'm gone."

Surprise came over her face as Darias offered her his sword, and for a moment she felt light headed in excitement. "Aye, I'll make you proud." She took the sword and sheath carefully, then tied the strap around her hips so it swung by her leg. Reaching next to him, she took a handful of small gold coins, and held one up. "I'll use these for markers, if you need to find me, follow the gold. Should come naturally." She winked at him, then spun on her heels and left the room, picking up the lantern in her other free hand and stepping back out into the dark corridor. She fought taking a last look back at Darias, instead keeping her eyes right ahead. He'd be fine.

She held up the lantern and began assending the rest of the stairs, leaving a coin every once in a while. She followed down the corridor that the stairs opened up to, wondering where exactly she had gone and just exactly how long she'd been gone. Ahead she could see a dim light, a small ray that had managed to trickle its way into this darkness. Dropping another coin on her trail, she walked towards the light, only to find that it was a small hole in a wall at the dead end. "Dammit.... DAMN IT!" She yelled out in frustration, hitting her palm against the wall. She was so close... there had to be a way out, there was DAYLIGHT right there!

With another grunt of frustration, she punched at the wall again. A small grinding sound was heard as she felt the wall move a little. Standing back, puzzled, Andromeda began reanalyzing the what was in front of her as she lifted the lantern for better lighting. There, there was a crack that ran from top to bottom right through the light hole. This was a door. Eyes narrowing, she set to work pushing, pulling, and looking for any way to open it. Pushing around the sides, she looked for a panel, and just when she was about to give up, she saw that one stone that looked different than the rest, and reach out to give it a push.

It slid into the wall, easy, and a rock-on-rock grinding sound could be heard as the wall slowly sung open and sunlight streamed in, tinted green from the thick jungle around it. Pushing a few vines out of the way, she stepped out into the forest, squinting until her eyes adjusted, looking for something familiar. And there it was, the big boulder that everyone had worked so hard to move to reveal the entrance. Moving fast, she moved a bunch of smaller logs and branches to try to prop the door open, if anything at least to mark where it was, than ran to the discovered entrance. "Ahoy crew! All hands safe to the entrance! There's an easier, and safer, way to get to Darius and the gold." She grinned, waiting for everyone to come back out.

It had been too long. Far longer than 30 clicks. Shortly after Andromeda left, his crew came back with a rope ladder. Still, he waited for them. 30 clicks turned into 40, then 50. He hissed through his teen. "A'ight lads, we go down. First, we torch the snakes, then-"

"OI! Black Jack! I heard Slagathor outside!" The sprightly male shouted as he skidded down the hallway.

He froze, mouth still open in mid-order. Slowly he straightened before shaking his head. "What ye be waitin fer?! Yer mothers permission?! Everybody OUT!" Never had such a massive form barreled so fast down a corridor. Up the stairs, into the sunlight. "Slagathor?! Cap'n?!"

She could hear the thunderous footsteps before she even saw the larger form appear. Her typical lopsided grin came over her face and she lifted her hand. "Aye! I'm here. Cap'n be waiting for us in the treasure room. I found an easier way in: looks like a back entrance for those working on this place."

Turning, she waved him in her direction, leading him to the still propped open stone door. It was covered in so many vines and overgrowth that is would have been impossible to find again had it closed. "There's a corridor right in her that leads right to Cap'n and the shiny stuff."

She paused, then dropped her voice for only Black Jack to hear. "He's injured, pretty sure it's either his foot or his leg that's bothering him. He's, of course, refusing to acknowledge it, but if it's ok with you, I'd like to get back to him before the rest of the crew so he can save a little bit of face." She looked around, then back to Black Jack. "Did... did you know about the crocodile...?" She watched him to see if he understood what she'd meant; she didn't know how much the rest of the crew knew about Darias' shape shifting, and she didn't want to spill it if he wasn't sharing.

When he saw her, he wanted clasp her hand or give her a hearty hug. But they were in front of the men, and appearances were everything in front of them. He settled for flashing her a relieved grin. Thanks to his hauling tail out of the temple, he made it to her in front of the main group of crew who were still funneling out. Injured? He glanced behind him before dropping his own voice. "Aye. I'll hold 'em back."

Then, the second question. His eyebrows twitched slightly in surprise. It was that bad? "His ace in the hole. Only the original crew know still. Been years since..." He cut off as he heard footsteps. The crew had caught up with them, so he gave a quick look to her that they'd speak of it later. He turned to the men. "The captain's found the BOOTY!" He yelled, much to elated cheers. "But we got to use our head-muscles. Ready yer sacks 'n' torches!" Hopefully Andromeda was taking advantage of his barking orders to slip back in ahead of them.

Thank goodness Black Jack was a great guy and felt the same way towards Darias as she did. She listened as he started to tell her about what he knew, but the arrival of the crew cut that conversation short before it had really even began. She hesitated a moment, unsure if she'd be able to slip away without much notice, but once the crew began wrapping themselves up in the orders that were given she found her chance.

Easily, she slid back into the dark, and though she was nearly blinded again from the bright light, her lantern still picked up the shine of coin left on the ground. Careful of the steps, she hurried her way down the stairs and through the corridor. Her eyes adjusted, giving her better vision by the time she came back to the still glowing treasure room. She ignored the glitter and gleam around her, instead her focus on the only other figure in the room.

A small, warm smile came onto her face and she walked up to him. "The crew is preparing and will be on their way in soon." She untied the sword from her hip and handed it out to him. "Let me take a look at that injury on your leg, maybe there's something I can do to help mask it before they all come in. Or at least get you into something that's not... naked." She looked away from him at the last word, feeling slightly awkward. Yeah, he needed clothes. Yesterday.

In the glittering light, Darias rested against the all, seated. It wasn't until he heard her voice however, that his head snapped back up. S**t. Was supposed to check fer traps. What had started out as him taking a short breather, turned into a full on nap. His eyes flicked side to side at the room before focusing on the shetani. "...Perimeter is safe!" He'd rather blow his crew asunder than lose pride in admitting to not do his task. The male took the sword back, wondering if it had been bloodied. She didn't look like she had seen battle. Good. "Ahh, the crew." He swallowed hard. He was going to have to transform out of his half-turned state. That was going to blow. "Ye know you like my booty." He spoke dryly before a half hearted laugh. He needed to get back to his ship, take some medicine, and sleep through this.

Kira of Flames
I'm imagining Black Jack's stalling orders to give them time; We need three turnips now! Why?....Captains bound to be hungry! Don't question me.

Well, it was a good thing she'd gotten there first, since she was pretty sure that he had not wanted the crew to see that judging by his behavior. A skeptical look came over her face as he made his comment. "Well, I'm glad to see you're still making jokes. Means you must not be dieing."

Even through the half transformation, she could see that there was a discoloration in the bite on his leg, probably was a poisonous snake. With a sigh, she ripped a small bit of fabric from around the bottom of her shirt, twirling it into a cord and kneeling down to wrap and tie it right above the bite semi-tightly to slow the blood flow a bit. Standing herself back up, she started shrugging out of the pants that she'd stolen from one of the crew members at some time... they were probably Black Jacks, seeing how big they were. "Here, cover it with these."

Her mind was already racing five steps ahead, trying to figure out how to get the cap'n back on the boat without the rest of the crew following so that he could get himself hidden away while he licked his injuries and treated himself.

Tartara Seabreeze
Man, she'd be the scariest chess player that sailed the seven seas....

Also, I can just see the crew confused as to 'why turnips?'

He gave a bit of a wink as she mentioned him not dying, though truthfully he felt a bit like he was. Noticing her eyes staring down at his leg, he looked down as well. Seemed like his hobbling around had shifted his cloth bandage, and a bit of the bite was showing. "Don't ye worry. Nuttin but a flesh wound." He started out, but the female was already kneeling down with her bit of torn cloth. "Nurse Slagathor, eh?" He dryly joked as she tied his leg up. It was actually quite wise, as when he transformed back there would be nothing to stop the venom from spreading. "I need ta change first lass." He spoke softly before his body began to pop. The tail was shrinking back into him, as his skin smoothed out. His teeth flattening. He let out a soft groan during the transformation, closing his eyes as warmth flooded in to him.

"...Dis croc thing. It be a secret ye keep to yer grave. Savvy lass?" He opened his eyes again to take the pants from her.

"Flesh wound or not, I've taken enough risks with you today." She said in an almost monotone, paying close attention to where she was applying the cloth tie. She kept it tight as his leg shrunk up, and once the transformation was complete she tied it securely and tucked the ends in.

She checked over her work once more before standing up to see him open his eyes again. A small smile played over her lips, almost mischievously. "I'm honored you put this amount of trust in me, Darius. I won't be telling a soul." Already, though, her mind was moving from this current moment to several steps ahead. How was she to get him back to the ship? She'd seen that bite, he needed to get off of it and get some sort of medicine to it. The question was how to get him there without letting the crew know what was going on or making him seem like a coward. She had to make it be his idea...
