Nico had gotten thrown from the youma a little harder than he'd expected - he almost thought he saw ********* the goddess muse cat turn into ********* the tiny magical person in a flash of lights and he was still sort of dizzy and achy and that hadn't gone the way he'd planned at all and --
And where was his hat? He didn't see it, and the battle was over but he still didn't see it, and everything still sort of ached, and then all of a sudden there was one of the cats yelling at him about how stupid he'd been. Nico's ears and tail drooped progressively lower, and his eyes grew wider and wider. Then, when it was all said and done, abruptly his lower lip began to quiver.
No no no. There was no crying! He was not going to cry! He pursed his lips together and took a nice deep breath. Except the breath was a sniffle, and his eyes were watering, and he was both mortified and miserable and where was his hat? He flopped down on the ground back where he'd started, flat on his stomach, and planted his paws firmly over his face as he gave a soft, miserable hiccup that was really more of a sob.

The convenient thing about this form was her hat. Her hat which she had tossed to the side prior was plucked up and soon enough the devices were stuffed in there, plopped into her own subspace pocket for temporary storage.
The youma was not the most difficult thing she had ever had the pleasure of fighting against, but that did not make its demise any less satisfying. It might have been messy, but seeing it gone allowed the false senshi to sigh in relief.
Ash apparently did not have the patience for this, and hastily made her exit. Leaving the Mauvian Senshi and the rest of the Mauvians there to fend for themselves on the tech aspect of things.
"Well... here is what I managed to salvage out of that mess..." With that, the false senshi tilted her hat to the side, allowing the subspace pocket to leak the contents onto the floor.
Even with her false henshin still up, the cat girl popped the hat back up on her head before coming across a hiccuping kit.
A rather flat hiccuping kit that looked miserable (and hatless).
"Alright Nico, you get to help me find some snacks now!" With that, she popped off her hat, and promptly scooped the kit up and plopped him in her hat. With that, she trotted off, taking the kit with her.

The feline lightshow took out the youma, but Tomlin remained tense and alert for long moments afterwards, staring into the depths of the hole in their wall with his own forehead laser at the ready, waiting for the other shoe to drop – or be thrown at him, something the ginger tabby was more familiar with. He couldn’t sense anything, either from the hole or from the world outside. The dust settled and he could only conclude that their shielding was holding after all. Slowly the tension left his shoulders, his whiskers, and last of all his tail, tip twitching gently as the discussion around him caught his attention. At least they’d all been in here together. Scary to think what might have happened if it had broken in on someone down here alone.
He turned his back on the damage and moved to snag a finished communicator from Ash, and a cover from Snowball. The one he grabbed was a little worse for wear, but that suited him just fine – he could always pretty it up later if he could be bothered.
He twirled the little device on his claw. Everything seemed to be well in paw now.
"Should be useful. Call me if anything else comes through,” he said, by way of farewell. After further reflection, he amended: “Or preferably before it comes through."

There had been a vicious shriek from the youma and Liryn had forced himself wearily to his feet from where he had flooped down onto the counter.
He wasn't sure he was up for another attack, but if the youma was still going strong then he had to try - because it wasn't in him to just give up - but he was tired, so very tired.
He turned purplish eyes towards the youma, in time to catch it cough up three things that looked almost like bottles which went flying in the direction of some of the cats.
It seemed that it was the last trick that the youma had in it's nasty scaly body though as with a cough and a vicious jerk it exploded into dust.
There had been calls of asking whether those gathered were okay and it looked like they had all managed to get out of it with dusted youma and no mauvian casualties.
The youma had taken a casualty in the form of the device that he'd been so carefully trying to put together - a hole the only thing remaining where he had left it.
He stared at the hole with a mixture of tiredness, disappointment and growing dismay - his device had been coming together so nicely - at least he thought it had.
Ash's voice cut through his thoughts, purplish eyes noting a few communicators by her as she grumpily called out that people could collect one of them or make their own and he moved over to her and picked one up before vanishing it into his subspace pocket.
"Thanks Ash," he said, his voice still cheerful despite the tiredness, flopping down in place as he watched her. "And if you want a paw with clearing up then let me know" although hopefully that wouldn't be tonight - because he was kind of tuckered out.
At some point he would head home and at some point further he would get the communicator out and work on it and maybe take it apart and put it back together so he could see how it all worked.
That like helping to clear up HQ was not a today thing though - well apart from the heading home part.
Heading home sounded good - but for now he just wanted to rest a bit.
