Yeah, not sure whether I'll go with Imperium with severely altered memories vs. Rocket and erased memories yet, but at least I have some time to decide. If I'd thought of this route earlier I might have picked Ralts for one of his other pokemon, I almost chose it anyways instead of the Riolu

(Also just so you know, Takumi actually does wear a scarf over his left eye, if he ever took it off he has a scar there and is partially blind. It's all because of his family's ~mysterious~ secret (which if you have any ideas for please let me know, because I've got nothing right now lulz) )

Do not fret, for I, too have the same issue. Seriously. It's like I can only get a good idea when its three in the morning and I'm trying to sleep. If I think about it too hard it just ends up like if I's squeezed a bran muffin; Uglier than before and all over the place.

Weird analogies aside, I think you've got something interesting there for Takumi. Maybe when he was getting too close to figuring out the truth, his family sent an assassin of sorts after him. Or maybe even one of the family personally tried to rid him of his sight specifically.

The main reason would be why they are after his eyes in the first place. I think a sort of power he gets from them/ can use by them would be an interesting twist. Then he would have all sorts of trouble figuring out how to awaken that power, how to control it, and trying to decide what to do with it. He could go back for revenge, use it for good, or both! Or neither! (I don't know)

But, what would that power be? I have no clue in that regard. Maybe a Pokémon related power? Not a Pokémon's move, per say, but a power that directly influences a Pokémon's thoughts, power, or otherwise?

Meh. I dunno, now I'm just spit-ballin'.

As for Rae.....

I do want to connect her recently formed obsession with dragons to her unrealized obsession for power later. Since she was raised around a situation she had no control over, Rae hates feeling weak and helpless. It reminds her too much of her past self and just drives her forward to gain more power since in her head power=freedom.

I think I could do a fun story between her and the Zekrom she has, if I tried hard enough. I'm just at a loss for any antagonistic influences. :T Right now it's leaning towards an inner-battle sort of scenario.

Uh...that analogy is, erm...delightful. As delightful as lukewarm metallic fountain water on a boiling hot day. Refreshing but unpleasant all at the same time.

I had this image in my head of him somehow discovering something, then getting attacked and immediately after leaving, but I actually like the idea of maybe he got attacked by an assassin/family member, which prompted him to leave. Oh! Mayhaps he discovered whatever it was while his, say, uncle was present, uncle gave him the scar but Takumi fought him off. Then right before he left an assassin made an attempt, which is why he's run away at this point.

It'd probably have to be pokemon related, makes the most sense. Of course, I dunno what kind of stuff would even be allowed in the guild, so it might be a case of him never being able to manifest it. Now that you mention it, he probably is itching for revenge.

He can look in a Pokemon's eyes and make them do....the hula!


Hmm, well this isn't a big plot, but what if Rae encountered someone that was selling some kind of miracle cure (perhaps one that could have "supposedly" cured her mother) and she investigates if thats true or not? (Spoiler: they're a dirty dirty liar and she beats 'em up)

What if there was another dragon trainer she met that convinced one of her pokemon to leave her, because they're more powerful? I dunno if that'd do some character developing or something...

Possible antagonists include: Alakazam/Ninetales, A rock slide, Some random douche, random evil team member/admin or something

The main plot I had for my character Riley is involving mega evolution and some weirdo who stole her pokemon, so she's trying to get them back. So far I've been coming up with stuff as I go but it's kinda hard to keep going without someone to bounce ideas off of -w-

Wh-Whuuuut!? It's because Teito is so adorable and I can't help but pick on the adorable, of course. Although, I don't think he'd like it if he heard me call him 'adorable'. XD

Anywho, yes. Rae would probably take advantage of his fear of heights and climb the tallest tree she could find if he ever felt the need to pound her face in for waking him up with her loud mouth. Oh my gosh. they are total opposites almost... It would be perfect.

Rae can't cook.
Rae wakes up at the bloody crack of dawn.
Rae is loud and insensitive.
Rae tries to have a positive, carefree outlook on everything.

You can't tell me the conflict between the two wouldn't be golden. I think the only things they have in common are their fitness levels. XD
