Picking up a few cuttlefish, she began to juggle casually, tossing their damp bodies up in the air and catching each with a proficient squelch.

Ten cuttlefish were dropped in ceremoniously and ten blades started to whirl.

Tamiya stepped up to the plate (or rather, plates). She was ready to do this. She had seen Sinter cook many delicious dishes before, but quantity was not in either of their vocabularies. They were more focused on singular affairs. Quiet get-togethers celebrated with food. This could be a celebration. The thought of that calmed her and allowed her to begin.

Tossing the ice into the containers, she went back to the serving table and lined up even more glasses. "A few of you might notice some intact stuff, floatin' around at the bottom. That's actually better, since when you drink it it's a little flavor explosion in your mouth. Seriously great stuff. Don't just gag it back, bite down on it!"

7 So it began. Tamiya was seven plates in when she had to dab some sweat off of her brow. Not getting make-up on her plates would be a challenge during this event. She whipped her wrists up to toss a salad. Praise be. She was on a roll. The other competitors were crack-shots too. Even the queen was in attendance. Tamiya knew for sure that if Sinter didn't take home the medal, it would be the purplebloods.

As the next batch went out, Regina was back to tossing cuttlefish into blenders. Her tub was still quite full, and she took the time to lift it up and show the wiggling bodies inside to the audience. "Y'see how few I've used? This is a meal that really pulls it's weight, for barely any ingredients!"

14 Tamiya moved on to some more bizarre ingredients. She tossed various tubers into her blender with liver and sawed it all up with the puree setting. This would be delicious. Slapping a splash of carbonated beverage on it, she poured the soup into bowls. This way it would be easier to justify quantity. Multiple servings per blend!

Continuing on, she finished packing the blenders and switching the rows on again. "Now, my lusus swears that if you pop the eyes out first, you can put them in whole, and add a little musclebeast milk and make what she likes to call eyeball tea. I've never tried it myself, lactose intolerant."

21 The judges started looking critical at Tamiya’s first soup. She would spice it up with a fresh, cold soup. Cucumbers went into the blender, creating a fantastic and refreshing dish. She added plenty of salt though, likely ruining the whole thing in favor of expelling demons that may have resided in the vegetables.

28 Tamiya whistled a jaunty tune. She was getting used to this now, but it was very tiresome. She had to hyperfocus. Everything went away as she buried her hands into a pile of dough and pulled out fingerfuls of the stuff to shove in the oven while she waited for her blending to finish liquidizing the product she’d thrown out.

36 (did 8 this time) Throwing a handful of garnish on a plate was a great way to finish it off. Tamiya idly sprinkled cilantro onto her plate of tortillas – if every judge got one small taco, she could make plenty in record time. Another excellent strategy. Tamiya slid a tray into the oven with one hand and folded her creations with another.

44 The stove had been lit now, and the oven was on. Bacon bits would be a decent addition and easy to chop and serve. Fatty pieces of meat touched down in the hot pan, and extra oil caused a flare up from the pan. Tamiya was hyperfocused.

44 Oh s**t. Hivestuck My name is: Tamiya I am in team: Purple My final score was: 44 Tamiya started off doing fairly well. She was playing it safe, making merely 7 dishes at a time as opposed to something more dangero--oh s**t. As soon as Tamiya got comfortable, she had delved into the soda supply under her table. What she didn't know, however, was that this particular batch was -- well -- not exactly handled with care. The (surprisingly flammable) liquid exploded everywhere. Fire exploded every. ********!" Tamiya screamed. Vivid memories of her hive bursting into flames in front of her sent her into panicked throes. The explosion that injured her hearing and then the bombing that took everything from her swarmed her senses. She couldn't think straight. Tamiya flipped her table, and the fire spread. Stunned drones were rather late with their extinguishers as other competitors' tables were also lit aflame. The ******** was spectacular. When the flames died down and Tamiya calmed down, she stood a ways away from the burning black waste she had made. "I do not frequently cook in this quantity," she explained.
