A bit of planning, browsing and some research and Sebastian had a bit of a game plan. At least… he thought he did. During the time, he’d received a message from the supplier; they’d be in about an hour or two which would hopefully be enough time for him to get what he needed to get done. He’d fished out a few items from his bag, setting them on the table to use once he’d retrieved his pokemon.
”Here you go, sir. You’re pokemon are fully healed!” The nurse chimed as she set the tray on the counter. Sebastian gave a relieved smiled, getting up and grabbing the tray with a little bow of his head. "Thank you, I appreciate it!" He remarked and with tray in hand, returned to his seat. Okay, now there was some prep work to do before he went off. He picked up the pokeball that was Gin’s, releasing the Whimsicott in the seat next to him. She gave a little wiggle, blinking and patting the fluff on the front of her head before looking up at him.
"Hey Gin… you okay?" He inquired, grateful for the sound of a friendly chirp. He reached a hand down, gently patting the fluff on her head. "I’m sorry for earlier… I really wasn’t expecting that ice to be so effective." He replied sheepishly. And he really hadn’t. Gin simply stared up at him a moment before wiggling again and throwing her little stub-like arms in the air. "Whimsi!"
Sebastian smiled. Good to see she didn’t hate him or anything. "Good! Then let’s get you set up for battle, okay?" He replied, reaching across the table and grabbing the last two rare candies he hand. Unwrapping each Sebastian offered them both to her, the Whimsicott giving him a look of surprise. Two candies? Just for her?
"Go ahead and eat them. They’ll make you more powerful," Sebastian waved a finger through the air, "And you might learn a move that’ll help." Gin placed a hand to her chin, seeming to contemplate this before chirping and popping both candies happily into her mouth. While she nommed, Sebastian reached for another item, gently slipping an odd looking pair of spectacles onto the top of Gin’s head as well. "There. All set." Gin stopped chewing a moment to give him a quizzical look. "It’ll help focus your attacks… make them more powerful." At least, that’s what the store clerk had told him. The fluff ball seemed fine with it, adjusting them a bit so they sat better on top of her fluff. They certainly seemed stylish!
With that handled, Sebastian moved on to the next order of business. Briefly, he let Deuce out of his pokeball staring in an intense stare match with the slightly less hateful creature. He didn’t hesitate to crush the heart scale and sprinkle the residue on the Sylveon, earning a disgruntled hiss in response. Immediately Sebastian returned him, hoping that the scale had the effect he wanted. With that handled he did a bit more checking, shifting and assuring everything was set before finally nodding in approval and returning his things to his bag. Alright… he was pretty sure he was ready now. He thought anyways.

With everything said and done, Sebastian returned his things to his bag and got to his feet, looping the strap over one shoulder as he did. He picked Gin up into his arms to carry, the Whimsicott clutching to the newly acquired glasses sitting atop her head to assure they didn’t fall as they moved. With everything in order, the pair moved out of the Pokemon Center and too the gym. He was quick about it, not wanting to have to deal with any trainers; making trips back and forth to heal his pokemon numerous times was not his idea of fun. Luckily, Cianwood was rather small and so it wasn’t much of a trek before the pair found themselves standing outside the doors to the gym. Sebastian paused, staring forward as he took a deep breath.
"Alright Gin… let’s do this." He murmured, adjusting the fluff ball as she chirped. Shoving the door open, he paused and stared at the layout of the gym. No really… why were these gyms so massive? They didn’t look that way from the outside. There were ledges leading up towards the ceiling with a massive waterfall in the middle. A bit of squinting and he was fairly certain he could see a figure standing right underneath the waterfall.
Uncomfortably he moved forward, noting that the battle arena seemed to rest in-between, from the door to the waterfall. Sebastian paused again, looking around, uncertain how to go about issuing a challenge. It wasn’t long before someone who seemed to be practicing kicks off to the side noticed him, halting in her drills to approach him.
”Hey there! Are you looking to challenge Chuck?” The young woman inquired, wiping some sweat from her brow. Sebastian gave an uncertain nod and before he could open his mouth, she was off to the waterfall to interact with the figure in it. In about a minute or so, a large fellow with some serious muscles approached, chucking the towel that he’d used to wipe away the waterfall water. ”So you’re the one who interrupted my training!” His voice boomed, practically shaking the ground beneath Sebastian’s feet. The man grinned, hands on his hips as his chest puffed out. ”I’m not going to lie, you don’t look all that tough! My pokemon crush rocks on a daily basis!” He flexed his muscles, eliciting a raised eyebrow from Sebastian.
"Ah well… I assure you. My team is pretty tough." Sebastian retorted, getting nothing but another booming laugh. ”Well then! Let’s get this battle started! It’s a good way to test my training!” Sebastian’s eyebrow remain raised but with a nod, he set Gin down to start the battle. Hopefully he really was as prepared as he claimed…

He hadn't expected his pokemon to take out so easily, especially not by a pink, albeit angry, little ribbon fox. Still though, the surprise was what made the event even more humorous. "I judged you, little man," the gym leader confessed as he approached Sebastian, one giant hand pulled back to rub the back of his head sheepishly. "You and your pokemon, and for that I apologize. So here," from his pockets he withdrew a few items. "it's this gym's badge, the Storm badge, and Fly. This last one, Focus Blast, think of it as an apology gift. You did well, ya oughta be proud."

Sebastian wasn't certain how to feel about Deuce all but one shotting what was probably the man's strongest pokemon in a single pink beam of death. He'd known it was strong but... well damn. To his relief though, Chuck didn't seem to dampened at all about the loss, chuckling and apologizing for his earlier comments about his first impressions. The man couldn't help but give a slight smile in response, raising a hand and waving the remarks off. He didn't even mind the little man comment; he'd probably been called worse at times by mourners after all.
"The best surprises are in small packages." He remarked, glancing down at the offered TMs and badge. Wait... had he said fly? Hot damn! Exactly what he was looking for! Now he just needed a decent sized pokemon to uhm... teach it too. He took the items with a grin, bowing a bit to Chuck. "Thank you so much!" That was one bird down, another to go! Hopefully by now, the supplier was in town. He'd grab the tools and get back to Lilycove in no time! He took a step back, bowing again and even giving a joking flex of his own arm muscles before waving goodbye and heading out the door. Sebastian went straight back to the Pokemon Center to heal his team, growing a bit giddy over his recent win. It hadn’t occurred to him until he’d been putting the badge into its place in his case that he’d earned his fifth badge. It was… impressive really how much he’d accomplished in a short span of time.
He was even happier when his PokeGear went off and the message he’d been hoping for appeared. Some quick directions to where to go to meet the supplier and the second leg of his journey would be done. Once he’d retrieved his team he was off and out, heading down to the beach front. It didn’t take long for him to find the small boat mentioned. He approached cautiously, looking for some sign of life. It wasn’t long before a man that somehow loomed over him appeared, peering at him with a less than approving look as he walked up to the boat.
”Hello.” The man gruffly responded, bushy mustache twitching a bit as he gaze narrowed in a sort of judgmental fashion. Sebastian had to do what he could not to look uneasy. This man… seemed serious.
"Ah… hello." He started, shifting a bit in his stance as he tried to find his words. "I’m Sebastian Gatsby. My farther put in an order-"
”For new tools.” The man finished, startling Sebastian and causing him to stare. A moment of a harsh stare down from the man and finally the long-haired man managed to nod his head. Right, that was exactly why he was here. The man stared him down for a minute or so more before finally nodding, turning and lumbering back to his boat. Sebastian just remained in place, feeling a bit awkward about the whole exchange.
The man returned, a decent sized case at his side, the sand shooting up in a puff as he dropped it down. ”Check it. Make sure it’s right.” Sebastian stared and nodded, immediately kneeling down to his knees and shifting the case to open it. The case top popped up and the young man took a moment to observe the items; etching equipment at its finest. Once he was certain everything looked well, he shut the case and nodded.
"This is everything. Thank you." The man just continued his gruff scare. Sebastian was starting to become unnerved. "Uhm… do I need to pay or anything…?"
”No. It has already been covered.” The man remarked and without much as a goodbye, turned his back on Sebastian to return to the rest of his haul. ”Make sure it gets there.” Right. Absolutely. Sure.
"Ah… yes. Thanks… again." Sebastian murmured, lifting the case up. It was heavier than the man made it seem to be and he found himself struggling a bit to carry it, even with two hands. Oh well, he’d manage. Once he was a decent distance away, he pulled out his PokeGear and made the call to Henry.
”Sebs! Good to hear from you! You get that equipment?” Was the greeting he received, to which Sebastian nodded. "Yup, I did. Should I just ship it home or…,"”Actually, I’m here in Goldenrod. I wasn’t sure if you’d make it in time and I didn’t want your old man getting concerned…,” Ah well.. okay that was understandable. Two days was a bit of a stretch. ”But! If you have it, then you can just bring it over here and I’ll take it the rest of the way. Sound fair?”
"Sure, sure. I’ll see you in a few hours then." With that determined, he put his PokeGear away and hauled the case up again. He just needed… to catch a ride.

”Hey uh, guy?” A voice suddenly spoke up, breaking Sebastian’s thoughts. He’d been trying to figure out what to do about transportation when he realized that none of his own pokemon were quite big enough to carry him. He eyed the woman in question a moment, noting that she’d been on the same ship as the supplier.
"Huh? Ah sorry… did I forget something?" He inquired, thinking that he’d forgotten some kind of protocol in acquiring the equipment. She smiled, arms folded behind her back as she continued. ”No, no! Nothin’ like that!” She offered out a hand. ”The name’s Sandi by the way.”
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, freeing up a hand and shaking the offered one. "Nice to meet you, Sandi." Letting go, he replaced both hands on the handle of the case, catching her attention in the process. ”Ah yes… look I’m sorry for Rick’s attitude back there. He’s a sort of… short worded man.” She apologized, kicking at the sand a bit. Sebastian chuckled, head tilting to the side. "It’s alright. He’s just getting his job done." Sandi scoffed at the remark, clearly seeing through Sebastian’s niceties but nodding nonetheless.
”Ya well, I wanted to make up for more than one problem.” She remarked, apparently deciding not to comment on the fact. She pointed to the case in his hands. ”See, I was responsible for getting that delivered for ya, but things just became a right mess.” Her tone suggested that whatever the right mess was, she didn’t want to discuss it. Sebastian understood, just nodding his head to let her know he was following along.

”So I thought I’d offer you a lift, to make the trip shorter. As a sort of compensation for coming all this way. What do ya say?” She remarked, eyeing him curiously. Sebastian practically perked up at the offer. That was exactly what he needed! "Absolutely! That’d help a lot actually." Especially since he didn’t have any pokemon large enough to carry him. She grinned, seemingly relieved that he was willing to take her offer. Without a pause she pulled out a pokeball and released a rather well sized Togekiss, immediately hopping onto its back.
”Great! Where to then?” She remarked, gesturing for Sebastian to set the case down and climb aboard. It was rather interesting to see how flying on a pokemon was, and with only the slight hesitation he climbed up as well, the Togekiss moving to pick up the case with its mouth.
"Goldenrod please. I’ve got someone who’ll take it the rest of the way from there." He remarked. Sandi nodded, giving the Togekiss a gentle squeeze with her heels to inform it to take flight. It gave a muffled squeak in response, beginning to take to the sky.

Seeing he needed to train as well, Avikna thought perhaps it was time to... distance herself. She wasn't entirely to keen on asking the gloating Rayquaza for her help at the time being regardless. Glancing over to Mave, she found the wolf was gone, flown up into the air to join Leon's Noivern. It made her think about Nijrn. "Zero, can you locate Nijrn?" Avikna asked, as she turned away, pulling out the dex from her bag. The screen lit up, showing a small pixelated screen of grassland. "A daycare? Ertilla is there as well..." So that's were they ended up. "Transfer them here." She added. While Zero did his thing, Avikna adjusted around her team. Putting the two of them on the team, she wanted to use Nijrn in this upcoming battle against Chuck. First she'd have to see how well Nijrn could fight during her leisure time.
Meanwhile, Mave was flying high in the sky with the Noivern, Nova. Sailing up high, the red wolf-like Pokemon stopped in the air, treading air. She watched the Noivern fly some. There were hints that this one was somewhat struggling with flight, something Mave could understand for the most part. In her pre-evovled form, flight was merely a dream. After evolving, things weren't made easier. Floating up some more, the wolf finally continued to fly, going into a dive to glide around in the air.

Calling out Nijrn from her ball, Avikna first thing beckoned the bat over to her. Nijrn hardly argued this command, flapping her tiny wings to gain air before flying over to Avikna. It'd been so long since she'd seen Nijrn, it was good to see she was at least in good health. Though a smile never crossed Avikna's face, Nijrn herself could feel this happiness for her return. Fluttering about a bit in circles, Avikna eventually motioned towards some drift wood. "Let's start training slow, use Acrobatics on that log." Happy to oblige, Nijrn did just that. Fluttering over, the bat started swooping at the log, slashing it with her tiny toe claws.
All the while, Avikna watched, unaware that she was slowly starting to sink into the sand... various places around the beach were also starting to sink. As time passed the quicksand pits started to grow faster and larger. By the time Avikna noticed she was sinking, her feet were already buried, nearly past her ankles. "What the...." She began, lifting a foot out and kicking off the sand from her boots. Stepping down again to pull out her other foot, she sank once more. Attempting this time to walk forward, something seemingly latched to her ankle, forcing her down to her knees into the sand, quickly her body was being dragged under. "Quick sand.. here?!" Looking up, she noticed Mave high up in the sky, Likely still within earshot. Nijrn however was closer. "Nijrn, get over here!" Avikna called, pulling herself back to her feet in the process, only to find one foot fall through the earth, as if... there was nothing under her. "Quickly!" A panic started to cross over her. Nijrn flew over as quick as her little wings could manage, meanwhile, Celcius unraveled his tassle from around Avikna's neck and quickly wrapped it around her arm in an attempt to pull her out. Celcius however... just wasn't strong enough.
Scanning the beach for the male from earlier, she spotted him still not that far in the distance. "Hey! You- Leon!" Maybe he'd be able to help. At this point nearly three quarters of Avikna's body was under the sand, neither Celcius or Nijrn could help, both being so small. Any attempt to grab her bag was made futile, as the strap for it snapped and sank into the sand before Avikna could grab it. "s**t!" She shouted as it happened, reaching around in the sand with her free hand. Was she actually going to die here? Was there an underground cave below them that might hold even a little ray of hope for her to land safely? One this was for sure... she was sick of jumping or falling into holes.

It seemed the interaction, for the most part, was at an end as Avikna busied herself with locating some of her pokemon. Leon took this time to return some of his own pokemon to their balls - Tesla had fallen asleep, and there wasn't really any point to keeping all nearly all his pokemon out at the moment. He would have returned Nova, too, but she was having fun flying around with Mave at the time. Delta was still floating around smugly in the distance, and Kai stayed close to Leon with Inari still on his back. Inari was nibbling cutely on one of Kai's back spikes, though the gator didn't seem to mind. Alright. It was time to really get to training.
However, before he could actually find a battle for Delta or Inari, Leon looked back at Avikna as she called out for him, sounding a bit distressed. And he could see why. She seemed to be sinking into the sand. Not even wasting his breath on an expletive, Leon ran over towards the woman, taking hold of her arm and trying to pull her out. Sure, it might have not been ... the smartest idea, but it was his lifeguard instincts kicking in. "Hang on!" he said, though he started to grow more concerned as he could feel himself being pulled in too. This didn't seem to be a natural thing. Kai naturally came over to help, but ended up getting stuck, too, Inari clinging to his back. s**t.
In trying to rescue Avikna from whatever it was, Leon had gone under with her.

Giovanni arrived in Cainwood a little quicker than he had thought which was suprising because of the storm that was still pushing it's way through Olivine. Giovanniwaited a good amount of time before he received his Pokemon back from Nurse Joy. Then again he did ask her to do a full check up on all of his Pokemon before hand. It was better to be safe than sorry, and to be sorry before facing such a challenge like Chuck was a huge mistake that he was not ready to make. In all honesty Gio trusted his Pokemon so he expected everything to go swimmingly even if it came right down to the wire. Gio did have three aces up his sleeve though. Two Flying types, being his Skarmory and Empoleon. Then of course last but not least his Lucario to tie the knot. If push really came to shove his Aegislash and Metang would both come up strong for him. But at long last he made his way towards the Gym.

Leon listened to Avikna's response, as short as it was. He looked up at the rift she had pointed to. It was a bit far off. Delta didn't allow him the time to think it over, however, simply dipping down and picking him up before flinging him through the rift. She doubled back to grab Kai and Inari, but Kai was heavier than she had expected. "UGH. STUPID LIZARD." she commented, then mustered up her strength to fly them through the portal back into the normal world Cianwood. == Delta dropped Kai as soon as she had the chance, plunging him into the ocean. She thought she had dropped Inari in too. However, she was irritated to find that the fairy fox had managed to cling to her, little needle teeth pricking the scales of one of her 'fins'. Growling a bit, Delta lowered herself to the beach and shook the fox off.

Suddenly, Delta took it upon her self to simply slap Leon off the island and into the portal. Then collect Kai and the fox to escort them out as well. Avikna furrowed her brow. Once back in the over world, Arietty momentarily lost control of her flight, given the shift in... just about everything. A flock of traveling Wingull and Pelliper didn't help either, knocking Avikna from Arietty's back, the red-head plummeted into the deep reaches of the water.
