Nodding he looked at Shedinja then down at his Pokenav, this battle should get Shedinja to fifty then Dusknoir can come back out to battle as well. Returning her Slowking Bree sighed, "Your Pokemon is an amazing one,"she said as Simon nodded in agreement. "I actually have a brother and sister Nidoking and Nidoqueen myself. They were given to me actually by an older woman I met on my travels. They might work well in a double battle but honestly I've never actually had a double battle." Together they went into the Pokecenter, Simon for the PC and Bree for the healing before Bree went off to train up her team. At the PC Simon switched out Shedinja for Dusknoir in order to train the later up with the other Pokemon in order to have Dusknoir added to his Elite Four team. Taking a seat at one of the tables Simon continued to look over Pokemon battles. Looking up he saw that there was a Psychic there who was offering to take trainers to the haunted house. Walking over he asked to be taken there and the Psychic, using his Ralts, teleported him away.

Zak arrived with the egg still in his arms and Rufflet lookin bothered as he landed on his shoulder. It seemed his place had been taken by that oval object... but it gave him a chance to stretch his wings. Not that he really needed the entire trip to Johto to do that, but... Well, thanks to the little device he had happily placed on his head, he seemed to be growing pretty strong pretty fast. He hadn't even started battling yet, though he assumed that was because Zak wanted to wait until he was strong enough to hold his own. Zak waited while Lidia climbed off Sal and recalled her pokemon, but both shot a glance over as a figure approached. "Hoooiii, Yashin! Fancy seeing you here," the man remarked, grinning from behind a pair of rectangular glasses. Zak quirked an eyebrow, while Lidia smirked and gave him a pat on the shoulder. "Have fun," she wished, before leaving with her own pokemon. Zak took a deep breath. "Preevyet, Martello," he remarked lowly. He was wary; this wasn't exactly a friend, and he didn't know the guy that well. He knew enough not to trust him very much. "I've heard you've got a lot of badges. I wasn't expecting to see you here, but... I've been wanting a battle with you. A computer dork like you making waves in the league is something to see for myself, you know," he remarked, pulling out a pokeball.

Zak quirked an eyebrow. "You're not picking very good pokemon here..." he remarked as Martello returned his pokemon. The blond laughed. "Well I didn't know you had a rotom! Most of my pokemon aren't going to do too well here, and I didn't bring a lot with me... How's your search going, by the way?" he added, giving a sly sort of smile as he sent out his next pokemon. Zak eyed the Skarmory, then shifted his gaze back to Martello. "Search for vat?" he drawled back, letting Meebus do the battle mostly for himself. He was fairly certain the Rotom was more than capable of knowing what to do at this point. Weird as Meebus was... he was smart. Almost a little too smart sometimes, in fact.

Martello grinned. "For our pesky defector," he clarified, "For Kail." Zak's expression changed in the most subtle of ways. His jaw set as he stared at Martello. Finally he glanced off to the side, pulling down the sunglasses he'd had propped up on his head, before looking back at him. "He's harder to find zan I sought. But I'm steel looking," he stated flatly, his tone resonating with 'Don't bug me about this'. Martello either didn't catch on, or, more likely, didn't care. "Well, Imperium's getting impatient. He had information, and even if he was no hero type, they don't want him selling it to anyone else. They don't want him telling it to anyone, in fact," he said, gesturing, "And now that you have a team that's pretty much guaranteed to be able to take him down, we all have the utmost confidence in you getting him, Zak."
Zak frowned, bowing his head. "So zis vas a test?" he asked, as Meebus brought down the last of Martello's pokemon. He could hear Lidia approaching from the side. "Oh, no. I really was curious. But I figured I would give you a little reminder all the same," he answered, recalling his pokemon. He smiled, narrowing his eyes and approaching. Reflexively, Zak straightened up, staring skeptically back at him. Martello leaned in, resting his arms over Zak's shoulders with a grin. "This was fun. I look forward to our rematch," he replied, before pulling away. With one final smirk, he turned, walking off.
"You know he was reading your mind just then, right?" Lidia remarked, stopping as she reached him, looking after the blond. "Yes," Zak answered shortly, turning away, "Let's go."
