Flynn seemed to be very focused on the rustling in the bush. It must be a wild Pokémon. Mitsu stood and stood on his toes to try to see the Pokémon. Almost immediately afterwards, a Pidgey shot out of bush and flew over him before landing a few feet away to peck at the ground. Lowering his arms, which had besn raised to defend himself, Mitsu noticed a tear in his jacket sleeve and his eyes darkened. Did that bird just rip his jacket!? He spent months working on this one! Months!"You...! I don't care if you are a Pokémon! You're not getting away with what you did, Pidgey! Flynn, teach that featherbrain a lesson!"Flynn sweatdropped a bit at Mitsukini's sudden anger, and he wasn't going to chance ignoring his command. He had a feeling Mitsu would destroy the Pidgey if he had to take action himself. Rushing forward, Flynn let out a growl to challenge the Pidgey, who didn't seem interested. But, the Charmander ignored it and rushed to strike with Scratch. The Pidgey fell immediately, defeated."My poor jacket....Lady Marissa spent weeks looking for this material....Ugh! Damn bird!""Char....""This is going to take forever to fix."Mitsukini wasn't even paying attention. He must really love his clothes.

As Mitsu examined the damage to his sleeve, bis holo caster pinged and caused him to jump a bit. Taking it out of his bag, Mitsu opened the message from his parents. They'd finally selected an egg for him! Mitsu beamed, suddenly forgetting the rip in his jacket. They told him it had been sent to his PC, as well as who sent it to them, and Mitsu put the holo caster away."Yes! I finally have my very own egg! This is great~!""Mander?"Mitsu looked down at Flynn, who was looking at him curiously. Right. He probably didn't know why he was so excited."I'm from a group of people who receive an egg when they turn sixteen. I had to put mine off so I could focus on work, but I finally get one. It's going to great taking care of an egg and whatever hatches from it."He wondered what they gave him. He was hoping for a Feebas so he could have a Milotic at one point. But, any Pokémon would be adored. Especially since the Shaman and his Alakazam would connect Mitsu and the hatchling. He had to be open-minded about whatever he got. Standing up straight, Mitsu decided to use Oak's PC to retreive the egg. He and Flynn walked in and after getting permission, Mitsu was soon walking outside holding an egg with a big smile on his face. Darren took his first step out of the lab as an official pokemon trainer. This would be the moment he remembered forever, the moment he--!
The moment he tripped and nearly fell flat on his face if he hadn't caught his balance before he fell.
Straightening himself out, Darren and Flynn both let out a somewhat relieved sigh. "Whew! That was a close one eh Flynn?" He chuckled. "Ch-char...." Flynn replied, sweat dropping a bit, earnestly hoping his trainer wasn't the complete goofus he seemed to be sometimes. However, it wasn't entirely Darren's fault he had tripped, because had stumbled over a Rattata rather than his own two feet, (not that anyone would have put it past him if it actually had ended up being the latter) however a angry growl came from behind Darren and the boy turned to see the Rattata he'd tripped over and realized what'd happened. "O-oh!!! Whoops I'm so sorry about that! You aren't hurt are you little guy?"
Flynn rolled his eyes. For goodness sakes, he was going to end up training his trainer at this rate! "Char!" Flynn wriggled out of Darren's arms and landed a hefty scratch on the Rattata, instantly KOing it and then looking to Darren. "Char! Charmander!" The lizard seemed to be looking at him expectantly, like there was something he was supposed to be doing. "...Oh! That's right!" Darren scrambled to grab a pokeball from his bag and threw it at the fainted Rattata. The pokeball instantly rung to signify a successful capture, and Darren's pokedex soon shuffled to life with a new entry on the Pokemon Rattata. "Neat!"Darren smiled, reading up on the pokemon before releasing it into the brush. "You're free to go little guy, sorry again for tripping on you...!" Darren bowed, and the Rattata, now much calmer, twitched it's nose and scampered off.
"Phew..." Darren sighed and scratched his head. "Thank's Flynn, guess my head's still kinda up in the clouds huh? Let's see if we can find any other pokemon to catch around here huh? Plus we need to train together a lot to get you stronger too!" He suggested, and Flynn nodded in agreement. "Char!" He tightened his stubby little arm trying to show off his strength by flexing and flaring his tail ember.

Darren made his way over to the trees nearby and lifted his face up to the sky with a smile. "Hey Flynn! Over here! I'll bet you we could find some pokemon up in this tree!" He suggested, though Flynn didn't seem so sure that this was a good idea. Nevertheless, Darren clung to the tree and attempted inching his way up like a Caterpie. "Char...?" Flynn cocked his head to one side, and then clamored on top of Darren and then higher up into the tree with ease. "Oh! Huh you're really good at climbing trees... You know what, maybe you should scout out up there, I'll just uh... Han around. Heheh..." He had to laugh at his own punny jokes, no one else would otherwise.
Flynn wasn't really listening though, his sharp eyes locked onto a Pidgey. He quickly sprang forward into action and landed another KOing scratch, which he was satisfied with, however now he had a mass of feathers up in a tree that Darren couldn't climb, which meant he couldn't catch the pidgey. Flynn frowned, assessing the situation. Well, they were in a tree, so Flynn shoved the Pidgey off the branch they were on and watched it fall towards the ground, however the bird began to recover and quickly and flew off before it hit the ground, and Flynn sighed with annoyance, hopping back down to Darren. "Char!" He pointed out the escaping Pidgey, alerting Darren that he was missing his chance. "Ah! W-wait!" Darren grabbed another pokeball from his bag and began to chase after the pokemon, and even chucked the pokeball high into the air, but no dice. The pidgey was already long gone, and the pokeball only came sailing back to the earth, hitting Darren hard on the head with a thick CLUNK.

Flynn frowned with worry at his trainer's side, and Darren chuckled. "Aw c'mon I'm fine buddy. I think the Pidgey went this way, so maybe we'll find it again somewhere in that direction." Darren suggested, looking on the bright side of things as always. "Charmander!" Flynn nodded in agreement, and Darren offered his arm for Flynn to climb up on before he stood up and brushed himself off, then started to head down the road towards Viridian City.

【 Making her way to Pallet Town, Savannah stopped by the entrance, looking in all directions as to where she should head to next. Zippo snuggled on her shoulder, rubbing his head gently against her neck. The young girl giggled, petting her Charmanders head soothingly. "You're so sweet, Zippo. Awe." She smiled, releasing her hand from petting him, and began to look around again. Pallet Town was pretty big, and she could see Oak's Lab from where she was standing. It was all the way out in the back on a hill with a windmill standing right beside the building. She had lived in this exact region, but not this town. Cerulean City was her hometown, but this town had a much more different vibe to it.
Walking along the road, she wandered aimlessly, unsure of where to head next. There were so very many places to visit! But that had also made the choice even harder, as she could only pick one. But she wanted to keep her great day going, so she'd have to pick somewhere to continue getting the best out of the day. But staying in this region didn't seem to want to stick with her, she wanted to adventure farther out! To see new sights! But for now, she'd go look around. There was no rush to the next town after all, it's not like she had anything to look forward to. Savannah continued on down the road, taking note of everything that seemed to catch her eye, remembering it in her head. She skipped along the road, her adventure may have just begun, but the beginning was when the fun would start! She'd have to work hard to be something great, but for now she was going to take it slow and easy! 】

【 Skipping right on along, Savannah stopped dead in her tracks as she had just realized something that she had always wanted to do. If anything, now was as good as a time as any. Sitting down on the road, she took her Tyrunt shaped Book bag off, and unzipped it. She grabbed a Pikachu shaped camera out, and showed it to her Charmander. "See, this is my camera! As a little girl, I'd always wanted to create a memory journal! But I wanted to wait till when I was old enough to go on a journey. But here we are now, traveling together! Let's take a picture to remember this day forever!" Zippo smiled, curling around her neck and looking straight to where Savannah was pointing the camera. Placing it right, and getting them both in perfectly, she soon snapped the button and up came a bright flash. A picture printed out from the Camera, and the girl took hold of it, grabbing her memory book from her bag. She opened it up to the first page, placing it in the first slow right in the pocket comfortably. For a moment, she started at it. Next, she took some hard paper out from her bag and used scissors that was also in her bag to cut out words. Putting the un needed stuff back, she took out glue and squeezed some on the bottom. She closed the glue back up, returning it to her bag. Placing the words below the picture, it had read, first day of journey!
Placing her hand on it to push down and make sure it was on strong enough to hold it, she released it and closed it, hugging the binder to her heart. "I'll treasure this forever.." She whispered, placing it back in her bag carefully as to not ruin it in any way. That was when she noticed the picture frame in her bag, picking it up nearly in tears, but held them back. Zippo crawled down to take a peak, tilting his head with curiosity. Savannah noticed Zippo was interested in looking at it, putting it away quickly before he noticed. "I'm so sorry Zippo, that's just something I'm not comfortable with sharing. Please understand. Please don't let that ruin what we have so far.." Zippo shook his head, if that was how she felt, then that was perfectly fine with him! To him, he didn't mind. He didn't want to force her to show him anything anyways, that wouldn't be right. Zippo cuddled her neck again, showing affection. "Thank you so much for understanding! Come on, let's continue!" Returning her camera and anything she left out back in her bag, she began Zipping her bag back up and swinging it back around her shoulders, she began to continue on. 】

【 As the road had led on for miles and miles, Savannah began to wonder whether to just wander around aimlessly or find something productive to do with her time. The daybreak was still breaking through as the sun shown warmly above the sky, but the day didn't last forever. She would have to find something to do eventually or at least somewhere to go. Reaching a very long way beyond the town, she stopped to look around and think some. What would other trainers do in this situation? She didn't really know, but than again, maybe it didn't matter. She was traveling on her own, and if she was going to be an adult, than she would have to think of somewhere to go on her own. Who knew being an adult would prove so difficult. Being a child was always so easy, than again, she still technically was a child. But, it felt so weird at this age having no parents to help her find her way. Everyday she had missed them, and everything she did felt so lonely. She had no one to call, or anyone to tell about the stories on her journeys. Not like she had much to say anyways, besides meeting the famous Professor Oak!
Savannah wished she could have taken a picture with him, but she was afraid he might be busy and she didn't wish to continue on interrupting his line of work, so she just let it go. It didn't matter anyways, she would always remember the day she had met him. And treasure that forever. She was just glad her memory was spot, she could remember a lot of stuff. Of course there was a few she'd rather not remember, but whatever. Looking around, the young girl nearly walked into a building, when Zippo poked at her, wondering what she was doing. For a moment, she stood still and realized what she almost walked into. "Oh oops, my bad. Thanks Zippo." She thanked him, looking ahead. Out in the distance, seemed to be the train station. "Ohhh! Lets go ! Cmon!" She wanted to go to another town, another region. Anywhere, as long as she was traveling and sight seeing, she was happy. Entering the train station, she made her way to the back where the train resided, walking in and pushing herself through the crowds of people. As long as Zippo was on her shoulder, there's no way he would get lost in the crowd. She began to take a seat, settling in. From there on was the wait, than the departure. [Exit to New Bark Town] 】

Just as expected, Cyrus made straight for the train station, making sure not to be standing out in the crowd. Luckily, there were more people around using the trains and whatnot because of the festival. While waiting for the next train to arrive, he found more info on the festival by a poster nearby. Darren was really glad Jin all too happily conversed with him about the Tanabata. "Oh man! That sounds really fun! So you've been to a Tanabata before? It's fine if there's no rides really, I'm just more imagining a carnival I guess, but if it's more like a county fair then I guess it makes sense there isn't any rides." Darren mused as they walked into Pallet Town. They were a bit too busy chattering excitedly about expectations of the festival that neither of them seemed to notice Sable's growing reluctance to tag along.
When Darren recognized the change in scenery as they entered Pallet town, he paused from the conversation and glanced around. "Now I know that I saw a train station around here somewhere...." Darren said thoughtfully, glancing around. "Though I guess if we're gonna take the train, I should make it easier on everyone else and take up less space huh?" Darren suggested with a chuckle, returning all of his pokemon except for Flynn and Bolt. While Darren was still a bit miffed at the Pichu, he did want to travel around with it to see if maybe he could make the Pichu understand who he was and start to form some kind of bond with the newest member of his team. Flynn just had always been out and traveling alongside Darren, and could be helpful in case Bolt tried anything.
While Darren continued to search for the train station however, his eyes spotted a pidgey pecking leisurely at the ground, and his eyes lit up. That was no ordinary Pidgey! Had he actually managed to finally spot a shiny pokemon in the wild? "Ah! Flynn look!" He pointed the Pidgey out excitedly. "This time we've gotta catch it Flynn, we can't let this Pidgey escape like last time!" Darren insisted, getting ready to capture it, but before Flynn could start their zerg rush, Bolt ran ahead of them and stood firm. "Pi chu pi pichu? Pi. Pichu pi. Pi-CHU!" Jin nodded a few times at Darren's query."Yeah, once. Not out here, though, and it was a long time ago. It was still a lot of fun and it's even better if you go with friends~"he replied, turning his head to grin at Sable before going back to listening to Darren. He didn't seem to notice that his trainer was still uncertain about going along and wouldn't have thought much of it if he did notice. For all he knew she just didn't like crowds or something. That wasn't too uncommon, and it wasn't like it'd be that much of a problem. If she had a hard time being comfortable around the events themselves then they could just explore the islands the festival was being held on.
Sable nodded a bit when Darren mentioned something about a train station."Uh, yeah. I remember it being somewhere down that way,"the teen replied as she motioned towards where she had arrived from when she first arrived in Kanto. She then unclipped Oaken's ball and held it towards the Snivy, having to carefully hold her Eevee with one arm for the moment being."Sorry Oaken, but don't wanna have too many team members out on the train,"she said as she returned the grass serpent to his ball then clipped the ball back onto her belt so she could use both arms to hold her Eevee once again. It seemed that Darren had also recalled most of his teammates and only left out the Charmander and the Pichu.
While on their way to the station it seemed that something captured Darren's eye and that something was a shiny Pidgey. He seemed to get really excited about it since it was, well, a shiny Pokemon, although Sable wasn't really in a position to share his excitement. She did happen to have four shiny Pokemon of her own and a couple of Pokemon that were rare without being shinies. Not that it wasn't special, it was just not as much so for her and Jin as it was for Darren. His excitement did get a few giggles out of the female trainer, though, especially when the Pichu ran up to chastise his trainer for picking a fire Pokemon over an electric type. Not that Sable could understand what the little Pokemon was saying, but considering it just zapped the little Pidgey to kingdom come it was kinda obvious why it wanted to step in.
Sable's Eevee huffed in an unimpressed manner at the shocking display from the pint-sized Pokemon. So the little guy had a strong move. Big deal, he had a couple of power moves himself. He also knew better than to say it this time around since he was currently being cuddled by his trainer. He could handle an electric attack or two, but he was pretty sure that the teen would be feeling it for a while if the little rodent sent one of those Thunderbolts at her. At the same time, Sable's giggles had changed to subdued chuckles and she gave Darren a smile."Congratz. I'm guessing you haven't had any luck with them up until now?"the teen asked as she walked over to the tan-haired male.
Jin, who had been continuing towards the train station, paused once he noticed that his conversation disappeared. The disguised Zorua looked around a moment, then spotted Sable talking to Darren and that the male had a Premier Ball in his hand."Oi! The festival's not gonna last forever!"the dark-haired male called out, cupping a hand around his mouth as he did so."C'mon! We don't want it to end before we get there!"The dark type then turned back around and picked up his pace as he made his way to the train station.
Sable frowned before jogging towards her partner."Jin! It's not like they're going to be packing up in a few hours! W-wait up!"she called after the Zorua, tacking on the last sentence as Jin also started into a jog towards the train station. The Eevee didn't mind the increase in pace and was actually enjoying the ride for the most part, yipping in amusement in an attempt to encourage his trainer to move faster. Of course, the full meaning was lost on the human, but she at least noticed that the normal type was enjoying himself.

Yes, but he still likes playing human. XD Although things get a little weird with the ability's definition once battle starts. I figure either he'd stick with whatever he looked like when a battle starts or just drop the illusion completely if he's in an appearance that doesn't fit with the ability's official definition, like starting in human appearance until something hits and damages him if a random Spearow decides to swoop in and start pecking at him or just dropping things fully if he steps in during a trainer battle when he'd been standing by Sable the whole time as a human previously. It's not exactly as per the rules, but it makes more sense than Jin shifting his appearance to the appropriate Pokemon when he actually steps up since the whole point is that you don't know that it's a Zorua until you hit it or things don't match up. XD

Darren was relieved that Sable could confirm there was a train station near the area, now if only he could actually find it. He did spot a rare color of Pidgey though, which he gladly accepted as a sighting. He was actually rather impressed with the Pichu's power, unlike Sable's Eevee. After capturing the Pidgey, he smiled as Sable congratulated him, though Bolt grumbled a bit when his trainer didn't manage a thanks for saving him the trouble of a harder battle. "Haha thanks! Yeah Flynn and I saw a Pidgey when we first left the lab. Flynn took it out, but it flew off before I was able to catch it. I'm kind of glad I didn't though, because now I have this one!" Darren said excitedly. Sure a Pidgey wasn't the most impressive Pokemon to have around, but Darren was elated all the same to have just found a shiny Pokemon.
Jin wasn't quite as patient with them however, apparently having spotted the train station and called out to them to essentially tell them to get their hinds moving quickly, otherwise he just might leave without them. "Uh oh... We're in trouble!" Darren laughed, running after Jin and Sable to catch up and make his way to the train station. Darren then approached the booth and smiled at the woman running it. "Heya! So what's a guy gotta do to get a few tickets to the Sevii islands around here?" Darren asked, displaying a bit of friendly boyish charm for once instead of his usual dorky persona.
Odds were he'd ruin it shortly, but for now the woman smiled at him and printed out three tickets for himself, Sable, and Jin. "Alright, here's the deal sweet pea, you take these tickets and you flash em to the depo man in the green uniform over there, but you keep the tickets 'cause the train'll take ya as far as the port, where you'll board a ship called the Seagallop. That'll take you folks right to the Sevii islands. Got it?" She explained, handing Darren the tickets. "Show to the green jacket guy, keep tickets, Seagallop, Sevii islands. Got it. Thank you!" Darren grinned, turning to Sable and Jin to hand them each their tickets. "Did you guys get all that...?" Darren asked the two, just to make sure everyone was on the same page.

Lol yeah I'd imagine that's hard to do without planning firsthand to use him in battle and returning him before Sable goes to the gym. But illusion as an ability in an RP setting in general is really hard to implement.
