Xuza started a little when Takeshi's hand reached her. She didn't really think he'd follow all the way, and in her distress she lost track of him behind her altogether. All she could think about was a future already gone.
I need to change it... But how? It already happened. Not even Takeshi's magic can erase that. "...I'm sorry." She said it more in giving up, more to herself that is. Xuza clearly had a lot to learn about the workings of time (don't we all?). But it was impressive how far she came in such a short time. The other day she didn't even know how EM induction worked!
"Takeshi... You heard him. I don't think I can put you through all that again." She was silent for a moment and then continued.
"If he's telling the truth, then I'll just end up abandoning you again. I don't think I can do that... Not after all the adventures we're supposed to have."
"The longer I stay, the more you'll remember me, and the more you'll tell your kids about me. I can't put you and Takara through that that again," she repeated.
"If I leave now, you'll have a chance to forget about me and live a happy life with your family... Please, Takeshi," the tears were starting to well up now, "don't sacrifice your happiness for me when all I do is run away in the end!"

➟For the first time ever, Takeshi was beginning to see himself in his future self. His friend was making valid points. After he had met Xuza he didn't think twice about focusing on Charlie and gathering souls, or even getting groceries for his home, but just her. A lot of the time they spent together already seemed filled with laughter and happiness, but now he would have to go through all the bad. Just look at what was happening now. He could have stayed at the house and tried to mend the broken relationship between his future son and himself, but instead he was here, with Xuza. Time seemed to already begin repeating itself, Takeshi was doing the same thing his future self did, make Xuza the center of his attention. Always chasing after her trying to be that shoulder to cry on, but was it a burden to him? Has it ever crossed his mind that Xuza was holding him back, that she had too much baggage to be a friend of his? "That was a lot, are you sure you are done?"He waited for a small period of time to pass, just to make sure that she was. "You don't need to be sorry, if anything it's my fault for not being smart enough not to follow you. I wanted to put myself through all of this. We are friends, best friends apparently, this is what they do for each other." He himself had to pause. Clearly he wasn't ready for the whole speech on why they shouldn't part ways, even though it was probably a good idea. "Abandon me? Well yeah, but what if things change? What if we can really make a difference in our future? There is still a chance you won't do that, and we can stay friends, but only if we put what he told us to use. There are others that will be involved you know, I can't leave you to kill Paradox alone after finding out all of that! It would just be wrong... I'm not going to be the one to abandon you, nor will I allow you to do the same back to me. It is also my intention to keep sacrificing my happiness, because your worth it." He noticed her crying and immediately felt awkward. Nothing like that ever happened before. People were beginning to stare at the couple as well, and that was something he really didn't want, but he remembered that it wasn't about them and went back to focusing on Xuza.

Sure, Takeshi could be right and there could be ways to change this future now, but there is also the very real possibility of this future, and most specifically Xuza's path to and involvement in its creation, being a self-fulfilling prophecy.
"And what if we can't? What if we thought that last time, spent God knows how long trying to stop it, and it ended up the way we see it now?" Said Xuza oblivious to her stumbling into the point expressed above.
"If I leave now, then there'll be no way any of that can happen... Takeshi, what do you want?" She turned to face him now after wiping a tear from her eye. It was finally sinking in: his life revolved around the solar gravity of Xuza's vendetta, and this was something she couldn't ignore. When Xuza would finally collapse, where would the rest of them go? Get out! Go as far as you can! While you still have time.
It would seem easy to tell him this in any other way that didn't involve actually telling him, but she knew he knew, and he didn't care... Why?
After this exchange Xuza would turn her head away again, and upon doing so catch a gremlin on a roof. Her head snapped back. It was a person!
"Who...?" She whispered to herself. Craning her neck, she focused her eyes to try to make out who it was. The only person she'd met with red hair lately was the guy from the plains. What was he doing here?

➟Takeshi placed his hands on his hips and cocked an eyebrow up. "You know, Xuza. I'm beginning to think you are a real negative nancy. See? You aren't the only one that could make time old remarks."Of course he added in some sarcasm to his voice when he told Xuza what he was beginning to think of her. He was well aware that they had passed that point, Xuza was a total downer, at times. "We will change the future. Stop worrying about me. I'm just fine worrying for the both of us. What I want more than anything is to be a hero. You know, I never would have expected us to be hurdling through time in the matter of a few days since we met, you are bound to have adventure and excitement following you. With all that experience I can get stronger and become a true hero!" His arms fell back to his sides. "Aren't I selfish? Wanting to stay with you just to make my wish come true? I assure you it isn't just that, as a matter of fact the other thing that I want eclipses that entirely. What I mostly want, right now, is to see you happy. Paradox always seems to be interfering with your life, so if I help you...finish her, then I want to. Maybe then you won't find a reason for storming out of peoples houses, huh?" The boy nudged the girl with his shoulder and smiled. His optimism was seemingly endless. When he saw her looking off somewhere else he wondered why. He tried mimicking her to see if he could spot what she was looking at as well.

"Takeshi..." She was about to address what Takeshi had said, even though it had its effect already, until Emit made an almost slapstick entrance. At least he stuck the landing. Kudos! That's not an easy save.
"Hey, you're that guy from the plains." She gave him a quick once over. "I don't see why not. I think we both know I need a distraction at this point." She swept her hair out nervously and with some sleight of hand took care of a stray tear. She smiled at Takeshi.
"Well, mister... Lead the way." She gave him a chance to introduce herself.

➟The meister had recognized Emit, he was the one that had helped with Leo, but bailed right after to help Mirai. It was what they were sent to do so there would be no point in arguing over that, but Takeshi really was hoping he would have stayed and helped with Xuza's plan. "Food? Oh. Is that so?"Emit's offer had come out of nowhere, but Takeshi wouldn't object. All the while he did have important matters to attend to such as learning of Mina and his future wife, as well as making things between Takashi and his father good again, but what harm could a little food do? "I guess that couldn't hurt." He didn't know if Emit had offered to take both of them, or just Xuza. Whatever the case he didn't mind leeching off the offer.

Lily Treinna (Queen of Darkness) ____________________ Lily would eventually find her way to the center of the city "wow the place is nice to roam...no one has even realized who i am yet...so i can roam quite easily" she said having her arms behind her head "maybe thats what it feels like to you" she said looking back at Eva or in new terms Lucerne. "must be nice for you too...you get to roam the city without being hunted down " she said smirking as she looked around seeing many people around but none of them took notice to her or that she knew of, she was listening in to their conversations as she roamed for any information.

Lucerne jumped in right behind Lily looking around, it had been ages ever since she stepped freely around the city. It was a nice detail. One could tell she was as excited about this trip as Lily, if not more. "Of course! Everything looks so different now. It's like I've travelled through time." She giggled in excitement while the mini golem peeked around over lily's shoulder. Giving metallic sound here and there every time something picked it's interest, tho they were more likely rocks or electronics. Even now he had times he wished for a snack.
Lily Treinna (Queen of Darkness) ____________________ Lily just listened to her not looking directly at her but she knew shew as happy "yea..well thats exactly what its like for me...and its not even a synonym of it" she explained as she heard Bob "try not to get too excited bob...we need to focus and roaming aimlessly will stop that idea" she told him as she continued to walk around hearing rumors about the people from the past but nothing on the reasoning or how to undo it which made her sigh.

Bob would keep sounding at every possible snack. While Lucerne patted Lily's back. "Don't worry, once they know about it I'm sure the rumors would fly to your ears." She commented with a wide grin while observing the surroundings. It was way better than being locked in a shrine, despite the war tho.
Lily Treinna (Queen of Darkness) ____________________ Lily looked back at her "oh i know...but its still annoying when everyone talks about stupid things like crushes...what clothing one wants to wear, and weekend plans" she said as she glanced at different people every time she gave a alternate conversation instead of the one she wanted, as if she was pointing out their conversations for Lucerne. "it might just be wiser to go to one of the mains here...we have Rashi...Vincent..i think his name is...hes probably one...Kain...weird name so ill probably cross him out" she said tapping her chin
