Feline Youma Ser Pounce is dusted! Masked Youma Kevan [50 - 18 - 12 - 1 - 3 - 4 - 5 = 8HP] is targeting Squire Palatine! [2dmg] The masked youma doesn't seem to notice the rest of its companions falling. Nor does it seem capable of concentration upon anyone but Squire Palatine, upon whom it turns its limbs for one more blow. Griffon Youma Clare is dusted! Massive Youma Jessel is dusted! Sirene, remember to take your ten damage for earthquake.

[[Babylon Knight -- 190 HP -- is targeting Kevan for 12 dmg!]]
Not that he was about to let his summons's odd behavior get him down or anything like that, though. The fact that the youma was concentrating on Palatine made this the perfect opportunity for Babylon to strike from its blind spot. He'd had good luck with his lantern once before against the huge creature - perhaps he'd have just as good luck now?
"On your left!" he called to Palatine, rushing towards the youma, lantern swinging. It was wearing Avalon's face, and he hated it for that. He'd prove its trickery. He'd show it for the monster it really was.

Squire Palatine – 128 – 2 = 126 HP What ended up being the youma's final attack on her nicked Palatine in the side, tearing a gash in her jacket but only just scraping the skin beneath. It didn't even manage to draw blood. A voice calling to her alerted her to an incoming attack, and Palatine wasted no time hopping out of the way.
It wasn't as satisfying to watch someone else finish off the youma as it would have been if she'd done it herself, but the important thing, she reminded herself, was that it was now gone.
“Thanks,” she said. Her tone was short and clipped with fatigue, but not unappreciative. “Nice swing you've got there.”
Palatine was mildly envious that he had a weapon that could actually be used as a weapon. She hadn't even bothered to summon her teapot yet, useless as it was in battle. She considered it now as she looked over herself, and glanced around at all the others to catalogue their injuries.
“Does anybody feel like they need to be healed?” she called out to the crowd. With a flick of her wrist her teapot was called from subspace. She grasped it by the handle, prepared to use some of the warm tea on herself if no one else stepped forward.
They had few choices from here. Staying in the village seemed to her the better option for now, if only because there was shelter available and it would be easier to keep track of one another than entering the forest, the terrain of which they didn't know and could therefore become easily separated as they searched for... whatever it was they were doing here.
Avalon, right. Something about Avalon, and Chaos where it shouldn't be.

Eternal Sailor Chariklo - 177HP
Panting slightly from pain, Chariklo hurried over to where Hvergelmir sat and knelt at her side, gently brushing hair from her face and looking her over. Sunset eyes narrowed angrily to see the damage done to her friend, though none of that anger escaped. Instead, the tall Eternal dropped a light kiss on the top of the Knight's head.
Ears perking when the very pink Page mentioned healing, Chariklo raised her arm high in the air and whistled loudly, eyes never leaving Hver.
"Over here, please! If you could hook a couple of girls up with some sweet healing, that'd be fab!" And then, in a softer voice meant for Hver's ears only, she murmured, "And no arguing, you. I'm not losing you to any noble sacrifices again, okay?"
Rocking back on her heels slightly, she studied the village. Once they were all taken care of and accounted for, they'd have to move. She couldn't see Babylon hanging about if his girlfriend was in trouble. Of the apparent choices, she couldn't say she liked either. Her last time in a Church had left her with some serious issues and it would be so easy to set up an ambush for them in the forest.
"For what it's worth," she spoke slowly to the group as a whole, "which ever way we go, we should go as a group. Trust me when I say that those four monsters were a very small part of the party that's here. And that being said, the way to the lady in the gold bubble is back that way," she stated matter-of-factly as she pointed to the forest she'd come running through.

Comforted by Chariklo's presence as much as her affectionate care, Hvergelmir took the time to collect herself and slowly rise to her feet. Thanks to whatever had just happened with her cloak, her cuts and scrapes were all knitting themselves back together with an alarming, tingly expediency, and her shoulder seemed to have popped back into place on its own. Even the pain in her hand had completely passed -- though when she looked down to marvel at this, she noticed that while her hand was looking quite whole and normal, it shook involuntarily in a way that made her suspect it was not quite as mended as it appeared -- it just wasn't causing her any pain. Slow, careful experiments in flexion confirmed her fingers were only barely responding to her attempts to move them properly. She dropped that hand back to her side. Other than its odd shaking, she felt good. Very good, in fact -- like she could go out and run a marathon. Small favors, Hvergelmir thought. Wary of the unfamiliar landscape, she looked around once more. In Mistral, they had had more help than this, more guidance. However badly it had gone, they'd had Mistral to guide them -- and that, she suspected, had spared them worse fates. Here they didn't have the same option -- their host, according to Chariklo, was unconscious nearby. What they also hadn't initially realized, though, at Mistral, was that they hadn't been alone. While they'd been struggling on their floor, other knights had suffered their own trials. She could still remember their screaming voices over the intercom system when Mistral hadn't gone to mute fast enough. "Thank you," she said with a grim smile to Chariklo and Palatine, grateful for the suggestion. "I'm mostly healed, but I think my hand's maybe still broken, if you have something for that? There's no pain, it's just -- not working very well." Then, raising her other hand near her mouth, she looked down at her signet ring. Where some of her other bangle jewelry had sustained significant damage, the ring was completely unblemished. Whatever it was made of was clearly something actually much more durable than rose gold. She knew the signet ring worked -- she'd used it to chat with Avalon recently. " Call Kairatos of Mars?" Hvergelmir said to it. With her luck, he'd be at home, sitting on some couch watching Tattoo Nightmares. In that case, she'd try Mimisbrunnr or Ida or Sarras next. It would help to know if they were the only ones the Code (she assumed) had pulled to Avalon or not. And anyway, at least then someone would know where they were. Shibrogane Please let me know if for any reason the call will not complete as dialed <3

"Thanks," Babylon said appreciatively to Palatine - he supposed he'd stolen what was rightfully her kill, but the only good youma was a dusted one, and he'd been rather angry about the face-stealing thing. He went to go crouch by Chariklo and Hvergelmir, hoping that the corrupt senshi might have useful intel about where Avalon was - and he was rewarded handsomely. "I think we should head for the forest, then," said Babylon, "There's not going to be any safety in the church - we'll just be heading into an enclosed space, and the Negaverse will sense us. Like fighting in a Basement." He'd seen a lot of movies. Never fight in a basement. "Let me see your hand," said Babylon softly, reaching for Hvergelmir's wrist. "I don't know what immediate relief this will be good for, but I think it might make it heal a bit faster." It was as easy to pass energy to her as it was to pass it to Mistral - or Titan, for that matter. "Near-death experiences have their upsides, I guess. That and the neat glowing marks. Chariklo, I can help you too, if you'd like." He offered a hand to the senshi. "I've got this spare energy thing going on. I'm assuming you got the transcendence talk at some point in the crazy future dream?" Romeo Wilco Any health buff for transcendence magic?

Page Ba Sing Sei - 85HP
"Are you insane?!" Ba Sing Sei's voice rang out, disbelieving as he all his hobbled his way on other to some of the 'good' powered individuals. He didn't know any names besides the kid's, of course. "At least the church, we know the size, we know the scope, and once we take out any enemies inside, we can formulate some kind of defense strategy -- or something -- "
He'd also seen his share of horror movies with his wife after the kids went to bed, a bowl of popcorn tucked between them. Suddenly his shoulders slumped as he sighed. "I don't know." When he really thought about it, neither choice seemed great. But, "Anything just seems better than a forest." His trick knee was already hurting from the smack against the cobblestone. If it came down to running through the forest to save his life, he honestly didn't know how it would turn out. He clutched his stupid, useless cabbage a little closer and got quiet.

Sailor Phact: 90HP
The creatures were down and dusted. The others were healing each other, and Phact stood back watching the area around them. The senshi was quiet as she glanced towards the knight and page. Each did have a point but as she walked towards them, the red eyes looked from one to another.
"Sir..." She addressed the knight politely and yet, cooly "You said you and Avalon were close? Have you been here before? Is there any place that would be holy to her? Maybe that is where she is. The wonder protecting her since it isn't protecting itself."
Her eyes then turned towards the page and nodded. "What if we split up? Half explore the town and half the woods?"
Okay, so she hadn't seen horror movies but still....

Scout Sandrine Health: 89
Everything had come together, or exploded into dust as it were, which was a lot better than being mailed to ribbons or pancaked. Or liquidated. Or anything a body wasn't generally supposed to do. Sandrine pushed up from the cobbles and moved closer to the group and seeming leaders of the venture- mostly fluff n'stuff with the lantern mace who seemed to have an idea of what was going on and punk feathers that said she'd come from the forest with Scarfson McRedpants. Isn't that a play title, Into the Woods?
"if the princess isn't in the castle, let's take the garden tour. I mean, we gotta save someone, right? So let's go get 'em. If this is avalonia, I doubt the grave sight and important stuff is in a town hall. Nymphs or fae or whatever would be burying people outside. At least that's the impression I got from the end of Excalibur....."
Carmina Burana and all.

While the remaining area seems fairly clear of Chaos, there is an alarming pulse of powerful Chaos magic that comes from the direction of the beach area. Perhaps it would be better to head into the forest and away from... whatever that was. Silverah +50, like any other healing magic smile Shazari Your call will go through just fine!

Hvergelmir sighed with momentary relief when she felt a tiny thrum of energy of the communicator establishing some sort of connection. A little holographic projection of a familiar knight of Mars hovered in the air over her signet ring, Princess Leia style. "Hi," she said quickly, "So this is a weird question, but where are you right now?"

The tiny projected image of Kairatos looked both startled and perhaps a bit puzzled, less battle worn, though he was bleeding from an apparently shallow gash on his leg "I um... I think it's a wonder? It's a big tower and... ******** if I know what happened but I think someone just dropped a Chaos bomb." He crinkled his nose and repressed the urge to shudder in the wake of the shock wave. "Where are you? Are you ok? What's going on?" He demanded, before adding, for her information "Thraen and I are about to move on a Captain who was chucking some Youma at us." He glanced to the side, to the unseen senshi of Gardens and added as an apparent aside. "She's fast." Shazari Help me Obi Wan you're my only hope!

Hvergelmir nodded, taking in the information as quickly as she could -- including Kairatos's apparent injury. "Okay, yeah -- " She glanced around reflexively, as though it would enable her to see his surroundings rather than her own, but to no avail. " -- we're at Avalon, I think you guys are probably here too. We just dealt with some youma, but we didn't see any agents -- " Again she looked around fruitlessly, but this time in hopes of seeing hidden Negaverse agents that might be lurking around corners somewhere. "Chariklo says there are Negas back in the woods -- and that Avalon Page is there, too. Can you see a forest around you? We're in a town -- do you guys want to try and make your way to us? Should we come to you? Do you need backup -- how many are with you? We're eleven total."

“Does anyone have any water…?” Oberon asked, his voice sounding strained as he clutched his left arm, his hand gloveless. The green acid that made contact with his skin still burned, even after the youma had disappeared. He dared not rub at it more than he already had, afraid that irritating the already damaged skin would cause it to break. And he would rather not get blood poisoning or gangrene or whatever other horrible things he was probably going to end up getting anyway.
Everyone seemed to be concentrating on where to go next, and while it hadn’t started raining yet, he really wished it did. Now that everything was settling down, Oberon was back to feeling like the child he really was. Overlooked at store counters, passed off as a nuisance.
Things were much better when there was a youma to beat up. At least he could prove he was useful then. But he didn’t need the adults’ help anyway. He had plenty of survival skills, and even without water, he knew some cool soil would help ease the pain.
Ignoring the others and their indecisiveness, the senshi of Adventure turned to head towards the forest. All of this talking was stressing him out, and he was already in enough pain.
