Noah took the shot, put the glass down, and tried not to cough. "Do you, like, get used to the taste?" he muttered plaintively. The flavor was nice, but the burn and fume of alcohol was still something he wasn't entirely sure he liked. He startled a little when Taym greeted them and ducked his head in a respectful nod, still vaguely intimidated and hoping that the older man hadn't heard his complaint, because that had been kind of wimpy. Another shot was set down in front of him, and Tracey was off again before Noah could thank him. More people were arriving, and Noah didn't mind chaotic, not quite, but he wasn't quite sure what to do with a party, either. He spotted Leslie and Jack, and was sort of grateful that neither of them seemed to have noticed him, because that was a little too much abrasive concentrated in one spot. "There's a lot of people," he commented. cherno astra no interaction just lookin

"Hmm? Oh, um." Peyton gave her empty shot glass a thoughtful look, then shrugged. "This is a lot better than the whiskey I had when my arm got messed up. That I just drank straight, and it had one hell of a bite." Her nose wrinkled at the thought, and she nudged the empty shot glass away, only to have it be replaced by Tracey again. The fallen's soft comment had her grinning, and she made a little kissy face at him before he could wander too far. "Such a sweetheart." It made her wonder about Rep, and how he'd be without the angel in his head. Honestly, it probably could have gone either way, he was such a wild card. Taym's arrival, and question, earned him a grin, and she straightened up, turning on the spot to show off the outfit. "It's a character from a video game. I don't know anything about her, but when I went to the haunted house last my clothing got, like, eaten by fog, and it had s**t all to choose from. This at least looked cool." Small hands landed on her hips, then she was looking him over, gaze lingering on the elbow patches. "Are you a professor?" She gave him a tight, though brief, hug, before stepping back and hooping up on her stool again, small fingers snagging the edge of her fresh shot. Noah's soft voice had her leaning towards him, and she'd look up, smiling sweetly. "Mmhmm, and I'll bet more will come."

Walking past Paige and her current kissy partner, America caught the blonde's eye with a wink and held her hand up for a passing high-five.

Tracey did make his way back to Ferros, but he didn't say much, simply gave the other boil a slow, thoughtful look with his slitted red eyes, the only real light in his features besides the slashes below them like tears. There was a lot left unsaid in the look, but just as swiftly as it had come the seriousness was gone and once again Tracey was back to his indignant complaining and much lighter conversation. "Pity we can't drink." Not that Ferros could really appreciate alcohol, though the fallen angel expected there would be some way to put alcohol or fumes in him somehow.
America's suggestion had not gone unheeded though as Tracey set down his tray to climb up onto the table to raise his voice above the music..
"Whoever gets out there for a dance gets more free shots!"
And climbing back down he sat on one of the free bar stools.

Ferros met Tracey's eyes, silent and serious, and tilted a small, sweet smile at him. "A pity," he agreed contemplatively. "I am not sure I have true steam tanks." He tapped his chest with one finger, and the resultant sound was duller and less hollow than one might expect.
He moved over a little as Tracey sat down again, placing himself on the floor beside the bar stool.

"That was the idea," said Taym in response to Peyton's question, with a grim tone that suggested she'd actually asked him "and after this are you going to go turn yourself in?" instead of what it was he was wearing. He watched over her shoulder as Cee and Paige demonstrated that they'd apparently made amends, glance flitting onto and away from Ever and Ezekiel with marked discomfort quickly stifled. He downed the shot he'd been given after eyeing it skeptically, and almost immediately started looking around for another, which manifested almost like magic. God bless. He grinned at Noah, all shark teeth, and considered returning Peyton's hug by winding an arm around her waist just to see what he'd do before thinking better of it in case the answer was nothing at all, actually. "Be careful," he told him. "She holds her liquor well. Don't get competitive."

Noah held the fresh shot up, peering dubiously into its depths; it looked weird, some kind of drippy whitish liqueur on top of a clear liquid, shot through with somewhat alarming blue and red. It smelled sweet, and maybe less strong than the previous one. It must be consumable, he reasoned, because it wouldn't make sense for them to be passing out shots that weren't, so he took a breath and drank it. It tasted better than he'd expected, which was a relief. "These are pretty good," he said. "I didn't really have much to make a costume out of," he offered. "Hers is way better, it's like cosplay quality." He hesitated, decided not to ask why Taym sounded so unhappy about his costume. He probably didn't want to know, he told himself. "Okay. Um, thanks for the warning." His voice tilted up slightly, not making it a question, not quite. "I didn't drink much before," and he refrained from admitting that his previous experience with alcohol was limited to small glasses of wine at family parties, "so I'm going to try to be careful about it." The grin made him nervous, and he looked to Peyton, then sidled over to put his arm around her, feeling vaguely in need of moral support.

"I got lucky," she informed them both, turning her glass along the bar top. "If not for the Haunted House I wouldn't really have anything to wear. Prompted by Noah's positive reaction to the shot, she brought her's up and tipped it back with an appreciative hum. It was good, despite dubious looking contents. Of course, that had probably been the intention, Halloween and all. That empty glass was nestled into the first. Then an arm was looping around her shoulders, and she blinked up at Noah, bumping his arm with her temple, before flashing Taym a proud grin. "Taym was very disappointed by how well I seemed to hold my liquor. To be fair, the pain might have had a sobering effect, and I haven't had nearly as much since." A small shrug. "So who knows." Hands free, she looped her arm around Noah's waist. "Taking it easy is a good idea though. I hear hang overs can be a real b***h."

Noah putting his arm around Peyton's waist instead earned another, even sharkier and more a*****e grin. "Don't take it too easy, though," he suggested, and he reached out to ruffle Peyton's hair--carefully, given its meticulous styling--and with a distracted wave detached himself to see if there was some way to acquire more drinks that didn't require interaction with Rep or a golem.

Finn glanced down at himself, then back up at Jack. "You're just jealous that you don't have a pair to play with." Not that Finn was even actually wearing anything beyond a padded bra. Elle was not known for being well endowed in the chest department, just for being a smoking hot bad a** that looked sexy as hell in a nurses outfit, which Finn was pretty sure he could pull off as well if he wanted to. "So, how is that center for kids who can't read good coming along then?" He asked the Mr. Jack Zoolander, before his gaze went to Leslie. "We've met." The usual cold smile was given, "And what pirate doesn't like a bit of booty?" He asked Jack, before his attention was back on the Leslie again. "Don't worry, as absolutely delightful as you are-" Very thick on the sarcasm there, "-I don't always discriminate against s**t-stains. Drinks on me for the next half hour." Why not? He still had money to spend. He shrugged his shoulders in a 'don't mention it' kind of way, taking his drink when it arrived and downing it immediately, without pause. "I'll give you your actual present later. It's in my room...don't worry, this isn't another offer for sex." He smirked, and then sighed and gave his head a small shake. "Do I look that bad? s**t." He would have reached up to rub at his face but well...make up. "Ripley died." A few beats pause as he signaled for another drink, and then he continued. "Briefly. He's still in the infirmary. I'm sure he wishes he could have been here. Going to go see him again after this if you want to come with."

Zeke's kiss on the cheek was returned, and the blonde pecked her mist-bro on the cheek before leaning back against the bar. Suddenly there was a Cee, and the tiny brunette was gathered up into her arms because why the ******** not. She drew the woman in close and kissed her forehead, her chin and then her nose before scoffing wordlessly -- until America passed by. Paige gave America the cheekiest grin and returned the girl's high-five with one hand while she occupied the other with Cee's a**. As soon as America passed, Paige gave her complete attention to Cee. "I didn't have no time to put nothing together," Paige grunted and lifted a hand from Cee's hip to straighten the sock monkey hat that flattened her hair. "I was gonna dress up like you but none of your shoes fit me."

"Ha!" Cee broke away and retreated to her stool at the bar. She offered the beer that Zeke had bought her. "You wan'this? Zeke paid." The petite hunter opened her rolling case an pulled out a collections of bottles and jars and compacts. She then got some brushes and pencils. "I'll do yer face too. Think about what ya want while I do these queens." She motioned to Ever and Zeke.

Texting was very important or else she would stop. Text to Leslie Its called a costume, numbskull. And thanks! I'll take that to mean I look smokin' hot, of which I do uvu// When she looked back up Chel was leaning closer, and not for anything necessarily fun. A look of mild concern crossed her features, worried that she had been so obvious in her glances toward Jack and Leslie. It wasn't necessarily that she wanted to leave Chel, really she didn't, but Abbi just couldn't bring herself to force her friend over to see them as well. "Just two seconds... OK?" She winked and gave Chel's arm a little squeeze. "Gotta jump up and headbutt Jack in the knees, yanno?" Syn and Dawson were passed a smile before Abbi mumbled something about 'brbing' and hurried over to the trio assembled. "Wow, you on your way to a meeting about schools for kids who can't read really good?" Abbi asked in her most unimpressed look as she sidled up to Jack and gave him a good poke in the ribs. A look was passed to Leslie, a failed attempt at raising one eyebrow made. "And did you steal that stethoscope from the Infirmary? For shame, the two of you."As for Finn, he received a good once over, a careful squint of eyes and then a smile. "California Mountain Snake." Was her greeting with an accepting nod.

Chel nodded at Abbi's departure, but perked up slightly at the mention of Jack. He was here? She peeked around Dawson to see where Abbi was headed and- ah there he was. Dressed up as ... Jack in a suit? And beside him was Finn in drag- excellent choice. A person she didn't know stood beside them.
She gave that group a slight wave and then went straight back to focusing on Dawson completely. Her elbows bumped against the bar and she was leaning on one hand while listening to whatever he had to say.

"I-I wasn'--" Okay he had been staring a little maybe, but he had hoped it wasn't so obvious. A light swat at his back from Syn's tail told him that it really, really was. "Sawry," he mumbled again, averting his eyes. And then Abbi left to go find some dudes, leaving him with a stranger. A nice and pretty girl, but a stranger nevertheless. One he had been staring at. Crap.
Dawson fidgeted and pulled at his cap, trying to adjust to the mood now that it was just them both. Well, and Syn too, but Syn was like a mom or something and barely counted. "Yeah I, uh, I-I help with the town stuff sometimes," he replied belatedly, still flushed in the face from earlier. "She's a real nice gal."
He lapsed into a Wanna Be Nice But Don't Know What To Say silence for a short period, hands still clasping at each other.
"So, uh...how's yer day been?" Dawson ventured.
