The War of the Gods

Ruji used a finger to tap Evleyn supprizingly on the nose, "aha, but that's just it. YOu havn't relized exacly how many connections I've already seen you having wether you fancy those conenections or not. You don't know wha tyou got till it's gone." He turned finally and strighting his coat in thought. She could probably notice he was mumbling to himself in deep thought, probably something to do with her answer before snapped out of it and motioned further through the woods. Now completely quiet however. As if satisfied with her answer to the random question.

Shortstraw smirked, "well in that case I think we'll be the victors. Seems to me when plans are made, theynever go right anyways, and sometimes the enemy can suspect the plan you made and counter. Where winging it can go both ways. Even you don't know how things will go, and that is truly what makes to two of us dangrious." He laughed before getting more serious. Those things in a group ahead, where they were hearding up some of the wounded people form they war and making them lay next to eachother in wonder what the things were going to do to them.

*Shortstraw carfully pulled out some banoculars and peeked out, zooming in to get a better look. "Looks like a few with broken arms, and legs. Others with debree stuck through them in some way..." he whispered as he glared and looked to her, "and they aren't all human either." He however figured she already knew that and nodded in agreement, "question is how... they are simple hostages. And relocating them will be hard if some of them can even move, or walk."

Meanwhile Ruji looked to Evleyn on his shoulder. This was actually the first time he saw her like this, He blinked a few times, and reached up slowly as if to actually feel if the black cat was real. As his hand toched the top of her head he almost smiled, and for once it was noticeable. "Interesting. The cat annolergys really have meaning." He pet her for a moment, then remembered she wasn't ad animal, "back in my time Cats were one of the best creatures of all. It was said they were the keepers of the dead, and the damned. It's ironic that your a demon in the same aspect but..." he looked back to her. "I always enjoyed cats... your fur is perfict aswell... could use a slight river bath to make it shine black, but still vary nice and somewhat soft..." it was like he was trying to just say. "You make a pretty cat." But nah... he couldn't do that, he didn't know what that would mean. He however took a carful stride of her tail, "perhaps I can assit your tail however. You see after train, the black cat I remeind you, I came to live with control of the body. I had spent some time assiting many creatures in aid. I'll have to see what I can do for you. After all, I promes not to step upon your tail as many others shall. I respect the tail, as if an arm for animietic creatures." Finally they came to a clearing and he stopped, "this would be a perfect spot to start."

*Ruji gave a nod, basically breaking there little moment to snap them back to there task. "For the summoning. I have to lead the Shimigami Spirits to war against the hell-folk. It's probably going to take all I have to summon them too. Being rusty I'm unsure how many I can really summon at a time. I've never had to summon more the five at once. Each summoned will take a percentage of my total life energy. Not life as in if they take it all I'll die or anything, it's just the energy that works like a soul sort of, keeps them in the living world be connecting to a living creature's energy." He explained as he stepped in the center of the clearing. He looked down and hesitated before looking to her, "if you wish you can sit this trip to the realm out... wait here... I do not intend to take you to a place where you will be shunned and lost."

Shortstraw nodded, "well then I guess we can go charging in, but theres a lot of them and only two of us to protect the others so they aren't hostages." He however scanned something and had to double take. "Hold it. That's new..." he pointed out to a diffent shapped enemy from the other side. This one wasn't Golem-like as they others they had seen previously were. No this one looked horrifingly like freash tissue from the insides of a person. Well up close that was scary but, back where they were it wasn't so bad at all. "That thing must be in charge of the grunts we faced before. First time seeing that one..." he watched as it walked to the line of wounded humans and Yokai. It rose an arm, much like that of a tentical and suddenly shot it into the stomach of one of the humans... at this point Shortstraw stood no longer able to watch, "lets go!"

*Shortstraw went straight for the only thing he felt he could take down, whatever that thing was that the golems seemed to try and protect. It didn't have a earthlike shell. As he ran he glanced to where hana was easily rosting the head of a golem. This made him smile, it was like a mini eve... on a suger rush. ((XD lol)) he was cut short however and had to get back on task when a swing just missed his head and he ducked, slid behind a golem and used a chain from the inside of his coat, where his grabble was, to make the thing fall forword. He couldn't damage then like hana was... but he could knock them over, disorient them. Finally he got to the large discusting creature. it was about twice as tall as him and turned going to an attack with one of it's tenticals. Shortstraw turned, faked a dodge, and out came his hidden blade as he chopped the tentical thing off and went for a straight on attack. With all he had, he went for a blow where he though, was the torso. But orangish like guts just spilled over him, the creature still moved like it had before, unaffected like a gaint form or gello missing a chunk or to. It was rather discussing, but it turned to the wounded again to contuine attaching something to the wounded men. Slice, went that tenitical like arm aswell. Another slice at it's face, It split, but again, the creature payed it no mind. And so shortstraw lept back to gain so ground. By now hanna was closer, but he had this. HE had this. He couldn't show he lost those balls already, he got a running start, burst into the dashing speed like he used to and aimed to go straight through the center of the damn thing. But instead as he went into it's torso... he got stuck... stuck inside the enemy. Keria would have laughed at him for this one. He was basicly beaten by a gaint gello, and now it had him.

meanwhile Ruji gave a nod, "I seemed to have been the one to have forgotten." The star appeared around him again on the ground, this time without him needing to draw it. A bluish Arua started to spread around them and suddenly, they returned where they were once before. However this time they were standing in a star ring in the center of the large building. Ruji called out, "I have a favor and aid to ask of this realm...." he spoke laud and strong. Without any fear or sense of defeat in his words, "for the forces of hell may arise, and I need your aid to assist in the fight!" A few of the souls appeared in form around him, "you already do that Ruji the Summoning King." But Ruji shook his head, "no when I faced was the Demon race. Now the Devils may arise to take over the land of the living. I ask for assistance in the form or war."

*Shortstraw made a face, "all I have is physical..." he pulsed and faceplamed, "crap no I don't. But I never practiced the lightning... I could end up hurting the others." The thing turned back to the ones on the ground. The first victum was strating to roll around and spew. Something was happening, the body was changing...

In such a cold place, any warmth was conforting here in the soul realm. "I'll need to summon multable souls this time, to the full extent and lead you all into battle aginst the devil massive of hell. If you fight along side me, You will be granted you way to move on." He called out. Many souls spoke at once, but the large booming one answered, "vary well Summoning King. But how will you perform such a ritral?" Ruji smirked, his first smerk Evelyn had ever seen, it was reassuring... and creepy. "I have ways..." he looked to Evelyn, "and a demon to help me pull it off."

Ruji nodded loosing his grin, "tell me about it, I lived with one for thousands of years. He was commenting on the black cat part, and gave her a nod as he turned to walk back to the circle to leave. When a soul reached out and grabbed his arm. Ruji stopped quickly, but didn't bother turning. "Yes?" He asked. If Evelyn did look for him, she would find a little girl looking soul. Small, defenseless and scared looking. "What about the ones who don't go Mr?" Ruji pulled his arm away from her grasp and continued tot he circle, "then theres always next time. I can only do so much..." And suddenly they vanished to the real world again, but instead of appearing in the circle, they flew back, and Ruji had to use a tree to cetch himself. He then looked to his partner in crime, "Alright pro's and cons. Pro's to having a army of souls, they cant die, never tire, and do not require food. Cons, they take my energy, I have to release them, and more importantly each one comes with terms of there own, as to the reason why they are stuck souls to begin with. I'll need paper... a lot of paper. And this..." he squtted down and drew a symbol in the dirt, "I need you to place this wherever you can. Use your teleportation and resouces to get as many of these on anything, or anywhere that civilions are being kept. While you do that, i'll start the long meditation to gather my energys to see how many I can possably summon. To go as I am now... fours my limet. So i'll need time. I'll remain here. There will be a seal to keep enemys out. The only way you will be able to get in, is by saying a password." He whispered it low to her cat ears, "I befriended the enemy." he winked at her.

Shortstraw jumped, but at the same time he understood Hana's recklessness. Sacrfice the one, for the rest. He placed one hand onver the other and begin charging up, meanwhile the creature turned finally to Hana. It seemed it was displeased of her action. It even spat something at her, a large form of goo... and it was rather fast! But the lava from Hana, made it back up in fear now, it understood that fact that I could be burned... well... melted more like. He quickly went to one of the bodys of the golem and suddenly went into the armor of the dead beast, using it as a host to fight back. Clearly though hana had this covered, but shortstraw went for his lightning strike at the golems behind hana, closing in for a attack so the other could get away. Shortstraw bounced between each one like a pinball, shocking each ones body, and frying the innereds that way until he miss fired, the golem all fell but the one with the goop, and shortstraw landed in the pile of the wounded people dizzy as could be.

*Shortstraw had wide eyes as he held a hand to his head, "what... what the hell are you doing?!" He asked. Okay so maybe he missed a few golems, but he got most of them. And it wasn't like he was wounded... just alittle dizzy it would pass... but maybe she thought he was being hit back and forth. After all he never used his speed like that often around the family anymore. "Hana... im fine really... that was one of my attacks." He chuckled, "that and this is kind of awkward."

Ruji looked to Evelyn with a blink before she disappeared. But as soon as she did he felt a large tug on his foot. It almost lifted him off the ground. But he figured she was aware of that. And that she would stay within the area in there limets. He had to move slightly but soon sat down crosslegged to start his meditation. Closing his eyes, and putting his hands on his legs he started to hum.
