I just thought it meant not having pigment. and yes, I have an older half brother that my mom had when she was raped by her stepdad. and I have a younger half brother and two younger half sisters that my mom had with my stepdad. and I have a younger half brother that dan (my biological father) had with Sunshine (the woman he was with when I first met him a few years ago).

Chieftain Twilight SinfulGuillotine Chieftain Twilight first of all, the HP fandom is not going to die out any time soon. it's actually being revitalized. besides which, it's going to remain as iconic as Star Wars and Princess Bride. but on to the meat of this. yes, I get that Brittish people are aware of Brittish actors long before they become famous to americans or other parts of the world. you have to understand that we don't get most of your broadcasting. we learn about these people when we do. simple as that. it doesn't mean that we don't have a right to become enamoured with them just because we're late to the party. that isn't fair. I realise the Harry Potter fandom will remain alive and well for many years to come. The people who have always loved it still love it, and I have no doubt that new people will continue to discover it and love it, too. I just meant that all the movies have been out for a while now (and all the books have been out much longer than that), and as such, it's slowly becoming less and less a part of the current mainstream consciousness. Of course you're allowed to be enamoured with whomever strikes your fancy. I wasn't arguing otherwise. You're doing that thing where you take me too seriously. I was just poking fun. oh, ok. sweatdrop I'm the kind of person that tends to take people seriously alot. redface and, actually, there are going to be new movies released, based on the extra material Rowling wrote for the Wizarding World. I've noticed that, haha. I don't take anything seriously if I can help it. I guess humour is a little harder to identify in text-based communication. If what I'm saying seems a little ridiculous and/or uptight, I'm probably joking. I'm generally a pretty reasonable, laid-back guy, so when I say things that seem contrary to that, odds are I'm not being serious.

Well, I say what I mean when I'm being serious. Technically I say what I mean when I'm joking, too...I'm just not being serious, but that's still what I meant to say. I do generally try to speak more literally online, because jokes are harder to identify without gesticulations and vocal intonation, and because the people I'm addressing generally don't know me well enough to know the kinds of things I would never say and actually seriously mean. But, old habits die hard. It's less of an issue in more serious conversations, where my tendency is to over-explain (online or offline), because in that situation, it's very important to me that I'm properly understood. I often even go so far as to read my own words back to myself, identify the various ways in which they could potentially be misunderstood, and edit in further clarifications before posting. But in more light-hearted conversation, I tend to be a lot less obsessed with being misunderstood because I'm not really making any serious points or arguments.

I get the impression that you overthink everything. xd
