While under most circumstances Amarante's ooey-gooey-gushy feelings would be enough to make Hyde ill, right now her best friend was torn in one of the worst ways and there was someone directly responsible for this. And she hadn't told Hyde of this right away? Ama had planned on detailing this over a nice breakfast as though it were a trifle from yesterday's news? Surely the little demon knew that this was going to piss her off regardless, but a delay only provided more time for someone capable of threatening her time to actually do something. She didn't doubt her friend's ability to fight, but the odd man-thing she was doting over seemed to make her lose all sense. While she was glad that her friend was happy for a time, it really made Hyde uncomfortable that she lost all sense around that man and faltered where she normally wouldn't.
Miyabi's question was accented by the continued cracking of Hyde's mug. She felt bad about to soon-to-be wasting of the gourmet coffee that wasn't available in this realm, but right now she really didn't give a ******** about spilled brew. Someone needed to have their insides spilled.

It was comforting for Amarante, to be held within the cool arms of someone so dear to her. Not to the point of missing Hyde's quiet ire but it was certainly more of a shock to discover it, that way. "Wh-what are you so angry about? It wasn't as if you were attacked, Hydecchi." She snuggled into Miyabi's arms a little further to shield herself from the elf's rage. Though looking up at Miyabi's face wasn't as assuring as it could be, as her eyes were still cold as she waited expectantly for the identity of the perpetrator. Averting her line of vision from both of them, she finally explained. "It was that robot that's been around. Surely you've seen him? Blonde hair... one limb." It was a point that stuck in Amarante's mind, being that she'd been caught in that hell of near limblessness quite memorably herself. Before either could say anything, she tucked her face into Miyabi's shoulder protectively. "He managed to pin us into a corner where I had no chance of fighting back. I wonder what you'd hope to accomplish yourself, if you intended to seek him out."
With a hand softly meeting the back of head of red hair that had taken refuge against her, Miyabi felt somewhat defeated before she'd even been given a chance to take a stand against her source of aggression. "That's really unfair, Mother. Both keeping that tension to yourself and denying a follow through to those who care about you." And with one kind hand came the other, that pulled a bit on her mother's closest ear.
Even squirming in pain, Amarante couldn't help but protest. "But it's just my problem, and my own fault, so--"
"'But' nothing. We care about you so let us care for you. Right, Hyde-oba?" Miyabi was certainly cheerful as she relayed her judgment. Able to issue a scolding and she had the possibility of backup as well!

Why was Amarante boxing this stuff up and keeping those around her in the dark? It was her responsibility? Her fault? Isn't that what friends and family are for? To provide support and help when things happen. That was almost as bad as someone threatening her life, to Hyde. As someone with very few beings in existence who could tolerate the ancient being, let alone befriend her, Hyde felt... hurt that her friend didn't bring this up sooner. The poor coffee mug was little more than crunched up shards soaked in hot brew now. Something like that was not enough to even leave a mark on the elf, nor was the heat enough for her to notice. Instead her hands were planted firmly on the table, mess included, and she stood up to lean as close as she could to the duo on the other side. "Amarante, you know better than to keep anything like that to yourself. Anything that affects you affects the rest of us. If someone threatens you, they are threatening all of us. If they mean to harm you, I make sure they think twice before they consider the act. When you're hurt, Miyabi is there to help. There are more around you to help you when bad things happen. You may think it a matter of dignity to try to say this is all you and nothing but you, but it is hurtful to the rest of us who care about you to ignore our aid."The elf paused a moment to wipe her eyes with the back of her hand. She'd always felt like she'd been progressively more forgotten as the years went by since she had her Fate taken away. She did not need to get that feeling from her best friend, too. "Oh, I do plan to seek him out, Ama. WHat happens when I find him - it - will all depend on what strikes my fancy at the time. But for a robot in a corpse it will learn fear, if it doesn't know it already." There was so much more she wanted to say on the matter, but it involved her thoughts and feelings about the man that the demon had been completely smitten by. That was frustration she could always take out on the corpse robot.

Discontent with the fact that it seemed like she'd lost control of the situation, Amarante played her emotional cards as she saw fit. A pout and a whine over her tugged ear would be enough for one of them. "Exactly what will hurting me accomplish, though? Geez~" Though how effective her pleading really was with Miyabi's response of rolling her eyes was uncertain, it seemed to work well enough for her fingers to sweep the hair out of Amarante's face and follow up with continuing to pet her hair, anyway.
As for the elf, some further emotional subterfuge might be necessary. Sometimes a hint of brutality was necessary to get the point across, and Amarante was going to have to do just that. "Can you blame me? Much like that robot, you don't seem to have been all that happy about the situation with Eru and me either." Maybe being compared to the robot she disliked would cause Hyde to change her mind about some things. Or at the very least, consider why she felt that way to begin with. Especially considering! "That I had to go so far as shooting you to get you to leave him alone... hmph." The mess she'd ended up entangled in before might've influenced the elf's thoughts and reactions. "But this isn't like before. I'm not being manipulated whatsoever." But just how much assurance would it take to finally get that message across?

Why did stuff like this have to go on in the morning? Particularly, why did this have to happen in the morning after she had been -literally- dragged out of bed? And being compared to that robot monstrosity to boot. Was this all of Hyde's deeds beginning to catch up on her? Was something else going to happen? Well, before anything decided it was going to just kill her she decided to stuff her face with pastries as Amarante went on. The demon was poignantly reminding her of the shots fired - and the unsaid exchange of the mana spirit. Damn damn damn. She was going to have to be a little more careful now that she was a little more aware of things right now. "Mrmph..." she tried to begin her retort with a mouthful of flaky pastry. With a quick wash of juice Hyde began again. "I don't think you're being manipulated, Ama-cha. More that around that man you seem to lose yourself. The Irazoki Amarante I remember wouldn't have stood for being threatened by a robo-corpse and have done what I plan on doing to him. But instead what I'm hearing is you seem to lose your wits around that man, and that is what has me worried the most." That last line trailed off as her eyes lost most of their intensity. "That you'd go away if he wished it." It was completely selfish, she knew, but she had to voice her concerns outright or she'd never be able to do it. Hyde was not good at 'subtle' or 'insinuation' or anything else that Ama was really good at.

Ah, now she'd done it. Miyabi wasn't looking forward to Amarante's reply, especially considering she was being called out upon quite the sticky subject indeed. Maybe Mother would be reasonable about it? Either way she hoped it didn't result in any sort of fight, food or otherwise, considering she was still holding the person that was being criticized.
They'd likely both find it a bit odd, with the quiet little redhead they were met with instead. A further snuggle into Miyabi's arms, perhaps, but probably nothing of the reaction either of them expected. "In a way, you're right." How she sought comfort and warmth at that moment, though between that girl's cool arms and the cold ones she longed for, it seemed that anything but warm was coming around as what was truly comforting? How very strange. "Because of being pushed forth by the will of a dead man and my own wish for happiness, my hesitation is fading away. Not always good, but... not always bad, I think." And all correlated all around. Prompted by the hopes of a man long since ashes; his innocent wish for her happiness and that she wouldn't let it escape. So that selfishness of hers was all the further inflamed as it was both prompted and fed between that carried will and hers. Though that quiet acceptance was stripped away as her words became morose. "How would we have fought, in such a place and against such a person? There are things that you aren't taking into consideration about what happened." She buried her face against Miyabi, words muffled but still understandable. "You know what he is, don't you? Imminent death for anyone that's not immune. One wrong move would've meant everyone in the cafe would've been dead and who knows how many more in the incident that would've followed." Finally lifting her head once more, the face that met the elf's line of sight was clearly pained. "I know it's dangerous, but I won't abandon him." Still somewhat defiant, though maybe not as much as Hyde might've expected.

Some days it was hard to tell who the demon was and who should be the one taken for frolicking through the forest and singing her whimsical songs of a time long lost. Amarante really was over-thinking the problem at hand and that was frustrating to Hyde. Why did everyone today have to go and make a big deal about problems with simple solutions? Additionally, Hyde was almost constantly vexed by Ama's attachment to the past - one man in particular. Of course she wanted her friend to be happy. She'd had a tortured past and always was reminded in some manner about her reason for being; along with several other constant reminders. This was one of those things the ancient elf could not relate to. Partly because her own history kept fading into obscurity with time and new memories. So she came to the conclusion that it was best for her to not dwell on the matter at all. Which added to the oddity of someone near and dear doing the exact opposite. "You know you're making a simple solution really complicated, right? If the robo-corpse wants to fight in a way that decimates large areas instead of focusing that energy on the opponent at hand it is their issue and their fault for any collateral damage. If a few hundred people die in the process of killing that thing then the rest of the world will be safe from him. It. Does it even acknowledge gender? Regardless, kill him off as soon as possible and he's no longer an issue later on. Simple." Of course Amarante would not see it her way. Creative differences were to be expected.
